Don't apologize. That was a fabulous reaction to the best arrangement of any Christmas song ever. "Why am I getting so excited?" I think you know now. I had the same reaction the first time I heard this. I never really liked this song, but I had to listen to it again, immediately, and several times. Adam just did such an amazing arrangement. And the boys interpreted it so amazingly. One down, only about 150 to go. And you are absolutely right that PTX, VP and HF each have a unique approach. Love the description. I think this is my favourite Christmas song. The guys apparently don't do many of Adam's arrangements as they are so complex. Adam's arrangement of this is stunning. It's unique, creative and complex. I wish he'd arrange more songs for Home Free because he certainly has a talent for it. I love this so much I don't just listen to it at Christmas time, I play it all year long. In my opinion, Home Free are the G.O.A.T.!! Love these guys and their music. They bring the heart connection to whatever they perform. You feel their love for music and performing and their fans The way they bring their unique and versatile gifts to their performances endears them to all of us Home Fries. Thanks for a great reaction.
Welcome to Home Free. You will never be disappointed. I enjoyed your reaction. These boys are what I call the A Capella Giants. They average 6'2" plus cowboy boots. The pictures of them with fans are so much fun. They stand literally head and shoulders above most fans. And their talent stands head and shoulders above anything I have ever heard. And yes, they are the world's only all country A Capella group. There is no better.
I really enjoyed your reaction. You might enjoy Home Free’s version of “Oh Holy Night”, “Angels We Have Heard On High”, or Silent Night”. They also do humorous videos like “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer”. They can really do any type of music, but do tend to stay within the Country and Western.
I wonder if he's done VP's Dragonborn. Fantastic and great opening bass by Geoff. He is right though, VP only has Geoff for the low range and is stacked with high voices. HF was smart to swap out Chris with Chance to give them more depth with dual bass dives.
To each his own, of course, but for my money, Home Free is the best--period. Such an exceptional arrangement by Home Free's own wizard and incomparable vocal percussionist, Adam Rupp ⛄🪄🎄 And such a nice treat to hear Chris Rupp's smooth baritone getting some focus❣️🎼🥰🎶♥️
For me is Home Free the number one group. Not only do they all have different great voices each with their own specialties, but they also have the best beatboxer/vocal percussionist I've ever heard. They find out who has the best voice or voicess for each song. No regular lead singer. Besides their great personalities, they have no egos, no rivalry, true brotherhood, really good hearts and have remained themselves. Follow them and you will be surprised how talented they are . Here it is with Chris Rupp (with hat). He started the group 22 years ago with his brother Adam Rupp (the beatboxer). Chris left the group in 2016 for a solo album and other projects such as 7th ave and Cypress Fyre. This song is for me one of the best arranged songs( by Adam), or perhaps the best, of Home Free. So impressive! The so great harmonies, the sound effects, colors, etc. in such a beautiful but cold environment. When I saw and heard this for the first time, I did repeat it a few times. Just amazing.
This was arranged by their beatboxer Adam Rupp. This is not what you could consider typical of their songs, with this extreme soundscape. Their specific thing is their very tight harmonies. And yes, PTX, Voiceplay and Home Free all have distinct styles. Home Free is considered as country a capella, but they don't restrict themselves and cover all genres.
Glad you loved it brother. These guys are the most versatile acapella group out there. Love voice play and Pentatonix. Yet these guys for me are the best. Check out "Snow Globe" original song by Tim Faust. Thank you for your reaction. Woooooooo!!!!
Don't apologize for reacting. We love to see new reactors blown away by our guys. You think the bass is intense here .. wait till you get to see them in person ...🤯🤯🤯
Dude 😂😂😂😂😂😂 you look like your head was gonna pop off. Your eyes were darting around trying to figure things out like 15 seconds in. This is so beautiful in person.
I love all the a capella groups, but Home Free is my favorite. You are so right, they are all distinct, but Home Free is always bass to the bone. Great reaction. Next try Mary Did You Know.
Home free grandma got run over by a reindeer...and welcome to the home free rabbit hole...there are soooo many that will just blow your mind...God bless the USA with Lee Greenwood and the Air Force Band, the butts remix, country fried pop medley, man of constant sorrow, elvira with the oak ridge boys, children go where I send thee with Kenny rogers, all about the bass, like I said. They are astronomical!
