- This ATV Log Hauler effortlessly moves logs around. Join us as we fabricate The Log Hauler from start to finish and then take it out to the woodlot to move around some logs with the quad. With the quad and this small log hauler trailer we are able to get through tight spaces and narrow bush to retrieve logs that we would not be able to with larger machinery. I hope this video will show you how to build an ATV Log Hauler similar to the one we build here in this video.
Welcome to Traplines and Inlines, this channel focuses on my dog and I on our remote Off the Grid Homestead in Northern Canada. I make videos on off grid homesteading and building, trapping, chickens, mechanical projects, and hunting and fishing.
I went offgrid and started building my cabin over two years ago, while I was still in highschool. Since then I have built many things at the homestead and have had the priviledge of learning many things along the way.
The homestead is designed to be relatively low maintenance and with extremely minimal expenses. All of my electricity comes from solar power, heat from woodstoves, and I haul all my water so I dont have any monthly costs associated with my homestead.
I love the lifestyle, especially because it gives me the absolute freedom to do whatever I please. I plan on continuing to tackle awesome projects and work at building and fixing many more things, and I cant wait to share them with you on the channel.
Thanks for watching!

this kid must have had a good dad or grandpa or something, because he is way to skilled for his age. Not to many people his age even attempt or are interested in the lifestyle he is promoting and living, good on ya
An hour long Traplines and Inlines video??? *DEADLY*
Man that thing turned out awesome! Going to be a huge help
What an impressive young man you are! My wife and I are DEADLY FANS! ✊🏼
Nice job. You did well. Be proud. Remember just do it your way and don’t worry about the rest of the world.
Looks good man i would cap the ends of your tube to keep junk out of them
To be so young, you have a good head on your shoulders. You are very impressive.
Next time like when you were putting on your hitch coupler to the tongue and you have two bolts… run one from the right and one from the left. That way you have the nuts applying pressure from opposite sides. Outstanding fabrication and the skidded will serve you well for years!
Thank you Kyle 👊 always great to see you, appreciate you, stay safe and take care my friend 🙏 Nice work 👍
Just an idea for you....get a plastic barrel to put over the end of the log to keep it clean when you're dragging it out of the bush. Cheaper than having to buy or build anything else for hauling the logs out of the bush.
Kid, you are a badass! Your balls out can-do attitude is awesome! Just do a little research, pull out a pencil & paper and sketch out a plan and get to work! Keep on doin' what you're doin'. You're puttin' the "Can" in Canada!
Impressive all around but especially for putting the old trig skills to use. Good for you.
She's deadly mint bud!
I watch you and then I watch a family living off grid in AZ who are using mud filled tubes to construct their buildings. Hard to know which I enjoy more. Both are so interesting.
You’re a damn fine fabricator! You know how to build stuff. Your good with your hands, your mind is clear to understand what you need to do, like “I could tell you but I’ll just show you”. Great demonstration! You’re a great problem solver! Cutting that round hole for the axel, then discovering you needed more offset. You made the transition on the fly like a champion! Then you’re right back on track! You’re exactly the kind of man that every fabrication shop has always looked for! If you’re ever looking for that kind of work, just show them this build and you’ll be hired on the spot! Anyway, I just wanted to say that you did a great job on this project! Best wishes
Deadly young man! Been a welder fabricator for over 30 years you did a awesome job! Nice to see you take on projects and complete them so professionally. Keep up the great work!
Yeah I was impressed that he was actually using alot of math and trigonometry. Alot of kids forget that stuff, those equations come in handy all the time when I'm fabricating and cut down on wasting material.
Enjoyed the video young man.keep up the good work . I've been welding for 65 years and let me give you some advice be careful welding on that wood floor
One of your best videos. Keeping the log clean when skidding is only important when they are to be sawn (as you know, dirt & grit will quickly cause blade & saw problems). If they are to be peeled, then it shouldn't matter. I use a Timber Tuff log skate, since my logs always go to the bandsaw mill and I have silty/sandy topsoil. 'Love watching your progress, cheers. FJB & trudope.
I really want to see the unedited version of getting it out the door. The suspense was building up then you edited it right out. Lol. Nice job!
Wow! Great job! Very impressed!
Very good welding. 👍
What a good design, That shit turned out amazing. The Ram charger rims/tires turned out to be the actual size needed to run properly. Good work!
Good to see ya back bud!
Fantastic job! Every video, you simply amaze me with your knowledge and intuition. I also am a huge fan of your “no Bullschitt” attitude and presentation. Looking back on all of your videos from the beginning, you are an inspiration to young people all over the world!
Looking forward to more of your videos and can’t wait for your eventual “log cabin” build. ✌🏼
Nice! The beauty of quality tools is that you can always sell them if you need.
Good to see ya again. And great video
Got to admit, I was praying that the floor wouldn’t catch fire. Nice build my northern friend.
Wow man most kids you're age are in there parents basement playing video games the world need more young men like this good Job my friend

