I'm wishing all the best for you! If for some reason it doesn't work this cycle, keep trying as I speak from experience. It took me 3 tries at IVF for it to take and I ended up with healthy twins. I had to take injections for the first 3 months I was pregnant. That was 22 years ago so I'm sure technology is probably better now. Fair warning: after my first 2 attempts when it didn't work, I can honestly say those were the worse days of my life. The disappointment is just terrible and no one can possible understand unless they have been in the same situation, but there is always hope if you keep trying. I will pray that it will take for you!

Ended up here because I recognized you and Blair in the waiting room of our clinic a few weeks ago! I’m just a few months ahead of you in the process, with similar experiences. My infertility is also unexplained and I am also a carrier for factor 5. We finally just had our first embryo transfer! IVF is the hardest thing I have ever done, but it has been so worth it and I can’t say enough about how well all the nurses and staff at the clinic have taken care of us. I’m convinced they are absolutely the best. I know they’re going to take amazing care of you just like they do for me! Good luck on your first stim! I hope your follicles are poppin!

Good luck Elle! I did an egg retrieval cycle (while I still had insurance coverage) back in December and have 7 healthy frozen embryobabies. I was on gonal f twice daily and then cetrotide once a day. I found the cetrotide to be the most painful, icing the area afterwards helped me with the sting.

I didn't know you had factor 5! I do too, but 2 copies, so that's super cool. 🙄 I did lovenox and heparin through 2 pregnancies with no issues! So I'm very grateful!

I'm hoping to join you soon. I'm on the pill until Sept 13th for now. Will start injections shortly after that. It's hugely nerve wrecking times physically, emotionally and financially. We are also doing PGS and PGD will be interested to hear your results as they come thanks for sharing so much of the info it's a very personal process too it seems.
We have just entered a snap lockdown in New Zealand for prob a few weeks but luckily fertility clinics can still operate!

Sending lots of love and positivity that you get lots of eggs and they are healthy and that you get pregnant and everything goes well with that. I did my first ivf cycle back in may got 5 eggs I have low ovarian reserve and only got one good embryo and transferred that one in august. But unfortunately are transfer failed so now it’s on to round 2. But this time I’m going to a new clinic closer to me that a friend of mine went to. I got a job at Amazon and they have awesome fertility benefits I mean great. So hopefully we start a new cycle this month or next month.

My AMH is 1.4 also and I'm 34. I ended up with 14 eggs, 9 fertilized with ICSI(we did ICSI since we did PGT testing, not for Male factor infertility), and we ended up with 5 blasts. All 5 were euploid. I only used gonal f for stim and then cetrotide. I fully believe you will have a good outcome. I did use birth control for 3 weeks prior to my cycle but it wasn't bc they batch everyone it was to reduce my issue for a leading follicle. You got this girl!

Yeah I’m lucky enough to have my job cover my ivf. Amazon uses progyny don’t know if you have heard of them but they cover pretty much everything including PGS testing and there is no up front cost which is nice. And once your cycle is done your clinic will bill Progyny and once they figure out how much you have to pay they send you a bill for your part. And another good thing about it is you can pay it back In monthly payments which is great.
