I've spent years as a Pentatnoix fan before discovering Home Free. Both groups are stunning, but wow... this is probably some of the best a Capella music I've ever heard
Same, used to be pentatonix fan like 2 years ago loving avis deep voice. That made me look for some other bass singers and I became home free fan. Later I found voiceplay and now I am in love with voiceplay. I like them both tho, home free and voiceplay
I am in my 70's and you are the best group I have ever heard. Last year my Christmas gift to family was to see your concert in Mankato, Minnesota. We all loved it and it was the last concert my husband attended before his death a month and a half later. You gave me joyful memories of that special night. God bless you!
What makes Home Free different and better than any other a cappella group is the versatility of the guys in the group. Each person is multitalented. When one person is doing a specific job…there is always another member who can step in and take a position that is needed. If Tim is singing lead…Chance will step in and do bass. A lot of guys can do specific beatboxing…not up to Adam’s standards, but very adequate and respectable. All can sing beautifully, most can take lead, etc. Not many bands, not just acapella, can state that. They are simply put…amazing!!! And I hope they are around and singing for many, many years in the future. Wishing the very best for the very best!
Plus they aren't stiff singers. They let loose, have fun, and know how to have a good time while singing. (Like they don't act super professional like another specific a Cappella group...)
I hope they always stay together as a group. They are branching out individually, which is fine, but I actually prefer them as a group. Their blend of talent and harmonies are impeccable!! Love these guys!!!

Ever heard of Inside Out? They're A Capella as well. And they're just as good as Pentatonix. I've also known them for a LOT longer. Probably because one of them is my second cousin.
Can anyone hear this song without feeling their spirits soar?!! Making a joyful sound that rises straight up to heaven! This is how it could be here! This is how it should be here! All of us singing and dancing together as we help one another. It will be, one day, with His help.
I never log in. I never make comments. But I had to for this even though I know it is years old. This arrangement is nothing short of stunning! The interplay of the harmonies is masterful, using the range and talents of each member to its best. Many of the moves were surprising but never felt gratuitous or flashy. It was fun and uplifting and just plain joyous. And then there is the entire rhythm section.... just wow. WOW WOW! Adam Rupp please do not stop doing what you are doing. To all the rest of Home Free, you get love, too, you know you do. Can't wait til we can have live performances again. Be safe and stay healthy!

@@davidpatterson6589 Respectfully gotta disagree, they sound great live but it can't match the produced sound, where they can do take after take to get the perfect one. That isn't to say you shouldn't see them live, they are absolutely phenomenal live and I highly recommend it, it just is a different sound and energy.
I've spent hours over the last year trying to find a copy of Adam Rupp's original introduction to this song which got thoughtlessly deleted to be replaced by the standard tour date boilerplate. Thanks to reactor Maggie Renee scrolling through the description during a reaction I managed to get a screenshot and recovered the introduction: On the surface, this arrangement of "Do You Hear What I Hear?" sparks the imagination with different musical themes, and brings life to several different scenes or imagery about the birth of Christ. Adam is a great arranger!!! This arrangement really uses everybody in the group extremely well, showing off at points, and disecting every part makes you really appreciate what is happening. So many great voicings and use of the "a cappella" style. You guys are beyond great. I dont think a cappella can sound cleaner than this!

I like it... But I can understand that sometimes others don't like the same things that I do. What I can't understand is KNOWING that you don't like something but still listening to it and then complaining about it.
The absolute best arrangement of this song I have ever heard. I hope you still do this one on your Christmas tours, even though Chris isn't part of it any more. This year will be my first time ever seeing you live, and I can not wait. I'd love to hear this live. So amazing.
What the... ?! A christmas song I actually can listen to? Normally, I detest - literally DETEST - christmas songs. What you made out of this is just gorgeous! Wow!! You're true music magicians! I'm not blown away, I'm starshipped away at least to the next galaxy. With this, you earn the following slogan from me (which holds true at least for me): Home Free. When speechlessness becomes a habit.
