- This truck was a good deal, but I have work to do to fix it up. Hopefully we end up with a pretty nice truck because we are going to fix every little problem it has mechanically and its already in very nice physical shape. Its getting hard to find these trucks and they are getting very expensive so hopefully we are able to get into one for less after I put all the work in!

Welcome to Traplines and Inlines
I have the pleasure of sharing my passions for the wilderness, building, fixing and all other things interesting with my great group of UA-cam friends.
I have lived offgrid in the bush for over 3 years, but now I am moving to the next chapter in my life and am building a big log home as my next place to live. It is going to be an incredible journey building my own home. I am using logs I harvested myself and plan to do most of the work by myself. This project will be the main focus of my channel, with many other adventures along the way im sure!
Thank you for watching - Авто та транспорт
You forgot the part where ya pull the engine and throw the rest away hahahah. Will all due respect! I kid I kid
He doesn't have any Sasketchawan chrome showing on the outside either....
Dude you're still killing it! Never get bored of your videos and ambition. Most of your viewers including myself are likely twice your age or more, and could learn a lot from you. Stay DEADLY!
Sweet truck man! You should consider oil spraying it ASAP to keep it clean and rust free
This young man gives me hope for the future. Give me a nation with plenty of em and our problems will be few and far between.
Man it’s so good to see a young man working on his own projects!!!! Damn fine job and she’s a thing of beauty.
It's great to see you back on the road in your own truck again. That was a long haul for you bud, and you've sure earned it. Your wrenching skills and your resourcefulness are exceptional. I've been fixing my own vehicles for at least 30 years, and I have no doubt that you're already better than I am. Love seeing you driving around with a huge grin on your face. If you have to drive that truck in the salt, I'm hoping you're able to get it oiled. Have a great one brother, and have a hell of a good day.
wish I had a quarter of the self reliance this kid has. Makes me rethink my entire life.
“Tool acquisition disorder”!!! That’s me! 😂😂😂. Love it!
That was a true LoL moment :)
I’m a 30 year + auto mechanic. I’m really impressed young man. I’ve seen some guys working next to me who couldn’t do what you do. Replacing parts is easy. Rebuilding is a lost art almost. Everyone just throws parts away. Good job. Great Channel
She looks deadly friend. Sure nice to see an old work horse brought back to road worthy condition. I hope she continues to run and drive good for a long time. Good luck and stay safe out there 👍👍
You said, "I suffer from tool acquisition syndrome." Yeah, I have that too!! 😊!!! Well done in your Dodge truck!!!
A self-honking horn has to be one of the funniest things I’ve heard in a while. 😂
This dude was born to be in front of a camera haha
Kyle, she looks deadly! She's a beauty and you have every right to be proud of her and the work you did to get her past her inspection. Don't sweat trying to get out your videos, just do them at the pace you feel comfortable with. We're not going anywhere and we love and enjoy what you do. Cheers mate!
Ur the textbook definition of if there’s a will there’s a way !
nice wrenching my friend
One doesn’t need to be burned by a garage only a few times to realise that DIY car repairs, maintenance and servicing is best. You know the parts are OEM and installed properly. And oil changes are best quality and the oil filter has been changed each time.
Right on about the cheap tools - Cheap tools are never a waste! Even if you upgrade one eventually, congrats, you have your nice one and your shit-kicker one. Cheers
I admire your will, dedication and passion for life! The world needs more people like you. Congrats 💪🏼
That's one hell of a job especially making your own tools when you have too. Ever since I got injured in the oilfields trucking. It's been hard fixing my own truck but after watching you I'm going to do my best to get it done a little bit at a time. I love your videos and keep them coming.
Dude, you are a man of many talents! I've been watching your channel for a long time, and I know from watching you that you are very resourceful, but I am amazed that every time I watch you do your thing you knock it out of the park! Congratulations on the truck and on building your dream log home.
It really is quite dandy what a man and a wrench can do for and ole 12 valve. As my brother in Texas would always say, aint no one love a 12 valve the way a prairie boy does.
Hey Wild Man lol hope all is going great
I got 30 years on this kid and he fixes shit with channel locks and crescent wrenches. Reminds me of my dad LOL! keep up the good work fucking really look forward to this channel
Watching from the cold uk 🇬🇧 👍👍👍👍
You Deserve it.
Great job on your truck, you’ll have it in mint condition soon enough with your skills. 👍🏻
You did a great job getting your truck past inspection. It’s a beauty.
Man what can’t you do. Very inspiring indeed. For a younger fella you’ve got some wicked skills. I really enjoyed this video. Seeing the old girl up and running is sure fantastic. It’ll serve you well for years to come. Just stay away from them deer lol. Thanks for sharing Kyle.
