Pittsburgh was 3/12 on third down. The offense is why we lost. They have to stay on the field longer so that the defense can play well and so that the opponent has less of an opportunity. You cannot win games with this type of offense if you arent able to control the ball
@@nigielschroeder3510 then why get author smith as your coordinator. This is the style of offense we chose and it's not going anywhere. If we ever have a lead with the other team needing a long drive to score a TD to win then Iam confident in a win. Didn't happen here

So many people give QBs too much credit for wins, or blame for losses. Bengals should be resounding proof that this shouldnt be the case. Burrow is playing outta his mind. He's not the problem in Cincinnati
Bengals need to fire their defensive coach. Sure, there have been some mistakes on offence but defence has ALWAYS let the team down so far. It sometimes looks like they don’t even know how to tackle
Consistency was never Justin Fields' strong point in his time in Chicago. For every amazing game he would have, he would have two or three games afterward where you're wondering what he's doing or seeing on the field. And regarding the Steelers' most recent head-case receiver, George Pickens, I don't think the Bears are going to swoop in and drop a high second round draft pick on them to make that problem go away this time.
Mike Tomlin is a problem, no question, but i think the reason Steelers kept him is because the owner/front office just want to play safe in regards to HC. Being just above 0.500 every season is average at best. Yet Tomlin does give them 0.500+.
Love your content man, but "The Steelers are done" is a complete overreaction. We just finished week 5. They're 3-2 in a division lead with Baltimore. There's no reality where Tomlin benches the team's clear, current WR1 (who yeah, is phoning in some routes, no doubt). There are VERY real issues with this team, O-Line depth and offensive play calling being some big ones, but calling them "done" at this stage just isn't it.
He isn’t wrong tho, this team at best is a wild card exist. It’s the same thing every year, being fine with being mediocre. This won’t ever change as long as Tomlin is the hc or they just start to rebuild
By "done", he said they're a wild card round exit, and anybody who's paid any attention to the Steelers knows that's exactly their ceiling. The Steelers signed up for mediocrity when they brought in Justin Fields and Russ and that's exactly what they're going to be.
It’s not an overreaction. Anyone who wasn’t a Steelers fan pretty much knew fields is who he is. He’s not gonna magically become amazing. Just like Derek carr. Everyone knew he was gonna come back down to earth after the first few weeks. Just like everyone knows Sam Darnold is eventually gonna come back down to earth. If your best player is pouting so bad to the point other players have to go throw shade at him while on the podium, he’s not your best player. That offense is bad. It sounds like Pickens is a cancer. Yes. The defense is other worldly. They’ll win a good few games because of them. But just like every other year, they will go .500 (or 9-7) and then all offseason we’ll hear about how Mike tomlin has never had a losing season
Would rather reload and stay competitive than tank for a lotto QB who could end up like Bryce Young and be stuck in rebuilding for years like the giants jags or panthers. The Tomlin way is slow and we're reloading now. Trending in the right direction after the past few years, though.
Flores, I hope gets another job as a Head coach , he got screwed by the Miami's useless owner and idiot GM , and as a life long Dolphins fan, I was beyond annoyed when they let him go, and frankly I am more than content to watch the team burn at this point, they did it to themselves.
I will say this: The Vikings offense is still very good. Yes they struggle with turnovers, but that is fixable. They really don’t have any glaring weaknesses outside of maybe the interior O-line, but even that isn’t the worst in the league. Sam Darnold had a rough game, but they still won, and Darnold will be back.
It is absolutely insane to me that Mike Tomlin's biggest strength in earlier years is no longer his strength. George Pickens and Diontae Johnson both were outright divas last year who didn't like to put up any effort if they thought they weren't going to be involved in a play and that is somewhat on Tomlin for not getting these guys motivated and under control. And when I say no longer his strength, I mean look at how long he micro-managed Antonio Brown and LeVeon Bell. Bell's year after his last with the Steelers showed a lot of attitude and him skipping a year pretty much ended his career since he couldn't be consistent on the Jets, and obviously I don't need to bring up anything AB did after his Steelers day, we all know it. It's insane how tame Tomlin kept AB and he can't control Pickens' attitude.
