I'm sad Mirny is gone, not only was it a fun game mode with a nice reward (did nightmare with randoms lol), one of the most wholesome moments I've ever had playing WoT was when our Double wasn't going to reach Magnus in time, so I drove over to them, and pushed them with the boost and reached Magnus seconds before the timer ran out. The entire team was going crazy in chat with how much they love me lol. Also, I only play WoT during events because randoms are just not really fun anymore.
yep random battles is so frustrating, same pay to win real money tanks on one team while only one team is composed of bots. frontline and mirney are the only good modes in this pay to win game
If you manage to kill all bots and you have enought mirium (preferably 150-300) you can merge with boss and damage him on sides. It can be pulled of and it saves runs when you are left alone and have very little health. I managed to pull it of like 5 times on nightmare difficult, so it can be used
About the perks, its not random, each tank gets 2 defined paths and of 4 perks, and the paths are defined randomly but its always the same set of perks (and also one tends to be shit and the other very good)
IDK if this video was made about the MIRNY event a year ago, or now. But i'd definietly argue that Malachite is better than Ceberus. You don't really need gun depression in this mod, and with the reload perk, Malachite has way better dpm against the boss. Also can bounce shots, which makes it's effective HP a lot bigger. I don't know what else specific to say, but i've constantly found myself on the top of the leaderboard with Malachite, while i struggled with Ceberus. It just felt so much smoother and better. Grenadier... That's way less useful for the boss fight than Malachite, and yes, it can oneshot tanks before boss fight, but those phases aren't really a challenge.
You could have talked about the full hornet strategy. Although difficult with randoms, you can litterally burst the boss before the bots start spawning. Even works in Nightmare
One tactic I used was to use the Cerberus as bait against the Hedgehogs. It has an absurdly low cooldown, so it's easy to take out a platoon of those things. When they are very close, the shield is activated and you will come out of that alive, and with a lot of free Mirium without having done much. The repairs (normal and team ones) as well as the shield are non-negotiable for me; Assume that your team is bad, so equip your tank as if you were alone. If you know how to do it, command, normally 3 campaments are required, in addition to the magnus (with this one it would be 4 in total) to fill the Magnus. The first two phases can be risked and can take one more camp, to make the third phase easier. I also have my doubts about the Double, since it can kill a tank, hopefully two from each group of bots (in the first phases), but it has such a low DPM that I don't think it's worth it, since in the last phase DPM is very important. Also, if you end up alive at the end and are the last one, having the RNG do its thing and you miss a shot and not have the time to reload the round of almost 10 seconds is shit. The ideal is to have a team made up only of Malachites and Cerberus. Another thing is that it's easy to use auto-aim against almost anything, especially Hedgehogs, since they usually run in a straight line towards you, they won't avoid the shot, and both normal and alpha hedgehogs are killed by one shot. In most cases it is not worth looking for the bots' weak points. Regarding skills, each tank will have two groups of skills. The reason the Malachite and Cerberus are very interesting in this mode is because they have the highest actual DPM. There are times when the Malachite gets the mobility improvement group at the beginning (it's the worst), but if it hits the "ceramic core" it can be used quite aggressively, having the alpha damage of a Legio Ferrata, but with a recharges at the end of about 4.5s (which is not bad at all, since it is the base recharge of the Cerberus). I played this mode as a sick person lmao; I got four Obsidians (in my account, my secondary account and those of two friends who couldn't enter the mode), that's why I know these things
In my opinion malachite is the best tank and I had a really nice moment when fighting Martin Novak. Anyways when his rocket boost runs out he stops for like 5 seconds and I managed to load he + activate boosted reload and solo kill him even though he was at around 4k hp in those 5 seconds. I hope wg brings back mirny bc it is for me the best mode ever
Our platoon takes a different tactic to killing the nightmare boss. Take 5* T-54 all taking the fast cyclic reload perk. When the boss summons the AOE circles, there's a brief moment that he stops moving entirely. All 5 tanks on rampage penetrating all the shots kills the boss within seconds.
Managed to beat Nightmare with randoms, it took very many games and we got close several times but I finally managed to get it once. Several times my teams were so bad that we didn't even get past the first phase, that was rather annoying for me. I also had my best games with the Hornet and Malachite, the other tanks were too slow for me and I didn't play the Grenadier properly. Anywho I enjoyed playing the hornet bc it was fast enough to avoid the hedgehogs and it also had a big enough clip to take out an entire group. That was important bc most randoms I played with seemed to not know how to properly handle them, so I always was watching for them during boss fights to I could take them out myself. The HE rounds were also pretty decent, causing 400-500 damage per shot, so a single clip was able to cause at least 2000 damage.
As a gamemode expert myself, I agree with all the points made in this video apart from 2 of them i have to disagree with, plus one that needs more explaining. First are the tanks. Chems mentioned the Legio Ferrata and Hornet being underpowered, which I agree with ; as well as the Grenadier being only efficient against bots and somewhat situational. However, I would argue that the Double is in a similar spot to the Grenadier in that regard (the Legio as well, but it sucks anyway, so nobody cares); having a slow or immobile tank in the bossfight phase is a death sentence, hence why I belive the double to not be a great choice for nightmare difficulty. Now yes, it has high firepower, being capable of nuking even the toughest of bots, enough health to soak up the hits, and enough armor to block HE shells. However, it is slower ; I have by the past been RAMMED to death by the BOSS due to that or a track breaking unexpectedly. I do believe having more mobility and a lot of group heals is better than more health and armor. I would also argue that the Malachite is better than the Cerberus for 2 reasons. 1. It is smaller, thus harder to hit and has some hull armor, capable of blocking HE more consistantly than the Cerberus. 2. Chems omitted a very important fact regarding the Malachite. It is fully immuned to critical hits. Meaning its tracks (or any other modules) are never broken and always fully working. Trust me, in my experience, this is a game changer ; the malachite is the single most consistant and reliable tank for nightmare difficulty. Second is the Corrupted. There are 4 types of them (Lost platoons do not count), Cerberus, Hornet Legio, and Malachite. Legios are the lowest priority simply because they suck. Malachite are also not much of a problem. In my humble opinion, I would say that Hornets are NOT the highest priority targets, but that Cerberi are. While Hornets will put you on fire every shot which is still very dangerous, Cerberi have such a high DPM they can melt your tank's HP from afar in mere seconds. I find them more dangerous because of that. Third and final point, Consumables. Firstly, just know that all 3 "radius" abilities (namely Pyrokinesis, Energy Strike and Lifesteal) are utterly useless. You should never waste a slot for these. Invisibility is also useless, especially when compared to Energy Shield ; the shield does everything better, basically. Shield is a decent choice for light tanks to soak up Hedgehogs for your team. Every tank should always have BOTH heals equipped, as Chems has already mentioned, plus the corresponding quick reload ability. This is the best loadout for most situations. Conclusion. This video guide is great, both for new players and for veterans looking for a refresher. I'm looking forward to playing Mirny again next year, and I sure hope this video (and hopefully this comment) will find its way to the ears for the masses for them to enjoy the game mode at its fullest. One time the game glitched and no enemies spawned. There was only me and my teammates, which would just jump off and die, because there was nothing to do. There was also no timer, which meant that we could just drive around infinitly. After a few minutes I was left alone and I must say it was the scariest moment I had in my 7 years of playing world of tanks. At least i took some cool screenshots :)
The annoying part of the nightmare is playing in randoms, there will always be that one guy who yolos in or just focuses the Immortal half the game until everyone else is dead.
This year's Mirny was my favorite, despite the questionable teammates that loved going on solo adventures and dying on the other side of the map and activating almost every bot nest on the map- *deep breath* Getting the Obsidian was a nice bonus, a usable version of the boss' tank, though. RIP to this mode, may it return someday.
you should do a new video on this, the 2024 mirny or "Project Babylon", is somewhat significantly diffrent Key Differences which i find most noticeable -Battle Pass Style progression -The division of team and personal mirium -Abilities have no cooldown, with the downside of needing mirium to be used -Cant lose mirium Minor Diffrences -Map is from steel hunter (gj wg)

