The Mercedes S Class is the brand's flagship, so it makes sense that the 2010 S63 AMG isn't very loud. Of course, the Mercedes S63 is fast but most importantly, the car continues to be unbelievably quiet, even compared to today's luxury cars.

I like this era of German cars because
They all look the same now. You were to be able to tell the difference between a 3/5/7 series or E/S/C class from a glance and also i think they have too much tech now and compared to the really older ones a 2003 a6 for example is the same size as a new a4 or a old e class is now the same size as the new c class they keep getting bigger and the quality isn’t the same like from the pre 2000s
Na v8, quad exhaust pipes, 4 doors, s class, vertical badge, definitely a classic
I know I love the design so much very timeless

2010 was a great year. First year of the 221 Facelift and last year of the M156 6.2 V8.
Love the facelift w221 just wish the interior was better. My dream car would be a w221 with a w222 designó interior.

I miss the days when Mercedes-AMG built this N/A, handcrafted 6.2L V8. It was during that time when German manufacturers were just putting in insane V8s, V10s, and V12s in their engines. I mean the E90 M3 during this time had a 4.0L N/A V8, the Audi RS 4 and RS 5 during this time had that 4.2L N/A V8, the Audi RS 6 during this time had a 5.0L twin-turbo Lamborghini-derived V10, the E60 M5 had a 5.0L N/A V10~~ Just some crazy things that these Germans did :D
I'm not into the large sedans but the S-Class is a good looking ride. The right wheels really would make a statement!!!

You're so right about that, the right wheels really on any car set it off. Oh man still got the trackhawk that is sick. We are currently selling our dad's tundra under consignment at Cary Imports but idk there seems to be a lot of demand for Mopar right now so even a dealership might give you top dollar for your Trackhawk

Absolutely love the S class. I strongly recommend saying a little prayer before each drive. If the check engine light come on it’s 3k +, regardless of the issue. 3k+!!!!!!!! Also immediately start putting money aside for pneumatic air suspension because trust me it’s going out soon.
Yes, the air suspension on German flag ship sedans. 2k+ for repair.
Very attractive priced was thinking about this before getting my LS460L w/ Touring Package. It was like $19k with 120k miles and I thought man I just can’t gonna cost me more down the road need something reliable but still the car is badass

I've seen a few with more than 170,000 miles I would say get it if you can wrench yourself and can find a good independent shop and get low miles, regardless if you are gonna take it to the dealer every time something pops up dont buy it the cost can get up there

Hey, first of all, absolutely loved the video! I have a question if you could answer, which would be great since I am very close on buying this vehicle. I have found S63 amg 2011 model with 66,000km (41,000miles) for 3.1million yen (27,000$). I have looked at the inspection paper done by a professional, and there has not been any major maintenance with the car, but has some scratches (scratches in the painting which are not visible in naked eye) and minor bumps (idk what he means by this, but from looking the pic, which are very HD, I don’t see any bumps) according to the inspector. Now the main question I want to know is whether to buy it? Do you think the price they are asking is reasonable and if I buy it, will I face major maintenance problems, like ones that would cost me over 1000$ in a single fix? Also, you said this car is not reliable, would you tell me why? If you want the link of the car, please reply to my comment and I will send it through here. Thanks 🙏
Update: it looks like there has been a left front wheel bumper change. Other than that, no other major problems like engine problems… and forgot to mention, it has 3000km or 3 months warranty if I buy the vehicle. Do you recommend it?
Tbh if you changed out the lights and put some updated led ones some people wouldnt notice that it was old (non car people)

According to remove before race the new cars will still be V8 but they will be hybrid V8. It may not be the sound you guys want but from his video it looks like the actual performance of the car will be insane if I understand how the new C63 works correctly from his video. The new "Big" cars, of course the C63 is a 4 cylinder hybrid.

@@MeynMotorGroup that dude has literally TV production level quality videos in my opinion(good enough for me). If you are a legitimate TV show with all of those expenses associated with it trying to compete with UA-camrs that can do video editing at that level, it's not even worth trying to compete anymore. UA-cam essentially kills off those guys.
He's got some good videos for sure but I'm also sure you can appreciate his stuff from a creators perspective as well. It's definitely different than TFL, throttle house or the straight pipes.
Yea I def agree I love his production style and quality, it's been awhile since I watched one of his vids, but granted I don't watch many car reviews anymore as a whole 😅
Throttle House also has pretty incredible production quality as well near top gear levels, UA-camrs have come a long way 😆and I have a very long saggy way to go

Yea all these flagship euro cars are worthless after like 5 years. Especially when a new model comes out the rich just go for that making the old car very undesirable. Not to mention the catastrophic repair bills. Always need a big fat warranty on these

unfortunately. such a beautiful design in and out. vehicle like this one. lacks reliability. thank you for reviewing it . I have to add prober warrantee is another challenging task. most of them in the market they don't deliver what they promise the consumer . I always google them this automotive warranty business. has a very bad reputation . I don't know who to believe anymore when it come to that!!

Remember the times you looked at the Benz and see those fat hips and instantaneously know thats an AMG? This is it paired with my favorite mercedes engine of all time ,you said it was quite inside but the camera capture well enough that symphony and i dont believe the engine is the weakest link here i believe the real problems come with the trans and the ABC system but yeah get a warranty pls
Engine is a gem 💎 😂 transmission isn't a let down in Auto mode only when playing with paddles. Engine isn't super loud just a nice grumble which I like
@@MeynMotorGroup i was talking about the reliability of the gearbox not really the performance but i know nothing about that . maybe in a c63 that engine makes himself sound louder if not just straight pipe it :D

@@MeynMotorGroup Being flagship doesnt mean it can brake down all the time ,it should be the oposite having a car that never lets you down on the side of the road is a massive luxury imo. You had a LS460 and now you own a LC500 those are perfect examples were luxury and reliability can coexist