Great design and execution
Awesome job!!!!!!
You are so talented? Great video! Luv the things you do. Keep it up. We need the doggie.
Nice video. Now I need one for my logs.
I don't know that tongs would be much of an improvement over what you already have. You have a dandy little log skidder there. I wouldnt even worry about back wheels . Your logs seem to trail well enough behind you. It amazes me how you get an idea and bingo, it's done and your using it. Very nice to see you again. Good video. Pax.
Love the video I always wanted to build one but now I’m to old lol beautiful job ole boy cheers
You did a great job fabricating, welding it up, explaining and making the video! Bravo! I think I'm going to have to make me one of these.........
Very impressive.

Deadly. Just deadly ! What a GREAT video. thank you Sir, your building skills are outstanding, a delight to watch. This made my day, thank you !
Great fab work man. Great video
Great job. Keep the logs off the ground they get rotty fast. In the spring the bark peels fast, if you wait the bark sets to the log.🇺🇲
Really smart idea, thanks for sharing.
Great job !!!
Nice work

Awesome Video. They just don't come often enough. Might get a cheap ATV winch and mount it just a thought LMAO. Have a wonderful week. God Bless.
Nice work buddy, you have a great skill set and will never be unemployed if you decide to go that route.
Breathes metal dust; belches molten gas! 😆👌
Once again, it's marvelous how you manage & build anything you set your mind to do. Enjoy creating needed things from scratch too, it's a lot of fun, but would never have the nerve to tackle a difficult project like this. It's a beautiful piece of equipment! :)
Shit yeah! That's on heck of a build!!! Great Job!!
This is bad ass. Well done!
Great video! One of your best
Excellent
Great video thanks again

Good Job, well done!
Well Done!!!
Nice work bud 👍
Nice build, you're a pretty handy dude
Hey friend,
Gotta say: Thank you for the videos! You are one of my favourite UA-camrs!
I meant to leave this comment before but... well here it is:
I recently watched the video where you purchased a welder and I watched you lay down a few beads. I haven't done any welding since grade 7 but I was watching a video of a another guy that has a channel where he does cool stuff. He was teaching a few welding tips. His channel is AVE if you want to check it out. Anyways, his first tip was to keep your head back out of the smoke being generated from the welding. I saw you leaning right over and getting a look in there and I know that is exactly what I did when I learned to weld on my buddies horse ranch, but those fumes are super bad for you. Known to cause cancer in all the States, not just California. Take it if you will, if you're thinking "f-off bud" thats fine, I don't need to hear about it, just wanted to let you know. ... If only because I want to see more of your videos
PS: I posted this on your video that shows your new welder and new (to you) Gen. I just figured that I took the time to write it, I ought to take the time to increase the likelihood that you read it
Sending peace and love your way young man. Looking forward to seeing some notching and fitting. I know you will do a bang up job!!
You don't actually need a crank. You disconnect the trailer and tip it way up until the top of you arch touches the log. Fasten it close, then pull the trailer down to rehitch it. We had a similar rig that we fastened in the middle of a log that way. Done right, just one person can balance and move it around
That little welder performed better than I would of expected. That trailer turned out great and looks plenty strong for skidding.
Great job
Dude that came out really well! It looks & works great. It'd be cool with some mud flaps on the bars in front of the tires & if you paint the Rims black or a nice silver as well! Super cool build
Fuck me running.......Kid that is really really impressive work !!!!
weather looks beautiful up yonder !!!!
Hey buddy great video. Something you may consider using your drill instead of the crank handle to raise and lower logs. Provided the chuck will accept the treaded bolt were the handle connects. Also good hole saws will cut through steel and give you the right sized hole your looking for. Just couple tips. Cool build. As always I’m impressed with your ingenuity and drive. Bravo friend. Great video. Hope cougar is doing well. 👍👍
Great job. Careful with the spinning winch handle. Easy way to bust a finger.
DONT FORGET THEM SAFETY GLASSES, I'VE HAD METAL AND GRINDER DUSTIN MINE TWICE, OUR LUCK RUNS OUT SOONER OR LATER , GIVE IT HELL, LOVE THE CHANNEL, GOOD LUCK
That little welder burns really hot and welds good. I have the same and other more expensive welders. This is my go to welder