If I might add A group of coordinated Hornets or Grenadiers can absolutely demolish the boss with shield, insta reload and the special ammo stocked up, you can just take turns, drive up close to the Immortal, activate shield and unload all you have It's a strat for a coordinated group tho so...
Is Mirny even coming back? wasn't this last one supposed to wrap it up? The story of it seemed to do that. Although it would be cool if Mirium and corruption started popping up in other parts of the world, and we got multiple other maps to play on. I feel like corrupted Highway would be insane.
and tbh for team lineup,best just use full malachite,u guy will all be on sync,no one left behind which really important for co-op teamwork,and well it easily the most survivable cuz it can dodge hedgehod and travel around quickly while having good armor and overall uh decent gun,the hedgehog on nightmare will be hella lot so yeah.
Malachite is the best in my opinion... Three decent players in them is all you need to beat Nightmare... Fourth tank can help with the boss and the fifth one can be disconnected. Edit: Grenadier is OP when you have one or two of them (not more). I did it with random people 20/53 times. (And more with a platoon.) Edit 2: 3:10 If you are struggling you can listen to Chems, but in my opinion double-barreled tanks are too slow and kind of boring. (If you are playing without a platoon too SLOW) Edit 3: 4:00 I just clicked where to go. Usually it worked, but for the times that it didn't I went where more of our tanks were. Edit 4: 8:20 (I'm not recommending it, if bots are still alive, but) You can shot the boss for 300+ with a Granadier. Edit 5: 17:45 :o
If you are playing with friends you can actually insta double clip the boss with grenadier using heat even on nightmare but all of you have to pen your shots
Can't agree with you on the tanks. Malachite is better than cerberus in most aspects and its shortcomings don't balance it out for me. Hornet can also be useful if you're playing with friends and need something to clip hedgehogs.
I actually thought the bots spawned continuously till u kill the boss but ig i was wrong. And damn if u do kill all the bots the fight rly looks trivial