Steelers should of won that game fields did his job at the end defense just couldn't get a last stop allowing a td on 4th & goal . Defense was pretty bad that last drive tbh although fields needed to score more points especially with cowboys down multiple of their top defenders
I don’t buy the Vikings for one second. Their defense will get more and more figured out as the year goes by and while Darnold has been solid he has shown some of his old failings in the past couple games. Receiving core is crazy good still and Jones still has got it (when healthy)
Why has no one on UA-cam been blaming the Steelers defense. Offense hasn’t been perfect but both games they lost came down to “hey defense…. We need a stop late!!” And they just don’t get it. If their defense gets ONE stop in the 2nd half before the 2min warning, Steelers win…. And in Dallas they had the lead and the defense let dak move allllll the way up the field and score with 10 seconds left. Idk I think the Steeler defense is slipping. TJ still gets sacks, overall they can still force turnovers …. But if one of those don’t happen then the other team usually scores because they’re ATROCIOUS at forcing 3 and outs.
If I’m the Rams if the Panthers do get a QB in the upcoming draft I would try to trade for Bryce Young and see if McVay can fix him and he can possibly be the QB of the future as he sits behind Stafford for two years
The Justin Fields hate is insane he is a great qb although your right he’s not a top 3 qb in his conference but he could win you games with good offensive support like a wr or two that isn’t a diva and a run game to work well with HIS running ability bc in last weeks game at least he was gaining some good yards with his feet
Ya know, the Steelers backup is a Top 10 ALL TIME statistical NFL future Hall of Fame quarterback…. Right? And he was supposed to be the starter. Just sayin’
as a bengals fan i'm tired of seeing great players come and go. when they let bates go i was fuming. browns tight wallet and approach has cost this team championship level success. he doesn't gamble and he doesn't win he just relies on rookies to fill the gaps and hope they play well enough. when it comes time to pay great players he looks to trade. cheap ass owner.
@@FootballAnalysis1 You have a very good "matter of fact" way of speaking and very consistent inflections with the way you end or pause your sentences, easy to notice after a while that's all.
What pisses me off about the Bengals this season is they easily should've won AT LEAST 2 of those games they lost. They should've beat the chiefs considering Mahomes played like ass, and they should've beat the Ravens by running out the clock instead of calling a pass with less than 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter (the one that Humprey intercepted).
Superstitious Steeler fan here: yes. Write us off. We suck when we're the darlings; we bring it as the u-dogs. Keep us out of the power rankings, please! That said, George brings shame to my name. When drafted, I knew he had a high chance to be mental but hoped for the best. Honestly, I'd bench him now. You want out? Good luck getting top receiver money with limited game tape...
Not saying this to put salt in the wound or be Captain Hindsight, but in your predictions for this year you had the Jets doing well and expressed frustration at people discounting their chances "just because its the Jets, you need a better reason than that" (paraphrasing). Days like today prove why "because its the Jets" IS a good enough reason to doubt a team until proven wrong. Organizations win championships, and bad organizations need every lucky break because otherwise they will shoot themselves in the foot, every time. Whether Saleh being fired is the right or wrong call, how this early season has been handled is proof positive why, without ownership and culture change, people are right to assume they are the same old Jets.
Not going to lie, I think the giants aren’t that bad. They weren’t ready for the thunder week 1 and have had that looming over their head the whole season so far
Rams don’t need a rebuild offensively besides to trade cooper kupp brody kyren and puka r fire players they jus need a better more younger qb and a better over all defense that’s it and it could take years to accomplish all of these
I remember people clowned Washington for taking jaden over maye lol turns out he's the best rookie qb & maye not even good enough to take the job from a bad vet who had the pats offense looking Bryce young let panthers offense levels of bad
Also also, while I admit I was wrong in thinking the Steelers and Vikings were on the same level, I still say you have to be a homer to trust Sam Darnold and think he's leading them to a Super Bowl lol; you'd think a long time Vikings fan would know better than to get their hopes up about such things when the "journeyman ugly duckling QB turns into a swan" story literally never works for them outside of the regular season. Dude's been playing ahead all season; let's see how he looks when he doesn't have the advantage of an early lead and actually has to bring his team back, like he likely would in the playoffs, before we say this guy who was a draft bust 3 seconds ago is magically a Super Bowl-caliber QB now because he won some games early in the season.