I love this arrangement so much I have replayed it many times. Knowing the history of the song, this arrangement tells a story from beginning to end and I felt it to my soul. I'm not old enough to remember all of the cold war years, but certainly it was a very dark period for the world. I'm sure this will be played every year for many years to come. Absolutely beautiful arrangement.
They sing wonderful Christmas songs, however, this is not one of them. It was written about the Cuban missle crisis and the possibility of nuclear war.
My friends dont believe me that Tim's range is capable of such low notes, and that he is really singing the bass part (3:40). he's so amazing that people dont even believe it at first.
Believe me, we would, but we live on the east coast. The closest show is still a long travel, and its in November! Ill be the first ticket when you come closer to home though!

Adam's arrangement is stellar, the layering of every voice phenomenal, Tim's growl notes make me shiver with happiness (especially the run at 2:26), Austin's floating in over the top of everything is angelic (2:07 etc), Rob's voice is so smooth (1:40 etc) and Chris's versatility from bass notes up (whole song) is incredible. Adam, the beatboxing in this one takes the cake... I hear everything you did (especially 3:35) and love it! You guys are the best and need to come to Australia
Seriously got those snuggle up for winter and being with loved ones for Christmas vibes. I love in Australia so that's saying something lol. Excellent performance of a beautiful song!!!
Early on, I noted that every vocalist is featured with a close-up as well as solos, except for one. With every member, being crucial to the sound, the music, the emotion, and the kaleidoscope of color, I am pleased and excited to see all members of this remarkable a cappella group, featured with their unique sounds, which make up the composition of this great tapestry of music.
My parents actually got to see them live last December and I'm so very jealous. I didn't know of the group till then, but now they are my favorite acapella group!!! Their voices are so clear and beautiful and they are all so very talented, especially Adam. And Tim's bass voice is just dreamy!!! I could listen to them all day, and often do!!!
This is my absolute favorite Christmas song Home Free have done. Adam did an amazing job arranging it and he's killing it all the way. @@4sston As Mikael stated, it's a thing we do to mentally "follow" a bass line in the moment. While a normal walking bass is fairly simplistic, large jumps or unique sequences take some focus and this movement helps. It has the added benefit of having "something to do" with our hands... the bane of many young acapella groups is figuring out what to do with their hands as they sing!

Saw them in concert! It was worth every penny! So wonderful, they interact with the crowd! Loved them!
Y'all know that the Home Free fans are the Home Fries, right?
Adam is a great arranger!!! This arrangement really uses everybody in the group extremely well, showing off at points, and disecting every part makes you really appreciate what is happening. So many great voicings and use of the "a cappella" style. You guys are beyond great. I dont think a cappella can sound cleaner than this!
+Glame Glumps Thanks so much!!
+Glame Glumps its all about you lol
+Glame Glumps You took the exact words from my lips! One of my favourite videos from the group ever.
Love this one best
Home Free here it is April and this song is still playing almost daily. bc the vocals in this are freaking amazing. this is onenof those songs that dont get old. Great job Adam on the arrangement. and guys, wow. the voice coming out of yall is nothing but pure freaking talent. i could go on and on, on this song. but ill stop. lol
Bravo Adam Rupp! Still the most beautiful, awe inspiring arrangement of this song!
God Needs our prayers right now. Show him we still Celebrate his life. Merry Christmas to all. 🙏
Amen
Let us bless Him and honor Him! He left His deity and humbled Himself to be born amongst the animals to se you , i and all, free. Praise, glory and honor be to our King!! We fall before Your throne Lord, to worship Only You!

Had y'all heard what I heard? LOVE THIS!!! BEAUTIFUL arrangement!! BEAUTIFUL ice sculptures!! BEAUTIFULLLLL VIDEO!!!!
Your harmony is beyond measure. Thank you for the music 🎶
clean clear voices that can sing. Best part no auto tune needed. to those who disliked this, you try and sing like these guys can
that's right....I can't wrap my head around the dislikes....
Those who dislikes were tone deaf.
So amazing.
2:18-2:34 That bass line...
