That is just ace fiat panda are just cool awesome video thanks Patrick
Thank you Patrick!
Love the Fiat Panda, particularly the 4x4! You had to pull-up and rotate a handle near the handbrake to engage it when the car was stationary, but it worked. Great for the odd deluge of snow, mud or use at the beach, where the “roads” were potholed, mud nightmares. ‘‘Twas the car that kept Italy mobile after they retired the original Fiat 500.
That body is huge for a Panda, it must be almost 1/8th scale 😬
I can imagine! It sure looks giant at this scale
I wonder if Tamiya is ever going to get with the times. Rereleases are great but as Harley Davidson discovered nostalgia will only go so far....
Even with the new CC02 coming out, i still dont think they are ever getting with the times.
I was interested in CC01 but in the end I bought an MST CMX crawler thanks to your comment on cc01. I was planing to buy an tamiya sand scorcher body to fit on the cmx chassis, I see lots of Chinese RC fans to it and the final look is very great.
I am glad to hear that. I have a lot of people I know with the CMX and it is awesome.
Awesome! Excited for the next video
Me too! I have it almost done
Awesome as usual.
Thanks Trey!
Nice video. I see that mp bluestreak and that xtransbots skids! 👍
Good eye! I love those things.
I own the Fiat Panda, great car!
Oh great! I would love one!
@@AMPROEngineering The Panda is a great car, absolutelly essential, fast, smart, cheap, without useless things, very strong, it never breaks, you can repair it with few money, without dedicated tools. I replaced the head seal a couple of years ago, I did the work in the street, without a torque wrench. Then I replaced the whole radiator with a new one, I spent 30 € for the radiator, some € for the gasket, 30 € for the flattening of the head, I didn't replaced the head bolts. The car had also one broken piston and a badly scratched cylinder (250.000 km), no problem, the engine restarted without problems and made other thousands of kilometers. Now I replaced the engine with a slightly used one (30.000 km), I made the job by myself, I spent 150 € for the whole engine, 900 cc, 160 km/h. I use the liquified petroleum gas (GPL) instead of normal gasoline (but the car could simply manage the denaturated alcool), with 12 € I run for 250 kms.
The best car ever made, for this reason the Germany pushed on the European Commission to stop its production.
The 4x4 model is a real off road beast and goes in the mud better than many other off road vehicles.
Panda, a must have.
There is a CC-02 in the pipeline! My guess is that they gatherd enough parts to make one ;) Probably with portals from the G6, since they're going with the G class body. I don't think it has portas from the factory but there is versions with such axles.
I must say I LOVE the CC-01 though. Perfect scale. What most people call scale trucks is really half way to a monster truck. Not much scale about them at all really. And the CC-01 has indipendent front suspension! As most SUV's and modern trucks actually have. The JD Models Hero did a sleaker front IFS - the CC-01 IS bulky. But man it's fun to drive.
What's more aweful is the TRAIL Monster Beetle... My god... That's a long shot!
I saw that. We will see what they do. I like the CC01 for what it is but am confused as to why Tamiya has kept it around as long as they have. I run the Trailfinder 2 and Traxxas TRX4 and I have to say that they are both marvels but this chassis has its place as a trail rig.
sound is a little quiet compaired to recent video's. I have serveral CC-01 Chassis and find them very adaptable. you can cut the should of front swing arms to allow for more suspension travel and use an old servo block mount to drop the stanadard shock down a bit. also they work great with Tamiya barrel springs.
Thanks for the info Simon. I have done a bit to it and it is definatly better.
I asked you quite a few years ago about the CC01 chassis, your response was that you were not aware of it, I personally like the CC01 chassis’s they are not crawlers but the layout is very popular with RC these days, which is quite funny when you understand how long the CC01 has been in production.
Yeah it is an interesting chassis and seems to work well as a trail truck since I have finished the Panda.
Nice video fun to watch 😊👍
Glad you liked it
I got the cc01 for my first kit, it was good to get into the hobby but now I’ve got 2 trx 4s and I can say that I wish I never got it 😂 it is such a bad performer, especially the steering
I hear that!
Yeah, the steering is just bad. No matter the upgrade, it is never solid. However, I find the Hot Racing steering linkage upgrade to be the best for that bad situation.
😁Ha ha this is like my most fun chassis to take trailing in the mountain I love it!! Did you see they are making a new CC-02 wonder what it will be like? Nice video!
I am hoping I start to like it. I loved it when it came out but I think what my real problem with it is is that Tamiya still thinks it should be on sale. Yeah I saw that...I don't have much hope...
