Alright People, I have designed a steering upgrade for the CC01 that will make your tiny trucks soooo much more fun to drive. It corrects the poor geometry that Tamiya screwed up on or simply did not think to hard about when designing this truck. In order to use this upgrade you must have a CC01 bell crank system upgrade from GPM, Yeah racing, 3Racing or other that I may not know about as long as they have a similar setup as the GPM ones. The blue parts in the video are the GPM Steering upgrade. The Silver extensions are theLEDwheel's upgrade. Please contact me on facebook for orders or more info.

Just ordered your little steering elbow jobbies and WAY overpaid for Tamiya shafts from Schlong Kong and now I just need to salvage some threaded rod and ballends. You're a lifesaver, dude. I built and love my CC01 FJ Cruiser but the turning circle is unforgivable. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I hope someone gives you a hella sweet high five soon because you rule, buddy

Except you have the means to make things happen. THIS is a big deal - as it doesn't hack up the Front of the Truck...

Should have used Hot Racing or Yeah Racing instead because that GPM steering set is so crappy.

Upgrade to what? its steering is in its best setup but you can cet better parts like GPM or Yeah Racing.

Hello Steph, first of all, thx for this item. Looks nice, but i also have a question about it: do you need the CVD's or does this also work with the standard wheel axels from Tamiya?

The stock drive shafts (dognones) will come out. You must use the Tamiya swingshafts specifically for best results.

@@TheLEDwheel Many people seem to have trouble with the GPM setup. This video @11:57 shows what I was asking about. ua-cam.com/video/VaGzXX3xLAk/v-deo.html
If you are careful with assembly you should not have any problems. I never stripped any GPM sets but understand where others can. Some medium loctite will help too.
@@TheLEDwheel Maybe the metallurgy and fit are better in some sets. I've ordered GPM everything from the plate to the knuckles. Still have reservations about the steering assembly though. Thanks again for all the insight on how to get the CC01 to perform the way it should.

The website says these wont work with the yeah racing system, is that true? what doesn't work and could i potentially modify it myself to make it work?
The hole distance is not the same. However, I have been told by customers and on the CC01 Facebook page they it can be fitted.