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. They have never ever done a bad song! Their bass Tim Foust has a 5-octave voice range. They all blend so well, and the harmonies are beyond this world. You need to check out Mary Do you Know, Holy Night, Angels We Have Heard on High, In The Blood. End of the Road cove of Boyz II Men and so many more. Absolutely love your reaction!
Trust me with this song and others, Tim's bass can start your heart. He's been known to blow speakers, rattle ceiling tiles, vibrate the floors, cause dust to leave speakers. He's the real deal, 5 plus range. Arrangement by the beat boxer and band starter Adam Rupp, his brother who is coming starter is in this one.
New sub! I personally enjoyed the flailing about. I never knew a beanie could be used so hilariously in a reaction! 🤣 That was great. This was arranged by Adam Rupp - beatboxer/percussionist extraordinaire. Never was a huge fan of the song until I heard this. Can't wait for more Home Free reactions. Btw, fans of Home Free are called home fries ------> 🍟
Tim Foust's "Dragon breath" is something else isn't it? He is known to rattle chairs and ribcages during their concerts as well as making plaster coming down.
Welcome to Home Free!!!! All are welcome to this wonderful acapella ride. There is no group out there like Home Free. Keep diving into this rabbit hole and i will sub.
Loved it! Home Free is an amazing group that can be serious ( Brothers in Arms, Everybody Walking this Land, Helpless Hoping) Goofy ( Between a Rock and a Heartache, Thank God I'm a country boy, All about that Bass, Working for a Living) , Moving ( Country Roads take Me home, How Great thou Art, in the Blood ) amazing Mashups ( Butts remix, Country Fried Pop, Women, Amen/Female) or Simply Great originals ( Land of the Free, Dive Bar Saints, Dreamer, Undivided, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, Understand) and has Had collaborations with Kenny Rogers ( Children go where I send thee) and the Oakridge Boys ( Elvira, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem) Some of their Christmas ones include Angels we have heard on High, Grandma got Run over by a Reindeer, Cold Hard Cash for Christmas, Mary did you know?, Snow Globe, oh Holy Night & What Christmas means to me, among others Subbing in the hope of more Home Free
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Home Free! They are the best acapella group to me! Great reaction..i had to put my head phones on to see why you were freaking out over Tim Foust low notes. I can see why now lol I love Home Free😊
Welcome to the rabbit hole. These guys are amazing. Pick anything they do and it's 🔥. They are just as good live. If you want to hear their harm9nies better react to Oh Holy Night, helplessly Hoping, and Brothers in Arms.
Another thing watch to the end of their videos. Also don't watch Mayday till you know The Guys names and whom sings what...you will seriously appreciate the wait. 😊. Try doing their O'Holy Night it will blow your mind!
Boy you started out with one of Home Free's best. The beatboxer Adam Rupp arranged this masterpiece. They have a huge catalog of music and its all good. Enjoy the journey through their catalog.
This video includes OG baritone Chris Rupp, who left the group in 2016, Many Home Fries think that Adam "Chance," Rupp's handpicked replacement, has made HF even more versatile
No it’s ok. That’s how we feel when we listen to them. Home Free is amazing. Such good harmonies. The beatboxer arranged this and they don’t let him do that too much as he makes arrangements so complicated. Yes, they’re country but they sing all genres and can be really goofy too. Love them. Try Mary Did You Know, Helplessly Hoping, Angels We Have Heard on High. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing up with the tenors but go super low. They’ve been writing a lot so they have a lot of originals too….Understand, Save the World, Snow Globe, Cold Hard Cash, Full of Cheer. Good reaction! Have a wonderful Christmas.
I enjoyed watching you react to this. It's an emotional arrangement! There's so much..that tribal dance reggae beat...the darker, richer beginning...man my all time favorite Christmas song because Adam Rupp did this one. Loved watching your face change. I think Home Free has the most amazing ability to get not just a response but an emotional response of any band I can think of in the past 10 years.
Do not apologize for letting the music amaze you. HF is really an amazing group. Yes, they are named a country band, but they do everything from 50s country classics to parodies of current pop songs. If you want gorgeous harmonies - How Great Thou Art or Helplessly Hoping. If you want 80s-90s rock; try Never Gonna Give You Up, Romance? When a Man Loves a Woman. Rom-com? I Swear or Make You Feel my Love. Fantastic originals? Too many to list, but they run from patriotic through lost and/or found love to hilarious Christmas songs. ENjoy the Home Free Rabbit warren.