Within the Vikings part I clarified Flores was on the thumbnail for that exact reason lol I think MN is a division round exit atm but I think they have a Super Bowl caliber defense

Didn't happen here
@@topazyates the arthur smith system is what i described. Be efficient, keep possession, dont turn the ball over. They werent efficient and didnt keep the ball. The offense is to blame. The defense got 3 turnovers and we had a FG block. They cannot be asked to do more than that. They even caused a fumble at the goal line that sadly Dak fell on. They did so much already
@@nigielschroeder3510 author smith never had an efficient offense in his life. With far better pieces than we have now. We are a defensive team. Our salary cap shows it. If the offense gets the lead then they have to hold it.
@@topazyates arthur smith has had an efficient offense. In Tennessee he had them at 13th and 2nd in points per drive. They were 1st and 2nd in red zone percentage.
The strong will fall and the weak will rise, that's life. Good teams from previous seasons will not be good enough for the once weaker teams that are now playing their way to the top.
So many people give QBs too much credit for wins, or blame for losses. Bengals should be resounding proof that this shouldnt be the case. Burrow is playing outta his mind. He's not the problem in Cincinnati
The Steelers biggest mistake was hiring Arthur Smith, you can pin this on George ! His offensive schemes are predictable AF
You're missing the biggest problem with the Steelers - Mike Tomlin
@@DerricsRevenge 100% but people for SOME reason just avoid it. 🤷
Please expound further
@@storiestotell who, me? Well name another coach in the NFL that has spent 17 seasons with a team and has largely avoided scrutiny for his failures.
Mike Tomlin is a problem, no question, but i think the reason Steelers kept him is because the owner/front office just want to play safe in regards to HC.
Being just above 0.500 every season is average at best. Yet Tomlin does give them 0.500+.
Vikings are the biggest surprise of the season. Wow. Great vid. 🐻⬇️
Pittsburgh needs Munchak back to coach the offensive line.
Sorry. They're done.
Trending in the right direction after the past few years, though.
i just dont think the steelers use najee right. he has potential but he gotta jump on the derrick henry train in order to be good.
In defense of zac taylor, he did call a pass on one of those last 3 plays, but joe burrow audibled out of it.
New to the channel. You look like a baller! How many years or organized tackle football have you played?
Flores, I hope gets another job as a Head coach , he got screwed by the Miami's useless owner and idiot GM , and as a life long Dolphins fan, I was beyond annoyed when they let him go, and frankly I am more than content to watch the team burn at this point, they did it to themselves.
And by a Tua who's as fragile as his head
What if the Steelers trade Pickens and a 3rd for Davante and a 5th?🤔
best recent steelers game was aginst cincy last year when rudolph and pcikens went crazy
I don’t buy the Vikings for one second. Their defense will get more and more figured out as the year goes by and while Darnold has been solid he has shown some of his old failings in the past couple games. Receiving core is crazy good still and Jones still has got it (when healthy)
Your camera's audio being out of sync drove me crazy lol
@footballanalysis1 is the music in the background by any chance from the SNES game Warlock?
Vikings and Super Bowl are an antonym.
Kinda crazy how najee went from a quality back to one of the worst starters in the league guy lacks vision
It’s funny you highlight James Daniels as the lone bright spot on the Steelers given that he tore his Achilles. We are so fucked it isn’t even funny
One of my fav youtubers, nobody else uploads this regularly while being genuinely knowledgeable of the league
Thank you James I am glad you enjoy!!
