I've never seen a leucistic bird, but I have seen a red-throated loon here in south Alabama once.
That's a really rare bird as well! Great find!
4:55 Looks like a juvenile sea lion to me
Good call! I think you’re right!
I had a leucistic dark eyed Junco at my feeders for a couple of weeks in early March... was a first for me but hopefully not the last... 👍
That's incredible! Hope you get to see some more in the future!
Dude!!!!! That’s crazy
It was such an amazing day! I couldn't believe it!
4:50 Baby California Sea Lion
Good call! I agree!
I think sometimes what makes leucistic species so rare is also that they can easily be spotted by predators, making them easy prey
That’s a good theory! I can definitely get behind that!
I don't think I've seen a leucistic bird but we had a yellow northern cardinal in Alachua County for quite a while, which was very cool. He became quite the celebrity.
Those are really cool birds as well! Would love to see one of those!
I’ve seen a leucistic American Crow, it was actually in San Timoteo Creek foraging in 2020. Great hummingbird find!
That’s super cool! That would be such a sweet bird to see like that!
Another great video!! Really liked the leucitic Anna’s hummingbird.
Nice work, beautiful area!!
Thank you I appreciate it!
Great video! I’ve had a leucistic House finch in my backyard on and off for a few years, it’s so cool to see! I think the mammal you saw was most likely a young California Sea Lion (based on where you were and that animal seemed to have flaps on the ears where seals have none).
That's really cool it has been in your yard every once in awhile! Oh that's super cool! I don't know a ton about mammal identification, but that checks out for sure!
Amazing find with the hummingbird. Great video as always.
Thank you! I appreciate you watching!
Absolutely unreal find!!!! Super stoked to see you excited as that’s an incredible bird
Thank you!! It was such amazing luck!
We have Plovers and Little Egrets as well as Black Kites in the New Territories of Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR along with some other local birds in Hong Kong 🇭🇰.
Oh that sounds awesome! Would love to visit someday!
A bird of a lifetime! Such a cool experience! I’ve seen a leucistic red shouldered hawk before! Sadly I didn’t have my camera with me 😅
That's amazing! That would be an amazing one to see!
Yes just this year Lucistic Acorn woodpecker
Oh wow, that would be a cool one to see! Congrats!
I heard about a study from a podcast that found leucism or partial leucism may be surprisingly common in pigeons but now that I am looking for it I cant find it. So maybe 🤷♂.
I wouldn't be surprised, they have a lot of variation in their plumage. I wonder if the same thing applies to Domestic Mallards as well
I got photos of a pure white ROBIN and a mostly white RT HAWK.
That's amazing! 2 leucistic/partially leucistic birds is quite amazing luck! Great finds!
I have seen a partially leucistic Robin
That’s amazing!
Great video! Saw a couple but the best one was a compketely white white wagtail. Are you on holliday in California?
Thanks!! That’s super cool! I was but I’ve been home about two weeks now!
I never even heard of it lol
It’s a really rare genetic mutation in birds!
Good stuff young man☺️
Thanks!!
