Can you make interchangeable panels? So you could do a fall look and a Halloween look? Maybe even a holiday one? I just love your channel btw…I swear you could make paint drying interesting, lol ☺️
Thanks kathy!!! I no i did too. I was so torn between clear and orange. But i just ordered purple. Lmfao. Ill post what that looks like when the bulbs come in. 🖤
@@MakenzieHallie Haha! I know, I was too, the orange looks amazing, but the clear is just WOW! I can’t believe you found this lantern and what you made with it is so awesome! I want one too!
you could maybe rotate the bats a little bit so that the tip of the wing covers the base of the lamp and the other one the lamp itself. And the pumpkins could have some green vines around them that reach out to the bottom as well. its probably harder to achieve that but in my head at least it looks cool.
Great fun video. Kind of partial to the clear or the orange. Orange screams Halloween but from the photos it looks like the red bulb kind of drowns out the color. You should post some photos of all the Halloween decorations. You have a flair for it!!
Nice job, as always. I like that you kept it simple but still make a statement that embraces Halloween. This would be fun to do on all the exposed light fixtures on the house. Keep 'em coming!
I like the orange or clear. Red’s my last choice but which ever you use it looks fantastic! Your work is excellent as usual! Brings a vibe of something from Nightmare Before Christmas. I look forward to all your videos.
Wow! Awesome job Makenzie as usual. On a sad note there was a fire in the Beveled Edge studio that Marlene Seavey owns. A ballast from a flouresent light caught fire. About 35-40% damage to the studio. Waiting for insurance etc, we will be helping her with remodeling,
@@MakenzieHallie Thanks Makenzie I appreciate that. It’s going to be a while, the insurance company as you probably know take their time when it comes to claims. It happened on a Saturday morning class that she had. She was not there when it happened, her friend was helping out with classes that day , the sad part about it is there was no fire extinguisher in the studio! That would have taken care of the problem right away. When I first heard about it I thought maybe someone had a soldering iron that ignited something, but that wasn’t the case. The fire department came and they used a chemical to extinguish the electrical fire because you cannot use water on electrical. The chemical itself has left a nasty odor in the studio, plus they destroyed both her light tables, those were custom made with expensive glass. And a lot of a mess.
Oh man. Horrible horrible news. I really hope not having a fire extinguisher messes with the insurance company. I have a gut feeling they will try to get around paying anything because of that. Im glad everyone is ok.
That came out great! If it takes a standard bulb you could get a color changing one or one of the firs flicker ones. Quick question I was at Michael's the other day and saw that they had stained glass kits. Any chance you would do a review of one of them?
I can absolutely do that. I had no idea. Like actual stained glass?! Ill look online and check in store first thing in the morning. And its one of those mini bulbs.
@@MakenzieHallie awesome thanks! Yeah the one in Northboro got rid of their cosplay section and had a whole section of stained glass kits to make sun catchers. I'd be interested to see if they're worth it and how easy they are for beginners.
I think you said or maybe I didn't hear correctly that you used 1/4" foil rather then 7/32"? The lantern turned out so darn cute! I wish we all could find one as well. Maybe make one out of pvc pipe. Anyway, it's adorable. Big fan from Washington State 😃 🌲🌲🌲
The lantern looks fantastic! The clear irridescent part of the spider web pattern... how did you grind those acute angles with the standard grinder (and how would you cut those out by hand without using a ring saw)? I couldn't tell from the video - did you use some extremely thin grinding bit?
I’m a little late to the game but could you do a video on the differences between liquid lead, enamel paint and glass paint, what each looks like and what scenarios you’d use each one for?
That's funny, I was looking at a lantern I have and was stuck for a min (a week) because my lantern isn't metal, it's plastic. So, I can't bend the flaps down. Also I would have to use thinner glass... Any thoughts on what size?! The glass I have is way to wide to make panels. 😔 Thank you! And I loved the video! ❤️
It’s homestly been a few months since I caught up on your videos! I’m excited to see this project take shape! I Do have one question, how well does chapstick compare to Mark Stay II for keeping pattern sharpie marks on during grinding?
Well welcome back Dawn! And no idea, never heard of it or used it. I will however say if you use chapstick, those lines arent budging. But i can buy some mark stay 2 and put em to the test!
@@MakenzieHallie sorry just the firs thing that popped into my head was to put the ghost faces on the inside of the lamp so they shine through when the light is on? the work is amazing tho!
Is their any paint that I could use after I soldiering. I make hello kitty night light and I like making the whisker all the way to the edge of the soldier. I tried using paint pens but they all washed off even oil pens
Hermoso trabajo!!!!
Siempre impecable, y con una creatividad infinita!!!! Gracias!❤
¡Muchas gracias! Me alegra mucho que hayas disfrutado el vídeo. ¡¡Gracias por ver!! 🖤🖤🖤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Red bulb for sure ! :) cool project
Orange bulb looks great!
Too cute. Beautiful job
Thanks Sylvia! 🖤
Your fab! ❤
ohmygosh! I love this! So adorable!
Very cool, I think I prefer the orange cause it looks a little spooking than the clear :)
Orange 🧡
Agreed. I think.
That came out so stinking cute 😍 luv it
Great work as always! I’m partial to the clear bulb but all look awesome.

Adorable!

You are sooo creative and talented! Such a beautiful lantern! 💜😻💜 I like the regular bulb or the orange.

Thanks Tammy!!! I think i do too!!
very cool!! Wonder if the lamp could be made
Of coarse it could!
So dope! Maybe a green bulb?
I love your channel!! The lantern turned out awesome!! It would also look great with a haunted house and the ghost as well.
That would be so awesome!!! 🔥 🖤🎃
That turned out beautifully! I like the regular clear bulb; the iridescent glass stands out the best! Thank you for the video as always. :-)
Totally agree, it does stand out the best with the clear. Im so torn between clear and orange lol!!!

Can also use copper foil overlay to make your web lines so you wouldn't need to cut the small shapes!

Oh i definitely will!! And agreed. The red looks cool, but only when its like pitch black out.
What would a black light bulb look like? What a fun find! Look great!
Im not sure but i can get one and find out!!! Lol!!
Your videos are still my favorite to watch ❤️

Absolutely. I think that bold, simple look worked out so well for that cute classic halloween vibe.
Awesome job. I love the after look. Enjoyed this episode. Try a color changing bulb. That might look good.
Thank you so much Edythe!! And that's an awesome idea!

Did I understand that you baked your glass after painting with the foil on? If so why didn’t the foil adhesive soften and degrade?
