      definitely, but I don't get the point of doing this instead of setting the camera projection to "parallel"? Anyway, really appreciate this tutorial!

      @@giacomobettiol Setting the camera to parallel would cause losing depth and perspective when we need them, during the "random starfield" section.

    Feels nostalgic, old school GSG. More of these please!

    For seamless loop in c4d. Setup the first galaxy with taper and all, make a copy with all the same settings and rotate that 180. When they it 180 have scaling, random around the logo area so you don’t see two versions of the logo, and add that back when it turns around again. Then you have random galaxy’s from the second setup, and only the same elements when you hit 90 and 270.

    In case you have the same problem as me by doing it and the deformers as the taper will do some crazy things: it does not work with render instances 🤷‍♂

    This is sooooooo good - thank you! Familiar with After Effects but a first-time Cinema 4D user here.
    Are you able to share the project file to dig in to?

    Love the tutorial, I used to love your regular videos too.
    I had a few ideas of how to create this before viewing your video, not of which would have been as good. I'm intrigued by your use of Shift C, it looks to me like that would take longer than just clicking on the icons next to the object manager, after all, adding an extrude is just one click.

    Use matrix instead of primitive object
    So you can change the object later using redshift tag
    will significally get faster viewport preview

    • @Greyscalegorilla
      @Greyscalegorilla  2 роки тому +1

      Good idea. Will the taper effect the matrix the same way?

    Anyone know why my redshift materials are displaying black in the preview? Missing the sphere, just a black box??!!

  • @adventurefilms
    @adventurefilms 2 роки тому

    So like most tutorials, I can't get past the first 3 minutes... :-( I add the .ai file, add a sphere, add a cloner, put the sphere in the cloner, and change the cloner from Grid to object. As soon as I change it to object, all the clones disappear and no size, step or number will bring them back. Does the .ai file need to be a specific type of line or grouped object within Ilustrator?

    • @splizer101
      @splizer101 2 роки тому +1

      I found exporting your .ai as Illustrator 3 works best.

    9:49 How do you get the camera to show the field of view lines? Currently, my camera is only showing up as a dot? So without being able to see the field of view lines I can't get the taper correct.
