FYI, the drummer, the beardless one of the trio, his last name is Beard. This band has been going at it forever, they started out in Country music, slid into the Rock-a-billy drivers seat(kept the Fancy old school Country suits style they still wear today), wowed the music world and built a huge multi-generational fan base, that are all heart-broken today with the passing of Dusty Hill.
As the Rightous Brothers wrote in a song in tribute to Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, and Jim Morrison who all left us in quick order in 1969, "Heaven's got one hell of a band". Today with all the greats we've lost since and prior to 69, just imagine Open Mike Night Jam Sessions on Cloud 9.

I love how Dusty and Billy always dressed the same and had matching instruments; the number of matching pairs of bass/guitar they must have is crazy, and ALL of them unique, cool, fun & interesting designs, mostly custom-made for them... And their live shows were something else; these guys ALWAYS brought the heat and blew the roof off... Damn. Another great band from The Golden Era of Rock (Oct. 5, 1962 - Apr. 5, 1994) is no more... A lot of range. In their early years they were even more raw, and deep in the blues "Waiting for the Bus/Jesus just left Chicago." will give you that "OHH!" face I guarantee! "LaGrange" for a rocker tune, and their most popular early song. 52 years - a HUGE catalog to draw from.

I was completely surprised to hear that he passed. They always gave me the impression, or feeling that they were almost one entity, a “unit”; or super highly connected-almost like conjoined twins. Oddly though, that specific feeling wasn’t a real thought before Dusty passed-I always just felt “something “. Today I realized that this “feeling “ could be put into words. Legendary men. RIP