She's a beauty. Doing your own work and saving a lot of money sure feels good.
Going to be a great day now !!
I watched your video twice...just to see the joy on your face on your first ride after passing inspection so happy for you!
One of the best tools you have at your disposal is that good quality vise on your bench. I have one also, and if I had to start over again it would be the first tool I'd buy. Amazing video Kyle. Your talent is boundless.
It’s amazing watching you accomplish all this stuff and meanwhile here in the U.S., kids your age can’t even figure out which bathroom to use.
Great video, I like seeing your smile!😀
Very inspirational as I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 quad cab Cummins diesel that I bought new !!! It has 137 K miles on it and was thinking of getting rid of it !!! But after watching this... I just might fix the little things that occur with a20 year old vehicle !!!
That truck is a beauty. Glad you had the time to get it up, running and back on the road!
Awesome job getting the pickup back to doing what it was made to do!! Beautiful!!!
I don't know much about working on trucks, but watching ya work on that thing was the most interesting thing I've seen in a while. You're pretty inspiring man- take care!
Well done son…good to see you happy as all heck..😃😁😀😃
That's a Beauty of a Truck you have there. I absolutely Loved watching you Rebuild everything yourself. When I was growing up my Dad never bought anything New, He Rebuilt it all Himself. Starter went out, he rebuilt it. I was his tool go-for lol but I watched. Came in handy years later and Saved a Lot of Money doing it myself. Thank you for the Video, I enjoy watching your long videos working on things yourself.
Just as I was thinking about having the right tools you started talking about it . I get stuck doing jobs by the lack of the right tool and often have to wait and borrow something. But also over many years have gathered a lot of stuff and every new tool I acquire brings me joy . Only this week I was in a skip grabbing a toolbox, spanner’s and other assorted stuff, made my day 👍
That was definitely a hell of a project. Watched ysa go from ripped jeans and tee shirt to overalls, hoodie, and hot coffee.
As a guy who was born in Canada but is now living down south in the states, this makes me want to move back up north again into the bush and breathe that fresh air. Congrats on getting er done!
Interesting enough... I lived 12 years of my young life in Canada and recently moved to the southern states... I'm about to move to Alaska lol! I'm done with this. If I had to describe the south in one word it would be stagnant. Sums it up pretty well.
@greatwhitenorthlife2327 stagnant is a very good way to describe it. Hahaha Alaska sounds like a fantastic idea! Maybe one day I'll get lucky enough. Take it easy bro
And still living in Canada! What is your story about "now living down south in the states"?
@gillesblanchard1699 well life down south is much different than up there. But the nice part is there is lots of country and woods to mess around in and a lot of cool old trucks just like the one in the video, so it's not all bad!
So happy to see you., Great video
Great video! Glad you got your truck going! Love all of your videos! All the different types, logs, trapping, vehicles maintenance, anything and everything!
Congratulations on fixing your truck.
Best trucks ever Dodges and Chevys easy interchange parts the older the better nowadays the new trucks are nothing but junk
I agree
Good job on the repairs on the 1st Gen. There's nothing like the old iron.
Fix it yourself and you know its done right
Thanks for the update. Its great to see you enjoying your new truck. Keep yourself warm and safe
That trucks a real buet, my dad had a 76 ramcharger 440 4x4, man that truck had some beach balls.
I really like the quality of this video, the shots you took, and how you managed the scenes, keep them coming!
Nice work! Keeping old trucks on the road
"Where theres a will theres a way," I have fixed a couple of things with nothing but 2 butter knives and a can of soup in a pinch. It wasnt pretty but it worked!
Killer truck bro, can’t wait to see the finished log house, you rule dude.
Ya know what I like to do underneath my rigs , I get them up in the air on a lift if possible , or maybe up on the tractor forks where you can get a pressure washer to it good shape and give it Hell. I let it dry and use a garden sprayer and give everything underneath a good soak down with rust converter, let that dry good shape and then spray it with slightly thinned out silver roofing paint. Stuff lasts me almost forever that way and I usually keep rigs for 25-30 years sometimes. Last newer one I sprung for was a Southern car and I did that up right off and that was in 2009 so it should last a good long time, it's rust free still . The truck is 18 years old and still has a clean frame.
I live in Vt on dirt roads way out in the boonies where stuff takes a beating and they use a sand and salt brine mix that beats the stuffings out of a rig , not counting the 1 1/2 foot deep ruts sometimes ! LOL
It's allot more work I know ,,but so is finding the shit load of bucks it takes to buy else something decent , and then have to buy one more often if you don't too .
I drove through a dealership just for shits when I was in town and looked at some stickers on 7-8 year old trucks,,I almost fell over !
I guess I'm just fine with what I got now and I'll just fix the 2-3 things that one needs done instead of trading it off.