Lmao! I'm glad you kept your hat on! It looked like your brain was trying to escape the shock and awe you were experiencing! 🤯🤣 I do like PTX and Voice Play, but Home Free is my favorite! They lean towards country quite a bit, but are capable and comfortable covering all genres! Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. It's deep and diverse and you'll not find a bad performance on their lists! ❤
Great that you've now touched on all three of the major players now , each of these acapella groups brings something slightly different to the table, but one thing they all have in common is that each group has an outstanding bass and beatbox combination covering percussion effects that raises their songs to another level. Great to see you enjoying more of the music that we love.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that reaction!!!! If I could press the 👍 button 10,000 times, I would!! I LOVE their version of this song because to me it makes it feel more celebratory. In regards to Voiceplay and not “feeling” their low end, don’t give up on them. Listen to their covers of “Halo,” “Skyrim,” “Oogie Boogie’s Song,” and much more. Check out Geoff Castelluci’s channel where he replicates himself for all the parts…gives appreciation for his 5 octave range!! Enjoy!
Thank you for reacting to the Home Free guys. They are amazing. What is great about HF is they don't take themselves too seriously. You might want to try a fun song...Cold Hard Cash...written by Austin Brown, the high Tenor...or...Full Of Cheer...written by Tim Foust, the bass man. Up to you. I realize it is a little late, but you never know. Thanks again. 😊
This is *such* a satisfying composition. Super atmospheric intro, the 4 octaves in 4 seconds round is such a fun flex, Tim's bass work is great (as always), Austin busts out an amazingly accurate quacky Strat-NO-caster funk guitar line (crazy!), & that Stevie Wonder -esque key twist 3/4 in is #ChefsKiss!! So much to keep the ear entertained. Adam (the beatboxer btw) deserves some kind of award for creating an arrangement this special from a much less interesting original. :)
This group is the REAL DEAL....on their season of the TV show The Sing-Off, Home Free won and Voiceplay came in 3rd place !!! Songs theirs you should react to - COVERS - Listen to the Music, Brothers in Arms, I can't outrun you, One-man Band, ORIGINALS - DIVE BAR SAINTS, Catch me if you can, Cross that Bridge, Understand, Road Sweet Road, & Dreamer, and collabs - with Kenny Rodgers "Children where I Send Thee", with the Oak Ridge Boys "Elvira", with Don McLean, American Pie (for its 50th anniversary)...patriotic - an original, Land of the Free, cover - My Country Tis of Thee, Only in America, Born in the USA...Country - Some Girls Do, take me home Country Roads, Moonshine, Folsom Prison Blues. That's a good list to start off with.
Caution: Home Free is highly addictive. 3 of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. And lots of live videos and, as they all have individual channel(s), lots of solo music as well. Two of them also have a side project "Sweet & Low Music Co.". Although they sing everything from goofy to gospel, they'll always sound a little 'country' 'cuz 3 of them are from southern U.S. states.
This is a great introduction to Home Free. They show you the depth to their music. Altogether they have a 5-octave range. I’m sure there are others who have broken it all down. The accent you heard is pure Georgia. I’ve been following them off and on since 2013, but now it’s what I choose to hear. I hope that you will come back with more Home Free!
Your reactions are seemingly genuine, I'm not surprised by them! This the way most first-time listeners react. So happy you discovered them. Just to let you know, there is no need to distort or mask Home Free or Voice Play videos. This is their primary way to get their music out to the masses. They want everyone to see and hear them clearly. there is no copyright problems with them. You're in for quite a ride with home free! Welcome to the "Home Fries"
While the fans may argue over who is the best group, all three groups know each other and support each other. There's a joking rivalry between Tim Foust and Geoff Castellucci, who pretty much have the same range give or take a note, but they're actually good friends. Each of the groups kind of have different niches, so there's not a lot of overlap in their songs, though Christmas music tends to be the exception. Which is a long way of saying don't feel like you have to pick. They're all excellent.
I loved your flailing. I loved your authentic reaction. Pentatonix'is wonderfully talented, & I love their rendition of Hallelujah. And enjoy a few others that they've done. But I think Home Free will always be my favorite. Voiceplay for some reason I can't get into. I guess I've been spoiled by Home Free.
Liked and Subscribed. Homefree is AMAZING. Got to see them recently and they sang this live. Adam Rupp is in my opinion the best beat boxer out there. He also arranged this Masterpiece.