The Bengals are not coping well with the fact that it isn't 2022. The Bengals are competing with the Browns for worst in the North.
vikings in the superbowl will be a sight to behold,my pick is they gonna win it,they have phenomenal season so far
Broncos best defense conversation needs to heat up
If I’m the Rams if the Panthers do get a QB in the upcoming draft I would try to trade for Bryce Young and see if McVay can fix him and he can possibly be the QB of the future as he sits behind Stafford for two years
steelers will have 9-8 record dw
The Justin Fields hate is insane he is a great qb although your right he’s not a top 3 qb in his conference but he could win you games with good offensive support like a wr or two that isn’t a diva and a run game to work well with HIS running ability bc in last weeks game at least he was gaining some good yards with his feet
Joe Burrow is playing like an mvp but the defense is bad bad
Anyone else getting the same awful ad of some dude gambling and screaming OMG over and over
Ya know, the Steelers backup is a Top 10 ALL TIME statistical NFL future Hall of Fame quarterback….
Right?
And he was supposed to be the starter. Just sayin’
I don't see how Russ would make this offense better when they're as injured as they are; he's not staying healthy behind that line.
It's time for Mike Tomlin's coaching to be questioned!!
Love your videos, keep up the great work. Go Packers!
as a bengals fan i'm tired of seeing great players come and go. when they let bates go i was fuming. browns tight wallet and approach has cost this team championship level success. he doesn't gamble and he doesn't win he just relies on rookies to fill the gaps and hope they play well enough. when it comes time to pay great players he looks to trade. cheap ass owner.
I enjoy your videos brother, always good content. But the way you speak drives me nuts for some reason😂
In what way lol
Also thank you!
Great video
Came back from the London Viks game, two days later Jets fire Robert Saleh......dang, what did we do to em?
Nothing that everyone else the last 3 seasons already haven't lol.
@@SteelerFanInRI That's fair, this is my fourth season getting into the sport, like dang
As a bengals fan should i start evaluation season?
Jets firing their HC was the best decision made by any team of 2024 so far.
Anyone who argues with the great bug-eyed has-been gets fired.
Yes choosing a 40 y/o washed up QB is always a good route to take...
Next thing to do is for Aaron Rodgers to forfeit the rest of his salary and retire so the Jets will recoup it and use to refuel both sides of the ball
Something about the steelers having receivers with attitudes
I feel like Aaron Donald quite literally could win the Rams four games by himself a year. Him being gone has left a massive hole.
Pittsburgh seems to always have a receiver that's unprofessional in one way or another...
A great Video 👌
Mahomes made it to an AFC championship game with the 31st ranked defense.
Tell me again how Burrow is anywhere near Mahomes’ level?
Not going to lie, I think the giants aren’t that bad. They weren’t ready for the thunder week 1 and have had that looming over their head the whole season so far
Saying Fields has EVER been on Mahomes or Allens level is insane
Please point to where I said that lol
11:20 - You didn’t outright say he was… but you inferred that he’s been there at some point in his career. Or at least that what it sounded like to me
Steelers fan I don't think we are done but these past two games were trash yes but I think we are still a team that can compete
steelers are still in it
Come to LA Saleh. Just don't go back to the 49ers.
I honestly never saw the hype with George Pickens.
Rams don’t need a rebuild offensively besides to trade cooper kupp brody kyren and puka r fire players they jus need a better more younger qb and a better over all defense that’s it and it could take years to accomplish all of these
when are the rookie rankings vidoes coming out?
James Daniels tore his Achilles in the colts game
Within the Vikings part I clarified Flores was on the thumbnail for that exact reason lol
I think MN is a division round exit atm but I think they have a Super Bowl caliber defense
Pickens was a clown in college and remains a clown in the NFL
Steelers went out and got two QBs who can't throw consistently. They are 3-2 bcoz of their defense and Tomlin only
And because a weak schedule so far
@@masonr5677weak schedule? Every team Steelers have played are now above 500 except for the colts. So 4 out of the 5. On top of that, chargers and falcons played the chiefs. So yeah, they’ve beaten good teams
What? The defense was terrible against Indy; they literally let the Colts walk down the field to open the game, so to pin that loss on the offense makes no sense when they were on the back foot immediately.
@@SteelerFanInRI not pinning that loss on shit. Just said they were the worst team we have played this year.
Steelers are Poverty if they keep Tomlin
