NICE CRANE!! PLEASE MAKE & WELD A STEEL CAGE WHERE THE WINDSHIELD USE TO BE.. that will stop & slow down a log from coming inside . Could prevent a nasty accident
My wife's grandkid is 25 and a degreed graduate of Uni. and will need surgery to get the couch off of his back. Had everything he needs handed to him.. He's never had a job other than a short spell with food delivery/ car hop.. Flip side, I think this young fella will go places and if given the right opportunities really far. Perhaps an inspirational speaker for high school students..
My first piece of machinery, shining so bright, A symbol of hope, and dreams taking flight, With gears and levers, and a purpose so clear, My first piece of machinery, I hold it dear.
I've run heavy Equipment over 30 years as a crane operator- learn your charts young man. 16000lbs capacity is directly in front of the carry deck, fully boomed and stick down you'll be lucky to lift 800lbs They are also most often ran indoors on solid concrete as well. it's better known as a carry deck mainly used for large plant indoor maintenance so be careful be safe, make sure you have solid cribbing under your outriggers every lift
Outrigger cribbing very important when working on that kind of ground it's a bad feeling having a load in the air and seeing an outrigger go away! That carry deck is a work horse!
Your excitement comes through 1000-fold. I am so happy for you...keep up the good work. This 59 year old lady from New Mexico is excited to see the completion of your build. You are doing great!!!!!!
Congratulations on your purchase, one small piece of advice is that you MUST grease EVERYTHING on that machine, grease is your best friend now and it's cheaper than buying new parts. Remember, grease often and grease everything.
What a deadly addition at last, that will give your body a break from the excessive heavy loads you're shifting Kyle. Im over the moon in excitement for you, as is everyone who follows and supports your channel young man. Be safe and be saved. Gods given you incredible talents young man, dont leave Him hanging. Meet Him, repent & accept Him as Saviour, serve Him as Lord and you'll reap a bountiful reward here on earth and in eternity. His hand is already upon you, so don't reject Him. I wouldnt be honouring Him or you if i didnt share . Much love from this old Aussie Nan. 🇦🇺🤗💞🙏👌👍✌️👏🇨🇦✝️
Brother I'm 68 and retired. I was a pipefitter and pipe welder for my whole life I have a 2005 5.9 ram I done a lot of work on so you peaked my interest with your 12 values and 4 bt. I live in Idaho and if I were closer I would come help you. Be safe Brother, I admire your enthusiasm. Good luck
A Grove Drot. Also called a cherry picker. Used heavily in refineries and chemical plants for installing pipes in the structure. Put your outrigger feet down when lifting and pay close attention to your lift charts. Nice score.
Very happy to see you get that crane!!! That will make setting all the upper level logs way easier and safer!!! Major improvement 👏 👌 💪 😊!!! And by the way your craftsmanship on your log house is excellent 👏!! Very well done 👏 👍 !!! FYI, you could buy a piece of plexiglass to fill in your missing windshield 😊!!!
You may want too put some pads under the outrigger pads. Spread it out. They can get tippy. Ran a crane setting roof trusses and lots of HVAC units. Never can be to careful on the setup.
Great buy, Make some outrigger pads at least 4in thick use them even on hard ground . Make the picks with the tires completely off the ground. love the attitude and vids.
I think the crane found its perfect owner . Just from what you shared it seems like just what you needed . The pick and carry part is perfect for your logs and the extension is super trick 👌. I’m really looking forward to you showing us all it can do .
What a handy little machine, they definitely work better on hard ground. If you get stuck, you can often get out by extending the boom all the way out. Shifts the weight to the drive wheels. Having the outriggers really helps if you get badly stuck.
Equipment like that as long as it's maintained and works, will resell for just about what you pay for it. It's worth it for a project like yours and cheaper than renting. If it cost you $10,000 and you get $9,000 for it that's a $1,000 rental bill you can't pass up.
same here! big smile on my face to finally see the crane we all knew you would be getting at some point :D Hope it all works out, good luck, stay safe and looking forward to the next one!
I am a union crane operator young man I have ran cranes all sizes for over 26 years and if you're not probably trained on that machine it is a death trap. You have to deduct the weight of the ball the hook and the line from that 16,000 lb. And the more you boom out the less weight you can lift. It starts to flip or toss over on you whatever you do don't get out of that cab keep yourself buckled in and go down for the ride so you don't kill yourself. And the key is for the carrier deck to be totally level before you do your pick. Get it as close up to the cabin as you can. The more you boom out the less weight you can lift. And you should have help you should have a tagline on your logs and someone holding on to the tag line to help you set the log. And for the love of God get proper rigging gear. Be safe God bless you. An extend your outriggers If you have any And set your outriggers down and pads. If you have any.
