I like the way it looks now. Let's see how it is in 6 months if we're allowed out by then of course. Overall doing these things you are likely to end up with a car that does look a lot better/different for little money.
It’s called TFR (Traffic Film Remover) mixed with some warm water. It’s quite a tough degreaser - the stuff those hand car wash places use as the pre-wash spray.
Hi. I have one question. Is it one spray of 400ml enough for paint all 4 calipers. And how I saw you didn’t put primer before painting calipers so I guess it’s not needed or you suggest to still put primer before. Kindly looking for answer. Best regards Ps. following your channel, you are explaining things really simple and understandable. Really good 🙌🏻
I need to find this paint in Germany, looks amazing. Did you ever replace those brake clamps cause people tell me to do this after some higher mileage. Greetz
Hi Alex, I’ve actually done no work on these brakes at all. When I bought the car all the pads were brand new and the discs are ok, so I’ve not done anything on them yet.
Didn't find your pege before now, but that is also because I haven't had a BMW before now. I have a BMW X5 M50D Sport with blue calipers. But the blue color is chipped and also probably damaged from when the braks was change, I don't know. But do I just do like you, use a metal brush clean them. Or do I have to use sandpaper also because mine is already blue?
I wondered if anyone would comment on those terrible fog lights 😂 They’re a bit of an awkward shape, so will have to remove them to polish... maybe I’ll add it to the list 👍
Have you replaced the discs or pads yet? When I replaced my front pads for the first time I found a bleed nipple was dry, even though I'd paid a dealer to change the brake fluid earlier when the car was newer. When I opened the nipple to let out some fluid to compress the caliper pistons, no fluid emerged from the nipple. So I bought a new nipple and changed it out quickly. On checking the now removed nipple it was completely blocked probably from new so no way could the dealer have ever bled my brakes correctly on all four sides...... I am fairly light footed, after >50k miles the discs are original. Changing the rear pads is a pain due to the electric handbrake and the need to wind back the caliper mechanism..
Actually, I haven’t needed to do any brake pads/discs on this BMW. The Mercedes C-class I had before was easy because there was a simple way to put the rear calipers into ‘service position’ - I haven’t looked at the procedure for the F11
@@Nut_Job. you can electronically put them in service mode if you have an ODBII connector, or you need to disconnect the parking brake motor on the caliper and then you can uncompress the pad with the same screw the motor is mounted on. Hope I'm clear.
Bro u doing awesome job. But one recommendation for u plz any part u pull In the car show us how u pull it and what tools u use cuz I have bmw same urs and I want to learn more from. U r awesome thank u

The sticker on my 535xi was 77k. Why can't they slap a coat or two of paint on my calipers at the factory? My entire car looks great except the rusty caliper.
Hi mate are you from London? I saw a car like yours today and I don’t know why but I remembered you 😂😂, I saw the car in Enfield area but I couldn’t see you because I was already in a round about taking my exit
Nut Job tell me about it I want crazy weeks ago But it’s all good fun. Looking forward to your next video. I would love to no the history of the car with it being an x police car I bet it can tell and tale or two
What he doesn't know is how much that paint is going to get fucked up by that caliper spring clip being installed. Good luck, shouldn't have taken that spring off.
Mate you're right. I had to take it off today to compress the piston, many many bad words have been said when it was time to put these spring clips back on. I swear to god I could have killed the moron that design such shit.
Lovely Jubbly, colour looks spot on for the brakes.
Nice job!! Easy and clever.
Great job! How long did the paint job last? Does it still look good?
this colour looks beautiful because of this video i'm leaning towards this looks
Thanks champ for excellent video

Any video of the callipers with wheels on would be great
How long did the paint job last? Does it still look good? Because you didn't put any primer and laquer.
Great job, love your diy . Just wonder what cleaner solution did you use as the calioer looked brand new after clean up before painting. Thanks

Could you do a video of you painting calipers with wheels on?
Love that metallic blue, product info thx
How did they hold up with washing
Great little video, what is the colour you sprayed on the callipers?
I found a high-heat paint called ‘electric blue pearl’ from an eBay seller, so thought I’d try it. This is it: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352097508679
Very nice 👍👍👍👍👍
I picked this up sometime ago and I have not used it 😂😂 are you just looking for things to use up but that front grill does look good
Nice color on calipers. You should polish those fog lights, and maybe put some nice led's in 👍

Now the plastic is black and the tear and wear is visible on the fog lights. Time to polish them 😎👍.