Adam, your arrangement was wonderful!! All you guys did very well at your position in this song!
SO sorry for your loss! My husband lost his fraternal twin brother last November! Thank you for all you do! Peace and Blessings from Australia.
Hello how are you doing today 😊 hope you don't mind me asking you that ☺️
The bass line!!! OMG !!! This is the best acapella arrangement and rendition of this song. Can't get enough of the bass line. Playing on a loop!!
What the... ?! A christmas song I actually can listen to? Normally, I detest - literally DETEST - christmas songs. What you made out of this is just gorgeous! Wow!! You're true music magicians! I'm not blown away, I'm starshipped away at least to the next galaxy.
With this, you earn the following slogan from me (which holds true at least for me):
Home Free. When speechlessness becomes a habit.
That insane bass just blew out my car speakers. Totally worth it.
This song by theses guys NEVER gets old! Still!
Listening to HF never gets old. I just love these guys.
You’re so right!👍
Never ever!
Stunning arrangement, Adam!!! As appropriate today as 2 years ago!!
Definitely, especially after I've read the comment left by Colleen Pahl.
I love these now at Christmas time when they sing it makes my heart sing and tears come to my eyes, great work guys.😊
Y'all should come out to a show and hear him sing live!
Believe me, we would, but we live on the east coast. The closest show is still a long travel, and its in November! Ill be the first ticket when you come closer to home though!
its crazy to hear Tim live! Saw them twice and both times I was just as blown away! If you ever get the chance to see them, I promise you won't be disappointed!
@@HomeFreeGuys I absolutely LOVED getting to see you guys live in October 2021! Just incredible! The talents of all of you are just magical, & I listen to you guys every single day! I keep telling my friends & family about you, & posting links to your videos when they come out. We run out of words for just how good we believe all of you are! I can’t wait to see/hear you again live! I feel like you guys are quite underrated by the radio & TV stations, as well as the CMA. #HomeFryForLife Keep the music & videos coming, & we’ll all keep listening & watching! 💓💓💓🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🔥🔥🔥
@@nadivkaspi6211 : Are you bass also, do you have technique that you improve your bass range? Just curious.
we are blessed to have 5 such amazing talents come together and create amazing music for us.
BEST VERSION OF THIS SONG EVER!
Lol go check out pentatonix version
To that I say a 1000 AMENS
@@KingChocoo nah home free And voice play are much better groups pentatonix are decent but these two group are much better
@@freddiestudio7668 they have Grammies and paved the way for other vocal groups for a reason bru
@@KingChocoo yeah cause they get recognized more And their music's are very different while pentatonix do popular songs and home free cover oldies And country thats why they get less view and subs
I love Austin’s voice!! I don’t know why, but I just love how it sounds
This has been on my Christmas list, since it came out and play it every year 💞💞💞💞🤶🏽🤶🏽🤶🏽🤶🏽
That's an absolutely amazing version of one of my favorite Christmas carols.
Easily one of the coolest arrangements I've ever heard!!!
Love listening to Y'all!!! May THE Good LORD keep blessing Us with Y'alls wonderful gift of Music!!!
I have listened to this song nearly every day for about 4 months now and still get chills every time I hear it!
Hello Anita Harvey, how are you doing??
Seriously got those snuggle up for winter and being with loved ones for Christmas vibes. I love in Australia so that's saying something lol. Excellent performance of a beautiful song!!!
Gives Pentatonix a run for their money.
Absolutely beautiful.
They blow Pentatonix out of the water in my opinion.
@@Lwah0812i was just gonna say the same thing
@@Lwah0812Mine, too!
This group is sooooo blessed and in turn, is blessing us with their gift... Thank you Lord God for this group
Love everything about this but Adam’s vocal percussion is stunning!!!
Hello Neahkaiy, how are you doing??
This is my absolute favorite Christmas song Home Free have done. Adam did an amazing job arranging it and he's killing it all the way.
But how come it would take this long for me to notes the run Austin makes at 2:07 ? I love how their arrangements and songs contains so much that it I can find new thing to love, two years later, but honestly how did I miss that? Its my new favorite thing!
