    It's potent against fungus can test MCT oil x2 on the tongue and see difference in a day, only takes a small amount in vivo capric acid especially ,
    His mention of increased endotoxin is accurate I've seen in studies feeding coconut oil to humans raises endotoxin more than other fats, which would align with decent bacteria killing too,
    But yeah as Mike said it's easily absorbed so the majority effect should be temporary as bacteria high up gets cleared. And increased mopping up of it is an interesting idea I didn't think about that - aligns with the lack of inflammation . And as u mentioned it's a positive thing in this context
    It has some nice protective effects and easily used fuel source which can come in handy in mitochondria dysfunction , but there's a limit to safe coconut oil intake for a couple reasons. E.g detrimental effects on bone structure + increased oxidative stress at the higher end which can cause the heart to atrophy (or help restore from atrophy on the lower end)
    takes amounts more than 1 tablespoon, tho easy to hit with pure mct, ray peat seemed to have it right at around 200 calories a day,
    might post a short article on that
    1 problem I have from it is salicylate reaction (I think?) as gives me the same hot painful stiff finger & toe joints as aspirin does. So im gradually trying increasing from very small amounts day to day as has been shown can adapt to salicylates this way without reaction

    Ive been using philipeno refined coconut oil for 6 years. Its about 16$US for a gallon, which lasts for months since I dont fry much but a little fish occasionally, cheese sticks and the like. Never had any issue with it.
    Surprising that no one mentioned that a key component of Peatarian is to heal the guts from excess bacteria with the RP carrot salad. So what kind of endotoxin production do you need to worry about if you are taking the bio energetic path seriously? You shouldnt have excess bacteria to create endotoxin.... guts should be clean and gas free.
    Butter is great, and to me, better than coconut oil for flavor.... but most of the time, having a bottle of coconut oil next to the stove, makes it easy to cook. Im not changing my routine for one guy. RP was a fan of coconut oil, and Im RParian. If you follow every singular biologist/guru in the RP groups, you wouldnt be bio energetic. All the experts have their diversion, and I dont appreciate most of them. Ray was the God of this wisdom, and Im following his genius.

    There are too many studies, contradictory between them, eating and exercising is becoming too complicated due to all these studies. My grand parents were very healthy, fit, no obesity problem, and they didn't read a single study on coffee, fats, carbs etc...

      @@ghost9-9ghost Respectfully disagree. Major Established Industries fund false studies to counter studies/information that may decrease their bottom line. Big Industry/The Powers That Be will disinform to retain their foothold.

    is there evidence that it mobilizes these lipid rafts rather than through leaky gut? very declarative but didnt share any evidence why you think that

    • @JFwellness
      @JFwellness  19 днів тому +1

      Just type "coconut oil lipid rafts" into any search engine
      www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3577458/ - "During intestinal stress, ischemia, inflammation and diseases, paracellular transport occurs through the tight junction, as known as “leaky gut” [39]. Alternatively, transcellular or intracellular transport can occur, particularly in healthy individuals [40]. Transcellular endotoxin transported across a cell membrane has been shown to occur via TLR4 and soluble GPI anchored receptor CD14 in a lipid raft mediated mechanism [41,42]. Additionally, chylomicron associated LPS transport has also been suggested to play a key role in intestinal LPS transport from the intestinal epithelial cell [11,43,44]. Importantly, we observed no decrease in intestinal integrity which might enhance paracellular permeability as assessed by transepithelial resistance or FITC-dextran permeability due to treatment or short term raft destabilization (Figure 4B)."