Congrats bro & she's flat glass windows easily fixed & with little run time you be a pro inn no time but really happy for u ur doing great old boy take care of ur self & god bless
WOW. This is really AWESOME. Super happy that you were able to find this big piece of machinery. Best of luck to you continuing your build. Things should go much better for you now that you have something to haul those big logs around safely. Take your time and please be careful swinging those things around to get them where you need them to be. See you soon. Happy Building my Friend 🥰❤️
As you've shown in the past, any problem and or difficulty is only temporary when you set your mind to overcome it. Now on with your house build with less difficulty now you have a crane Congratulations on getting an important machine to continue building. Keep up your excellent work. Both in your house and the quality videos you make. building.
For as hard as you have been working, you deserve to be this silly ass happy about your first machine. You scored deadly good son. Can wait to see you getting her into service.
Great Job getting the Crane. I live in Japan where they take carpentry very seriously. The way you are notching and fitting your logs kind of reminds me of sukiya daiku (Japanese Carpentry). You just have a lot of guts doing the whole thing on your own.
Very happy you were able to purchase a crane to help out with your build. It look in pretty good and the icing on the cake is that is has a cumming motor . You are doing an incredible job Have been watching your channel for over two years All the best Take Care
I'm looking forward to this One Man Show showing us how one man can accomplish, with a crane that normally needs two people because this one man is so intelligent I know he is going to show us how it's done - safely. At least that's what I believe. He's done this so many times already, I believe he is going to do it again - safely. And if he can't do it safely, he'll have no problem saying so. This is what I love about you Kyle.
Last vid I thought a small deck crane would help, and look what showed up. Good job young man seeking out the gear. Now the learnings! Enjoying your excitement & accomplishments.
That’s a serious piece of equipment man!! Definitely gonna make a huge difference for ya, and might look pretty cool on your tshirts!! So happy for you, keep up the good work, and be safe up there!
Great addition to your toolbox! Congratulations. I am excited to see what all you can do with it. It should make things go much smoother. Alot safer than the tractor, I would think. Have fun, be careful, look forward to your next video.
Congrats on the new crane. I’m sure it’ll be a big help around the Homestead. A few things you may want to invest in are outrigger mats and a spreader bar for lifting loads that are of unequal dimensions from end to end.
Fantastic. I truly love watching you move forward with your build. It's so cool to see your enthusiasm and how you move closer to your ultimate goals. I miss seeing your videos more often, but just knowing you do everything on your own is so inspirational.
Heads up in your following videoed with your crane, advertise yourself on your crane and offer rental of your crane! It’s advertising on your episodes if you advertise on your crane!!
Lad you excitement is contagious couldnt be happier for you. You are a amazing devouted youn Man your work ethic is second to none. you make me very proud for all your accompishments.
You sure have that smile on your face for New Machinery!! First thing Please weld on New Metal grate to protect you when using crane!! Other than that: the build continues 👍 Nice Purchase! Barry Deacon Mb. Canada 🇨🇦
Happy for you! Rewards come from hard work and you sure deserve it for taking on such a big project by yourself. Thanks for the update. From Hells Canyon, Frank.
Congrats on the machine! What an awesome accomplishment. That oughta help with the build nicely. I bet you will find so many uses for a crane it’s unreal.
That's an awesome little machine. Before you give the tractor back, one thing you could do is scrape off the top soft layer of soil and use your excess budget to get a bunch of rock to spread around so your crane doesn't sink as easy. Not sure if it's the best solution, or even a good one, or if it would help once it snows, but it seems like a good idea in my completely inexperienced head lol.
That's awesome, brother. Make sure you lube up the outrigger slides good. They have a tendency to stick out on that model. We call those type of cranes, neck breakers because you don't swing with the boom.
Oh yeah! And right from the start! LET'S GO! I found myself smiling so big for you! This is gonna be a game changer!
NICE CRANE!!
PLEASE MAKE & WELD A STEEL CAGE WHERE THE WINDSHIELD USE TO BE.. that will stop & slow down a log from coming inside . Could prevent a nasty accident
Was wondering if that’s what happened to the last one. 😵💫
Holy shit 22years old. Most of us were still worrying about which shirt to wear. You are an inspiration to us all, Young and old.

