Let's be real, it's all of the gacha community. The amount of drama, tracing, problematic creators, children e-dating, offing themselves, even CHILD PREDATORS is insane, and it's mostly in the gacha community. This community is horribly toxic, and is one of the reasons I've distanced myself from it. It's not just this side of the gacha community, it's all of it.

There are going to be bad apples, and there will be good ones, usually the bad ones are more vocal and "popular" since drama is always popular. So ofcourse the most juicy and viral thing is going to be the most vocal part of a community

As a former Gacha enjoyer, I watched this entire community go up in flames. I honestly feel like it was transformed into a hellscape by parents simply giving small children a phone with unlimited internet access. It used to actually be a relatively safe and kind community, but then more people did weird shit. That's why I personally left the community. Though I have pondered the thought of returning to the ashes of what was the good piece of this community and looking at it one last time. All things aside, great video. Sad to see the people who criticized the bad parts go onto other endeavors tbh.
If it makes you feel better, as someone who has been in more fandoms than I can count the ‘fandom catches into chaos flames and then burns like a wildfire either chasing off or ki//ing everyone before the OG fans tentatively step back after the sparks have died down and only ashes remain’ is pretty common. The ashes will stain forever but the fires don’t stay forever ^^
I remember actually liking some Gacha videos when I was younger, I then kinda stopped watching them for a while and now its just weird. Im sure that some gacha content is still good but I wouldnt risk watching it

As a part of the gacha community we don't claim the cringe and heat gacha people and apologize for the things they have done we are trying our best to make things better back in 2018 or 17 we ignored them but it's getting worse especially over the years and we well make sure this problem is under control soon
2:17 I think the worst part of this is that I had a friend in middle school who was OBSESSED with communism (to the point where she was suspended for trying to make a 'socialism club' that talked about how stalin wasn't that bad actually) and in her unused promo posters she used gacha life to add little characters. I've only used gacha life for making characters, and since it has such a wide variety of options I'd probably use it again just to play around with color pallets
As a former Gacha life kid, here is my understanding of the phases one goes through;
1- “oooooo cool characters teehee”
2- watching videos online and slowly falling down the rabbit hole
3- the cringe phase
4- realize the cringe, and either accept or ignore it
5- acknowledge the cringe but continue anyways because why not
6- leave and never look back
Occasionally there’s a secret 7th phase I like to call…
Re download the game years later just to make characters and never indulge in the community or anything online

I had one interaction with the gacha community and it was this decent 14 part love story that reminded me a lot of Cinderella 3 and the final resolution revolved around the eye shapes of the main character and her evil sister (who was disguised as the main character) and I always thought it was a creative use of the limits of the gacha templates
