It's 2019 and this video is still relevant, I recently purchased a CCO1 Pajero and the YR suspension kit and your video series are making this build seem effortless! Thanks Matteo!
Thank you so much Bruce! Glad to hear this! 👍😊

Gotta say mate, you make top videos. I really enjoy watching them when I'm supposed to be working...
I love the way you don't faff around talking in circles. No wasted words, and all very informative, I'd easily recommend you to any rc newbie.
Actually I'm an rc newbie, and would love to see a "Matteos rc for dummies."
Please keep it going, love the channel, thank you.
Thank you so much Benny! I really appreciate your nice feedback! Glad you like my videos and they are helpful! 😊👍
Great video. I just bought a cc01. I did install a hot racing 4 link on it. The video had lots of information . Thank you for the great video 👍👍
Thanks for your positive feedback! 😊
Matteo's RC Movies no problem. I did not know how popular CC01 we're.
What a coincidence it is that I just bought a cc01 chassis. Still learning its ways! Awesome upgrade although it adds more surface area on the bottom of the rear axle. Very nice scale chassis!
Thank you for your nice feedback!
Those YeahRacing parts are simply Beautiful!! Especially with the shaved edges!
Yes! Thanks! 👍
Daumen hoch!👍
Danke dir Maurice für den gutes Feedback! 😊
Thank you for posting. I am just about finished installing the hop up your video make it a breeze.
Thanks Brian for your good feedback! 👍🙏
Hi Matteo, another excellent video, love the yeah racing upgrades.
I treated my cc01 to the ultimate upgrades I can find. I got it from Taiwan, complete front end, including actual brake hubs and the complete rear end, axle with lockable diff, 4 link suspension, brake drums, etc everything needed to make it a roller, except shocks. It's been on 2 years now and is weathering up nicely. It was quite expensive, but really worth it.
I love the CC01S, my favourite off road vehicle, and now that they are doing proper life like rc trailing and not the ridiculous rock crawling class in the off road events, I would take my CC01 and join in now, especially with the alloy upgrades, makes the playing field a bit more even.
Well, loved the video, looking forward to seeing what you get up to with the body, and see the running video. Oooooh yeeaaaahhhh 😎 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thanks so much Mike for your splendid comment! Looks like you have one of the best CC-01's there! 👍😊 Cool!
Hi Mike, can you point me to where in Taiwan to get these upgrades. thanks!

Matteo's RC Movies

That's the nicest steering bellcrank I've seen for the CC-01. I've tried several in mine in attempt to reduce the slop, and the YR seems to be the tightest of them all. Thanks for sharing Matteo!
Yes, it,s not bad. But as I said in the video there is still slop on it. For me this is acceptable. And the bearings save from worn out the parts. Thanks Fil!
Thanks Matteo for this great video. I'm already ordered same parts from link bellow this video on me CC01 😉.
This is good! Have fun with your upgraded CC-01!
Excellent job !! Great upgrade !!
Merci Sator! 🙏
Cool video, keep up the good work. I like the alloy bearing steering set & especially the upgraded rear suspension.
Thanks! Glad you like it! 😊
This makes me want to get a second CC-01 with the stock steering setup and try this kit out. Great video!
Thanks Jon, that's a good idea!
Very nice video. Looking forward to the Pajero video. Thumbs up as always!
Thank you as always!
Very nice! I like the steering rack it has full bearings on all moving parts Unlike the GPM one with bushings I have on mine that now got a lot of slop from the 2 brass bushings that ride in the aluminum that wore out a bunch now.
GPM is garbage, bought the steering rack from them and it was worse than the original tamiya plastic ones.
That's weird mine was good took a lot of slop out but over the years got a lot of slop because they did not use bearings in the lower rack.
Had the same results with the GPM as Manalo went back to stock. May look into YR solution. Hopefully they sell just the steering parts.
Thanks Steve! 👍😊
That's true. GPM had a lot of problems with bad manufactured parts.
Very nice video!
Makes me want to go back and play with my CC01 again :-)
Thanks! That's good! 👍
Another great video. I don't even have a CC-01 yet but you make the video interesting to watch.
Thanks! Glad you liked it! 👍
Very informative Matteo !! I've just orderd upgrade !!
Nice! Have fun with yours! 😊

Awesome video, just like all of your cc01 videos. This is tempting me to get a yeah racing hop up kit for my Isuzu Mu cc01!
Thanks! Glad it wads helpfull!
Excellent video. Well filmed and informative
Thanks you! 👍😊
Great video. I'm looking to get a CC01 Bronco. I like these upgrades, I'd have them in silver. Also with the metal axles too. Look better, will be stronger and no so easily scratched and marked and so easier to clean.
Thanks Steve! Nice, I love the Bronco too! Have fun with your RC's! 👍👍😊😊
You always make great vids! good info.
Thanks David! Glad it was helpful! 😊
woaw , great job , i hoppe to see it in action !