@@AMPROEngineering I hope if they kind of leave the new cc02 chassis almost like the cc01 I hope they have it geared lower now and make the front suspension have a bit more travel and maybe improve the crappy steering and make it better..... but with tamiya you know they may just make parts different colors or add on the portal ends or something silly!
My sediments exactly.
With a 80T motor, the CC01 is finally possible to trail drive.
I thought about an 80t but everyone told me it barely moves with that. How do you like it?
Looks very nice. I like how you makes these modifications look so easy 🙂 Uhh, and speaking of the CC-01 ... so what do you think about the news about a CC-02? I haven’t seen any new updates, just the announcement. Nevertheless, it’s gonna be interesting. I really hope it’s an all new design. And I hope they have worked secretly on it for several years - and it’s not just a quick CC-01 ‘spin-off’.
I was going to ask the same thing, if he had seen the new CC-02 announcement. I fear though from the silhouette that it's just going to be a few minor updates and maybe their new portals from the G6-01 TR added on.
DeadnCold Uhh, I haven’t even seen the silhouette. Would love to see that. Well, it got to be a whole new chassis since they named it the CC-02. It will be interesting. Sometimes there’s a huge difference, like the DF or DT series, sometimes small, like the TT series. I don’t expect they’ve made a crawler (then it would probably have been named the CR-02) but a more capable modern trail truck/cross country chassis at least.
DeadnCold Ahh, you mean the rcMart picture? Think that silhouette is not officially from Tamiya, but just a picture generated from the CC-01 by rcMart.
@@NordicRC We can hope that's the case. It would be cool to get a proper solid front axle. Though I do suspect it will get the portals, if not right away, then on a special edition next year.
Glad you like it! Yeah I am not a fan of the CC02 at all. At least the CC01 was/is unique!
My cc01 has the problem that there is horizontal play in the mount of the ballbearings that hold the front dif, does yours have that as well and did you modify that ?
Mine looked good there fortunately but man, that rear end was a mess.
This is so cool. I remember that car when growing up, although there were more Fiat Unos here than Pandas.
But speaking of crawling and Tamiya, isn't the CR-01 their crawling chassis ?
Oh I can imagine the Uno was more popular. I like those also. Yes, this would be the trail truck and that would be the crawler. Thanks!
where can i get the STL for the front steering servo tray? I want to move as much weight as possible towards the front
There is no STL for that available at this time. The part is on shapeways. shpws.me/SVCR
You know, the CC-01 is a great base for small, scale builds and quite cheap to come by as well. So for that reason, I don't think Tamiya should get rid of it, as it still has it's own special place for RCers. But that doesn't mean they should keep it as their main trail vehicle like they do now because in that regard, it sucks. Like really bad. They need something new like a Bruiser 2.0 or something, anything. I'd even accept a banana with "Tamiya" stamped into the side of it at this point.
FordFan01 They have just announced a CC-02 🙃
@@NordicRC They did?
@@FordFan01 yeah, check it on tamiyablog.com
hahah! Well put
You know that a cc02 coming out. And there is a lot of hop ups for cc01 to get more articulation from the rear.
I do. I posted that a couple weeks ago but I am not holding out much hope. I saw that about the rear and ordered something this morning!
cc02 has been announced , nice to hear that. but why Tamiya just doesn't update the CR series to compete in the scale crawler market ?
This is what I have been asking myself for years.
Hi there, do you have these wheels and adapter plates for the rear links for sale, I’ll be needing them soon. And the steering servo plate. And front and rear body mounts. lol
I do but they dont make the body anymore. You can email me if you happen to have gotten one. amproengineering@gmail.com
instant 1/8 scale.... if not 1/7, oh well, it'll be really cool!
Yeah, its huge!
Could you please make a Buyers Guide for the team associated rc10?
Actually I was thinking about that!
@@AMPROEngineering Nice!
Seen the other day on Harley Designs scale news video that apperently Tamiya have announced a CC02 is on the way!😱
Yeah I saw that...I am curious to see their plan...
I forget to ask did you watch RC driver video on the mini lunch box? And what you think of it?
Yeah I did. I...well...if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all...lol!
There are a lot of new tfr chassis coming out from Tamiya.
TFR?
Tamiya factory racing chassis the 419x-419xr. Please look at them
The CC01 was also my least favourite... But I finally cracked the code and found the upgrade that turned my CC01 into a fun rig to drive! ua-cam.com/video/7bgI7IhgKnk/v-deo.html
Well this is fantastic!