That was a sweet reaction. I thought you were going to melt right before your hat disappeared your eyes 😂 They do cover all genres - Austin and Rob even do a beautiful version of Nessun Dorma on Austin's channel. Tim, the bass, collaborates sometimes with Peter Hollens, an amazing a cappella artist. They did Misty Mountains from the Hobbit together - brilliant - and an amazing low note at the end. Peter Hollens does my favorite version of I See Fire from Lord of the Rings with an incredible amount of layering.....Now I'm going to watch you come unglued again 😂
Best reaction to a Home Free song ever!!! Loved your reaction and comments. Welcome to the musical journey of Home Free! They are by far the best a cappella group. You just need to hear more of their songs. They do covers in every genre and plenty of HF originals. I especially love the country covers they do. I hope you react to "Helplessly Hoping", IMO they have a warmth and texture more than the other groups! On the more comical side maybe "Butts Medley" Hope you continue Home Free rabbit hole! New subscriber and great reaction, too! I thought Tim broke you with his low notes. He does blow speakers. I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas! They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
Yup, Austin's Georgia twang is always there. Tim's drawl from Texas and Chance's from Alabama get stronger when they sing country songs. (And when Tim goes into storytelling mode.) It adds a surprising touch to "O Holy Night". Or hear them do a very different style singing "What Christmas Means To Me" by Stevie Wonder.
They are the first ever Country Acappela group. This group and VoicePlay were on the TV show The Sing Off the season after Pentatonix. Home Free was the winner of the show Season 4. They have been around since 2000 and are still going strong. The song you just listened to was arranged by the beatboxer of the group Adam Rupp. The Basso Profundo and his name is Tim Foust. As for Christmas music : Full of Cheer, Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, Warmest Winter, Winter Song, Beautiful Star Of Bethlehem with Jeffrey East and The Oak Ridge Boys, Cold Hard Cash, Away In The Manger , Mary Did You Know, Children Go Where I Send Thee with Kenny Rodgers, Christmas In Dixie with Alabama, Non Christmas songs, End of the Road Boyz 2 Men cover , Road Sweet Road , Cover Me ,Up Helplessly Hoping ,Brother ,Butts Melody/Remix ,Brother in Arms and anything on their playlist Hope this helps Happy Holidays
@@ryanellsworth7246 Layne can actually go pretty deep, but they don’t utilise that very often.
Ohh... he's got to watch Full of Cheer! It's freaking hilarious 😂
they have a brand new one called "have your self a merry little christmas"
@@debbiestumm511 YES YES YES!!!!! 😁😁😁😁
Can't wait till you hear Tim's Texas twang. I'm onboard for your journey into HF
Their beatboxer, Adam Rupp put this together. He is one of the best.
To each his own, of course, but for my money, Home Free is the best--period.
Such an exceptional arrangement by Home Free's own wizard and incomparable vocal percussionist, Adam Rupp ⛄🪄🎄
And such a nice treat to hear Chris Rupp's smooth baritone getting some focus❣️🎼🥰🎶♥️
Their version of “Hillbilly Bone” is a great song to play while driving. It’s bass heavy and a lot of fun!!
Glad you loved it brother. These guys are the most versatile acapella group out there. Love voice play and Pentatonix. Yet these guys for me are the best. Check out "Snow Globe" original song by Tim Faust. Thank you for your reaction. Woooooooo!!!!
I agree 100%! I love them all, but I can listen to Home Free for hours.
Don't apologize for reacting. We love to see new reactors blown away by our guys. You think the bass is intense here .. wait till you get to see them in person ...🤯🤯🤯
Your reaction to Tim's basso profundo was PRICELESS!!! I hope you continue down the HF rabbit hole!
Excellent choice!
Best arrangement of this Carol I've ever heard. It's absolutely a masterpiece!
Saw Tim blow a speaker in KC Dec 1. They performed this song. Great live.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole...enjoy the ride! =)
Great reaction 🥰
Subscribed for more Home Free ❤️
🤘🤠🤘
Same! Can't wait for his reaction to Mayday and Helplessly Hoping! 😁
@@debbiestumm511 yes!! 😁
Thanks for reacting to this group - hope you will do more of Home Free; you won't be disappointed with the range of talent they have.
Tim Foust's "Dragon breath" is something else isn't it? He is known to rattle chairs and ribcages during their concerts as well as making plaster coming down.