u forgot to mention the other ammo type in the video. idk if anyone crazy/sweaty enough to try this (they'll prolly have to do a 5 man platoon for this shit to work) so this is just pure speculation, but i strongly believe that it's possible to just speedrun Nightmare boss and disregard adds completely like you would in Normal and Hard - only IF your whole team don't die in the previous 3 phases AND save all of ur HEAT rounds for the final battle.
he is talking about the thing that your enemies spawn in around a camp, not exist around it - so when you spawn in, ir summon a camp, a small wave of additional enemies can spawn too
Best tank Cerberus by far best thing u can get is more fires. Why is cerberus good it lacks alpha dmg sure not as armoured and fast as Malachite and no alpha but it has best gun to deal with hedghogs. Why beacuse dpm u dont need to use reload like Malachite to deal with them and same as hornet due to autoloader if u miss 1 u will need autoreload to deal with them. U can use the blue energy beam on heavy tanks to nuke enemies as well whille healing. I said it best is Cerberus as long as u can get extra fire if not Malachite is good choice. I had eaziset Nightmare doing 5 cerberuses then 5 malachites. Heavy tanks are bad vs him due to lack of dpm and well mobillity hedghogs will ruin ur day

Idk why but nightmare mode seemed a bit easier than the previous difficulty, the one with the M103 just because of all the enemies that he spawned compared to the obsidian, yes he spawned stronger enemy but like 4-8 at most. Am I the only one?
tbh malachite is more or less better than ceberus for most,much better mobility allowing u to be much more responsive,much better armor,depression may not be as good but in mirny it doesnt matter,the tank is much more survivable than cerberus

I couldnt beat the Martin Novak boss soo i had to get 130 of those encrpytors it was indeed a nightmare....

u forgot to mention the other ammo type in the video. idk if anyone crazy/sweaty enough to try this (they'll prolly have to do a 5 man platoon for this shit to work) so this is just pure speculation, but i strongly believe that it's possible to just speedrun Nightmare boss and disregard adds completely like you would in Normal and Hard - only IF your whole team don't die in the previous 3 phases AND save all of ur HEAT rounds for the final battle.
This gamemode is one of the best, for me

he is talking about the thing that your enemies spawn in around a camp, not exist around it - so when you spawn in, ir summon a camp, a small wave of additional enemies can spawn too

Best tank Cerberus by far best thing u can get is more fires. Why is cerberus good it lacks alpha dmg sure not as armoured and fast as Malachite and no alpha but it has best gun to deal with hedghogs. Why beacuse dpm u dont need to use reload like Malachite to deal with them and same as hornet due to autoloader if u miss 1 u will need autoreload to deal with them. U can use the blue energy beam on heavy tanks to nuke enemies as well whille healing. I said it best is Cerberus as long as u can get extra fire if not Malachite is good choice. I had eaziset Nightmare doing 5 cerberuses then 5 malachites. Heavy tanks are bad vs him due to lack of dpm and well mobillity hedghogs will ruin ur day
Man i love this mode saddly it wont be another part of it but it was lot of fun and Prizes were good too Free premium tank that remindes me of this mode and i can make credits with it thats super good especially for me becose im F2P :3
Idk why but nightmare mode seemed a bit easier than the previous difficulty, the one with the M103 just because of all the enemies that he spawned compared to the obsidian, yes he spawned stronger enemy but like 4-8 at most.

tbh malachite is more or less better than ceberus for most,much better mobility allowing u to be much more responsive,much better armor,depression may not be as good but in mirny it doesnt matter,the tank is much more survivable than cerberus