These guys are my freaking life like I can't express how much I love these guys. I've been to their concerts twice, and they are the only concert I have been to, I got my cowgirl hat signed by them, I have a jacket, a hat, a shirt and a picture from their concerts. I'm almost as obsessed with them as I am with game of thrones lol
My favorite Christmas song! So, wonderfully performed. Beautiful voices.
These gentlemen can sing!!!
Pure voices, natural talent.
Beautiful!
Major goose bumps. Best rendition of this song ever.
Definitely the very best!!! I don't see how anyone could EVER top this version!!!
@@debbiegoforth5813 have u heard pentatonix version
It's Christmas. Time to play this over and over again. Turn the volume up in the car and make it vibrate, thanks to Tim.
There is no other to listen to them
Doing that right now. My whole car is shaking from his bass!!
Home Free with Breathtaking Blend--it's no accident you were all brought together to share this amazing gift with the rest of the World. God Bless Each of You, Thanks so much, Keep Singing
This was my first experience of Home Free. Truly has been a glorious ride ❤
Hello how are you doing today 😊 hope you don't mind me asking you that ☺️
I am wonderful, thank you for asking! Hope all is well! Have a Merry Christmas🎄
This song is in my top 5 out of all of Home Free’s songs!! I listen to it all year long, and it never gets old!! Adam’s arrangement is a masterpiece!! I am going to see them in concert for the first time this Saturday, and I really, really hope they sing this one 💙💙💙💙💙♥️
Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see
Way up in the sky little lamb
Do you see what I see
A star, a star
Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear
Ringing through the sky shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear
A song, a song
High above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know
In your palace wall mighty king
Do you know what I know
A child, a child
Shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Let us…
oh, I thought it was "in your palace warm Mighty King..." someone correct me?
@@NoName-ni1mr You are correct. It must be "palace warm" to contrast with the "child shivering in the cold".
Morgan you are a blessing to us for writing the lyrics . May God bless you always
Adam Rupp--I don't know how you accomplish rhythm and beats to this but it's so beautiful!
Hello how are you doing today 😊 hope you don't mind me asking you that ☺️
This is, by far, the absolute best arrangement and performance of this song EVER. No one can convince me otherwise.
Hello Christia, how are you doing??
Breathe-taking beautiful . Hauntingly magical soul hugging sound. Enough said .
I had a feeling that it was Adam's arrangement. He pays so much attention to detail. There was so much going on in this...mind-boggling.
May GOD BE WITH EVERYONE this Christmas and beyond we need to all pray before this Christmas there's going to be a loud noise and we all will hear it so please everyone kneel on thy knees and pray that the LORD GOD SHOWS MERCY ON US ALL AMEN AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL!!! I love this rendition of this song!! You guys are AMAZING!! Love you !!!!
I didn't think any group could be better than Pentatonix but these guys are so awesome, I couldn't make myself go to bed last night listening to more and more. Both are amazing but I love them both.
This group is AMAZING!!! Tim's voice booms in my chest bc I listen with headphones on. #TeamHomeFree
Beautiful! God Bless You All. God's speed & protection everywhere His Road leads you. Your spreading His Word with this Holy Music.
Holy cow Tim! That low line....listen to what I say...... wow
+Paul Reason thank ya kindly
And if you look to your left at 2:29, you'll notice Tim Faust demonstrating how absurdly heavy "gold" is.
Thats just a weird thing most bass singers do, no idea what it means. *THAT E1 THO*
@@mikaelhelmdorf7737 all elusive closure
Yeah...I love when he does it!!! And when Austin hits the high notes...WOW!!!
Gee wonder if he's related to my husbands family, not to many Faust in the US
What an awesome rendition of this song. Absolutely wonderful!! Love it!
Hello how are you doing today 😊 hope you don't mind me asking you that ☺️
This is the one Christmas Song that I must hear every year. The arrangement is so outstanding & while others perform the song, this one just blows me away every time I hear it. Thanks Guys & Merry Christmas!