Holly Crap ,,for the 20 K plus my trade they want to replace the truck I have now,, I could make what I got brandy new , top to bottom . Hell, I'll just spent the 2-3 grand and fix mine myself sense it just barely broke 100K ! Around here there asking 27-28K for a used truck with 175 -180K miles on them,,No Thanks!
You looked so damn happy. Glad that old girl is up and running good
Well done! Now coat the underside with "Fluid Film".
Truck’s a beast. You got’r done son. Now let’s get a roof on that cabin. Good job.
You got her pur rr rrrrin in like a kitten , Good job
Well done and thanks for sharing
One of your best videos yet, makes my day when a new one pops up!
You are amazing and I love your enthusiasm the way you tackle all your projects. You can see how proud you are of that truck and all that you did to get it to pass inspection, congrats!! Keep pushing on, love watching you make log cabin building a task for one person?? Would not have believed that had it not been for all your videos. You amaze me at every turn!! Your passion is captivating!!
Traplines, the First Gen Cummins looks deadly! Your 12-Valve maintenance videos are some of my favorites. Big respect for all the fantastic work that you do. This one is awesome. Your Photography A1. - Stay Safe My Friend.
Thank you Ted I appreciate it my friend
SO nice to catch an update from you bro. As soon as I start to worry, your timing is perfect. Gz on the new truck, obviously you've been working on it for quite a while. I'll miss the old 12V but this ride makes it a little easier.
Fantastic job Kyle, you should rightly be proud of passing inspection.
So happy for you
LOVE that truck, and what you did for it.
I have been WAITING for this!!! So cool to see the old girl run!!
I love the truck! It’s got the best look. You did a great job!
After watching you all these years there's one thing I know in my hart there's nothing you can't do or work out
Impressed with your mechanical skills
Deadly Bushman, You are one "AWESOME MAN"!! They say old trucks and tractors just need a little TLC, so true and you are a master!! Heck, you could be a professor in a university!! Such a fine channel and truck, love it ❤❤😁
One man army fella.
I love these old dodges! I have a Gen 2 that I bought from a buddy. I’ve put 100,000 miles on it, and it’s done everything I’ve ever asked of it.
Congratulations on passing your inspection.
Nice thing about the early trucks is they weren't designed with yuppies in mind but were made for a guy who works his rig. You can actually reach into the bed from the sides as well as clean the inside of the windshield and have access to the engine compartment's firewall. It is even a reasonable stretch to load when the tailgate is down without a fork lift. Happy driving.
"Keep On Trucking" RAM Tough, yeah baby!
Nice to see the old girl on the road. Up until 4 years ago when the frame broke I drove an 89' 1/2 ton and worked the piss out of it. I miss that old truck but drive a 94 F250HD now and work it pretty hard too. Like you I do all my own wrenching cuz it's basically the only way I can afford to drive. Old trucks + do the work yourself = no payments!
Truck looks like she needs a good trip to the shop for undercoating
Congratulations young man!!! You didn't hear this from me but save your engine oil next oil change. Go buy a cheap spray gun and spray the hell out of the underside of your truck { when no one is looking } and your rust worries will be a thing of the past. Do that every fall { when no one is looking } and the truck will live on as long as you want. Cheers
I have a lot of cheap tools too. No sense spending a ton when you only need em once in a while. That bearing race tool you made is pretty bad ass. Farm boy ingenuity!
Excellent work! Do enjoy the sweet fruits of your labors! And thank you for sharing it all with us ❤
cant really beat an old 12 valve. completely agree with you that simple is best.
Ole girls got a half a million left in her at least, nice work my dude
Sweet rig man, been watching your channel fir a while from Washington state.
I planned my whole evening around this and you didn't disappoint! Deadly!
get under it and spray it down with fluid film to keep it nice also tire chains . keep moving forward brother 🤠
Thinking of you as a kid is easy to do, but you are multi-skilled a young man. You amaze me every time I see a video from you. I wish fur prices would go up, I miss the trapping aspect of your channel. stay safe
I just absolutely love that truck! You nailed it when you talk about the feeling you have when driving the thing down the road, late at night, right after you just brought it back to life. The ain't a better feeling! Excellent job on the entire video! Stay safe and keep after it.
She's a damm good lookin' rig!
Good to see you Kyle , great work on the truck , it's a sweet one . Happy winter , see you soon . Robert in Hamilton , On.
Your a pretty smart hard working young fellow
A real inspiration 🎉🎉
Open trade all the way. Simply because many of us can’t afford it any other way. Pretty simple really. 👍👍
Good for you man . I wish I could do half the things you’re capable of. Your very bright young man and a damn hard worker. Your going places feller.
