@Trassel242 - Oh, Max's winter fur is super soft! It's long and thick and I absolutely love running my fingers through it. Sometimes I even put my face against him. So soft is the reason they make fur coats out of the Canada Lynx. 😢
Interesting that you should mention Max's tail shedding. A couple of weeks back, I went down to the zoo in Stoneham, MA to test out my new 100-400mm Nikon Zoom on Patty, the zoo's 12 year-old, 25 lb. Canada Lynx. She has a perhaps a little more reddish brown fur than Max does, but she's still quite a fluff-ball. When she was walking around her enclosure, I noticed that her little tail looked pretty ratty and I was wondering if the shedding process had started, even though it was still January. So, it looks like the tail is the first thing to go. Love the shots you provided of Max's feet next to your hand. This cat's paws are enormous! Wish I could attach a photo of Patty. Even shooting through the wire, I was able to get some pretty nice images of her chilling in her den.

But this is the way i looked at it once i turn 18 or 19, She was out of this hell we all are living in! no more suffering, No more pains And no more torment in her life!