Interesting upgrades, Matteo. I bought only the steering upgrade for my CC01 to give a little bit tighter precision.

Thanks matteo, for a norther great instruction video. I have two cc01 chassis who can juse these upgrates.
Thanks for your good feedback! 😊
cool
Thanks rcMart! 👍
Thanks for this video
Thanks for your good feedback!
I might have to get a new tub and this upgrade. Previous owner chopped up the front to mount a forward facing servo...
That's a good idea!
Looks great. The rear end has made a huge difference also with your barrel shocks . The extra flex with the centre boggie would help a lot. I'm guessing the adjustments are for long and short CC01 chassis's? AX30860 AX30860
Thanks Scott! Yes, the adjustments are for this. But also have to be adjusted the length of the links (the shorter) for that.
redirected here after watching SBG video of tamiya bronco.
Fantastico!
Thanks!
Very nice !!!
Thanks!
Better than Integy ever will be parts wise.
I love your upgrade/conversion videos. I did an upgrade 1-2 years ago on my Amarok, following your video...think you used GPM parts then? You even had to use your dremel on same place for the steering links, and so did i... These once from Yeah Racing has a better "look" i think...looking forward to the "body video"...you`re great Matteo..keep them vids coming..
Thanks Jan Eric! Always a pleasure to hear from you. You are a true follower and suporter of my channel!
Great video on this conversion kit, what motor are you using on your cc-01.
Thanks! It's the Hackmoto 35 turns from Yeahracing
Very good Matteo, I have been searching for this upgrade for a few weeks, can't find one anywhere.
Thanks Darren. RC Mart have it. Link in the video description.
Thanks
hoi Matteo, super eine gute Anleitung zu Montage¨
Danke O! 👍
do the aluminium parts weigh more than the plastic stock ones?
i like these videos now i want a cco1 !!
No, not much more weight.
have you ever put a gear reduction on a CC-01 chassis? , they seem to be geared too high for crawling, I installed a hpi 7 to 1 gear reduction unit and its too low
No, never installed these reduction gears. I manage the problem with the high gearing with use of motors with many turns. On my Pajero I've installed a 45 turn motor and it works perfect, even for slow crawling.
Matteo, what is your opinion on how the front suspension and steering compares to the GPM you installed on one of your other cars? Better than the GPM?
The quality of the parts is better on the Yeah Racing parts. GPM needs a bit of modifications to fit perfect. Not so big difference when both are correct installed.
Nice Video
Thanks Pio!
very nice
Thanks! 😊
Hi Matteo, thanks for this video. Will the cc01 work better than an mst cmx with this modification?
No, not better. The CMX is still better because of its 4-link suspension in front.
Nice conversion. Does fitting bearing races make the chassis less reliable if wading, are plastic bushes better for wading/water?
Basically yes, but it exists also sealed bearings and with good maintenance the ball bearings are also no problem.
Because ball bearings have so much advantages!
Hi Matteo thanks. I used to use bearing races in my off road race cars, and they really are great. But I'd never used them for wading in a rock crawler or similar. Thanks for the help and advice, much appreciated.
Nice! Hi buddy.
Hey, it looks like this gives you a bit more front travel, while also maintaining camber better? Great vid, thank you very much!
Thanks Justin! Yes it is like this, camber changes also. 👍
Matteo, how does this Yeah Racing kit compare to the Tamiya CC-01 Stroke Extension Link (Tamiya Part No. 54519) you used in one of your videos? Which one works better for the rear?
Best way is to install both! It works well together! 👍
Matteo thank you for your answer.
How is the steering compared to the GPM? Any fitment issues or slop? The GPM one is garbage and I am thinking of using the YeahRacing set up instead but I'm afraid the quality might be just as bad. Wish Tamiya had a hop up for this.
The quality of the parts is better as the GPM. There is still a bit slop on it (I think because of too much links in this steering setup) but the bearings helps a lot.
Do you recommend the 4 link rear end or the RC Stroke Extension links from Tamiya themselves?
The Stroke extension gives much more articulation. But you can combine the two, four link suspension plus stroke extension.
Very nice, I ordered one two days ago, but is it compatible with the arm extension kit by Tamiya? I hope so. Anyway very nice tutorial as usual you're the best
Thanks Fil. Yes, I think it should work with the extensions without problems. 👍
Hi Mateo, nice video, one question, would you recomend me a dealer where I can get that Yeah Racing conversion kit?, here in Mexico have no dealer.