A brilliant job for him to do once he's finished this build.
The smile on your face as you pulled up says it all. 😅
Came here to say this.
Hope it turns out well for you, looks deadly😁

I found in some cases you could use the ends of wooden cable reels.
Thank you guys for any safety info you can give this young man. He's smart, he'll listen!
Exactly what I was thinking, a need to stabilize the outriggers in the soft ground. 👍
Outrigger cribbing very important when working on that kind of ground it's a bad feeling having a load in the air and seeing an outrigger go away! That carry deck is a work horse!
Looks like he’s working it just fine old man, relax.
I just burst out laughing and smiling when I saw your grin as you pulled up in the crane, I'm so bloody proud of you bud. 👏
Your excitement comes through 1000-fold. I am so happy for you...keep up the good work. This 59 year old lady from New Mexico is excited to see the completion of your build. You are doing great!!!!!!
This 72 yr. old lady from Wisconsin AGREES with you🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤😊
The 70-year-old lady loves watching it you do so it's a good job
Make sure you understand the load chart so you don't get yourself into trouble.
Congratulations on your purchase, one small piece of advice is that you MUST grease EVERYTHING on that machine, grease is your best friend now and it's cheaper than buying new parts.
Remember, grease often and grease everything.
Great advice!! Old iron lasts so much longer with grease. Also change out the zirks if they are rusted/damaged.
@@OldJeepGarage very true.
Absolutely!!
Simplest suggestion is the BEST recommendation 😊
One thing I know about trap daddy is that he's not afraid to use some lube.
She's a beauty, now you have to name her. She's strong so it'll have to be a strong mighty name.
Good job my friend. ❤Boston

You need to build a 14 FOOT spreader bar with sling hooks. A remote control winch set up portable can be used to control log.
This crane was 100% necessary, especially for deconstructing all the logs without damage. What a great score for your build!!! LIKE BUTTON SMASHED!
Ojalá te sirva y te vaya bien 👍
That's a great addition to the homestead! It's definitely a game changer.
I've never seen a man so giddy in my life. Enjoy your new toy, sir.
"She's small but she's mighty..." That's what I tell myself all the time to boost my confidence

Man, the happiness I felt for you seeing that beast.. It's just deadly, bud!! So dang proud of you
That’s awsome glad you found one that will do the job
Excited for you man. That is going to make your life easier and help you finish your log home!! Great move!!
Oh and it iis a big deal friend !!!!!! Another great tool and make things less dangerous
That's an awesome little machine.

Owning a used machine is much better than renting. And you can sell the machine once you no longer need it.
Happy for ya. Now you can get those logs up more safely and quicker.
That thing is awesome!!!!! Love watching your progress!!!! Great channel!!!
That's awesome, brother. Make sure you lube up the outrigger slides good. They have a tendency to stick out on that model. We call those type of cranes, neck breakers because you don't swing with the boom.
Gonna have to make some pads, brother for your outriggers