If you want to know more about Home Free the won the Sing off into 2013
If you’re weren’t a fan, you will be. They are at the very top of the a cappella tier.
Yes! More Home Free!
Welcome to Home Free!!!! All are welcome to this wonderful acapella ride. There is no group out there like Home Free. Keep diving into this rabbit hole and i will sub.
Loved it! Home Free is an amazing group that can be serious ( Brothers in Arms, Everybody Walking this Land, Helpless Hoping) Goofy ( Between a Rock and a Heartache, Thank God I'm a country boy, All about that Bass, Working for a Living) , Moving ( Country Roads take Me home, How Great thou Art, in the Blood ) amazing Mashups ( Butts remix, Country Fried Pop, Women, Amen/Female) or Simply Great originals ( Land of the Free, Dive Bar Saints, Dreamer, Undivided, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, Understand) and has Had collaborations with Kenny Rogers ( Children go where I send thee) and the Oakridge Boys ( Elvira, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem)
Some of their Christmas ones include Angels we have heard on High, Grandma got Run over by a Reindeer, Cold Hard Cash for Christmas, Mary did you know?, Snow Globe, oh Holy Night & What Christmas means to me, among others
Subbing in the hope of more Home Free
You don’t have to apologize for having a great reaction to the best acapella band out there!! Subbing today!
Their cover of O holy night is absolutely gorgeous.
Boy you started out with one of Home Free's best. The beatboxer Adam Rupp arranged this masterpiece. They have a huge catalog of music and its all good. Enjoy the journey through their catalog.
The talent level in this group is unmatched. Home Free is the best out there. Thanks for the reaction
Enjoy!
If liked Tim's low notes check out "Misty Mountain" with Peter Hollens. It's awesome 👌
Home Free is BY FAR my favorite group! Thanks for the awesome reaction. I subscribed hoping to hear more Home Free reactions. 😀
OR BOTH!!!!
Then Warmest Winter, and Winter Song, and Snow Globe!
Lol‼️🤗 Awesome reaction ‼️ their song" Cold hard cash" is also a fun song and an original.
Home Free never misses!!
Caution: Home Free is highly addictive. 3 of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. And lots of live videos and, as they all have individual channel(s), lots of solo music as well. Two of them also have a side project "Sweet & Low Music Co.". Although they sing everything from goofy to gospel, they'll always sound a little 'country' 'cuz 3 of them are from southern U.S. states.
The "accent" is Austin from Tipton GA.
The absolute genius of an Adam Rupp arrangement! Beautiful!
🤣 Tim's bass note 🎵 I just sub'd for your Home Free reactions! Wait till the Home Fries find your channel we will slam you in a good way!
Thank you so much!!
Please react to Homefree's " Cold Hard Cash (for Christmas) ! It is great! And their song "Full Of Cheer"
Best Home Free reaction ever!!!!!🤠
The greatest arrangement for this song ever. They do a great cover of Mary Did You Know also.
Lol, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate you spending some time with me to watch som good music
Home Free is my favorite group! You can’t go wrong! I am a Home Fry! Enjoy the rabbit hole!
Yep...THAT!!! Welcome to Home Free, buckle up, and let's go!!!
Thanks for sharing ad love from Texas!
Thanks so much. I appreciate you hanging out with me through this video. I'm looking forward to getting into their catalogue. I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and love right back from here in Texas
Love these guys and the rabbit hole I've gone down with them. Really enjoyed your reaction....there's nothing like your first time! O Holy Night is amazing....watching their Sing Off journey will help you really learn more about them. You can't go wrong with any of their songs!
A great arrangement by Adam Rupp probably the most significant member of Home Free.
Your reactions made me smile. Thanks for discovering Home Free. You'll have lots of fun going down the rabbit hole.
Home Fee 'O Holy Night' will knock your socks off, guaranteed 🎄🎁
Great reaction!! I love the noninstrumental "instrumental" breaks that HF utilizes!!!
I like all three groups but Home Free is my favorite because they are so warm, talented and not afraid to play.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Tim Foust and Home Free!!
Enjoyed watching your reaction to this group.
Listen to their song “Snow Globe” it is an original by there bass Tim Foust
I watched this reaction a year ago and it was the best reaction ever to Home Free! I thoroughly loved it. And have waited and waited for more reactions since.
But I had to hear it again!
Awesome reaction! Thank you ^_^