You can find the link in the video description. RC mart delivers worldwide.
Thank You very much Mateo
Matteo. Have you ever tested any of Traxxa's Slash trophy trucks? You know them? In such case, what do you think of them? I am considering buying a 2WD Slash.
Yes, I know them but never own one by myself. But I think these are great RC cars. But I would go more with the 4x4 Slash.
Aha, thanks. Well, I just bought Axial's Trophy Truck, the kit one, not the RTR. I hope to build it this month.
nice!
Thank you! 🙏😊
Could you use this conversion kit along with the stroke extension?
I think yes.
Sorry to hassle you mate, but would these bits be compatible with the g6-01? Have you already, or will you be doing a similar video for a konghead? Thank you again.
This parts are not compatible with G6-01. Maybe Yeahracing release somthing similar for the G6 chassis in the future.
And, have you also tried Tamiya's "TGS" series glow-engine cars? Would you please give me your opinion on them?
No, never. At this time I think there is no need for this glow engines. These are difficult to adjust, not easy to handle and dirty. Brushless motors with lipo batteries have more power and are much easier and clean as well.
And Tamiya TGS is an very old platform, I think they are not longer in production, so the spare parts availability will be difficult.
I see. Thanks. I was a little curious about the TGS platform. But as you say today electric power is equal or better. Also the fuel engines sound too much, can't drive them late at night around populated areas.
Matteo the Great!
Thanks!
mantap
Excellent video but do you know where to get that kit in silver or black??
Thanks! Unfortunately these are only available in blue (at the moment)
@@Matteomeier probably I can find some things somewhere else and go only with the rear links ;)
Are you going to put the essentials kit on the longheroni conversion? Im building the longheroni kit kit now after seeing your video.
No, I don't think so. I have to test this longehroni kit first. It seems as it have some issues...
I just removed all my yeah racing stuff from the longheroni, it seems better now with the cc01 equipment. But I need to extend the rear to fit my landfreeder body.
Matteo - what thread lock do you use? Thanks.
Yes, but use medium strength, this is possible to loosen again. It exist very strong ones, with this it's not possible to loosen the screws again. And this is not good.
Wow this totally changes the CC01 chassis for me. I need one now. Does anyone know of any custom bodies for this chassis?
Tamiya released a lot of bodies for the CC-01 chassis. If you like you can customize it:
ua-cam.com/video/BQkurABsPtw/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/video/8pqYao8IvUo/v-deo.html
Currently modifying a CC01 land freeder with a Blackfoot XTREME body. Matteo’s videos helping instruct and inspiring the build. I’ll post a video when it’s finished! 👍
From where i can buy this
Qúa hay Em ơi
the backlash is all from the steering servo link...if you used a screw in type instead of a ball and cup it would be much better
My prescious.
👍😊
Let it run
Yes, already done: ua-cam.com/video/_4efEEEJmus/v-deo.html
The Hot Racing steering upgrade is much better. A little superglue will secure the Hot Racing steering bearings so there is no backlash at all.
Ok, I don't know this Hot Racing upgrade.
Did you have to shorten the drive shaft or buy a new one? I bought the same Aluminum Essential Conversion Kit as you but it don't fit the same.My drive shaft seems to be longer. If you did buy another driveshaft can you please put up the link for it.
But after all the wheelbase should be the same as before, right? If so the drive shaft should be the same also... I have nothing to shorten on mine.
@@Matteomeier The CC-01 is available in three wheelbases.I bought the Volkswagen Amarok.www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/74779-cc-01-wheelbase-which-bodies-have-what-wheelbase/
Yes I know. For the long wheelbase you need another drive shaft as for the short and medium. But the yeah racing upgrades does not change the wheelbase. Principally the wheelbase should be the same as before the upgrade.
Hello. So i have finished my build.Take a look at my facebook page.(Michael Marcel Godin)
Hello, I want to know what model your damper thanks.
These are Aluminum Dampers for Tamiya CC-01. www.rcmart.com/tamiya-54541-cc01-aluminum-damper-p-37819.html?cPath=389_390
Класс!!!))
Спасибо! 👍😊
Great video matteo do you no the price of the kit
Link in the video description. Its about 90$
Couldn’t you just installed the steering links on the other side of the steering rack. And on top of the steering knuckles for clearance?
No, there is no space on the other side of the steering rack...
