    Wow, great video on the whole process of stained glass process. Iam just at the stage to make my stencil for my Lotus stained glass project. Thanks for the great tips that are so helpful for newbie’s like me. I took a stained glass class 25 years ago and needed a refresher, now Iam retired and have time for this wonderful craft. 🥰🕉🙏

    Really enjoying your style and sensibility approaching each step! You are inspiring me to get back into the hobby. Have you tried using rubber cement to adhere pattern pieces to the glass? I like using it to keep pieces nice and tight on the glass and it comes off easily. Thank you for living your craft!!!

    Hi again, I forgot to tell you when I need to laminate something I use clear shelf liner paper. It has a nice large surface to work with and you can find the clear shelf liner at any Home store like Walmart or Home Depot. Happy staining M. 🥰🕉🙏

    about a years ago I spent about a grand on supplies and never started... Maybe I'll give it a go. Kenny Chesney has a video " there goes my life" in that video there is a glass panel that I want to make. its all square so should kill me. Its gonna be a n Xmas gift for my daughter...... as she is my life.... the video says it all. Makenzie you are gorgeous!! I have seen a ton of your videos and your eyes in the beginning of this vid are stunning! I'm gonna document my progress would love your feedback on my first project when I get to it..... thanks for doing these vids. if you are ever in Jersey give a shout!

    Hi Makenzie, I love watching your videos, I learn alot. I saw something that might interest you, I saw someone grinding glass and they put a 10 gallon aquarium on its side and put the grinder inside so they don't have water and glass flying everywhere. Although I've never tried it, I thought it might be a good idea

    Great overview! I would love for you to make a more complex project with lots of small pieces. I have trouble with the spacing between pieces before they are foiled and cutting them to allow the correct spacing. I find foil scissors to be inconsistent. Thanks.

    "dont copy my designs" 🙈😁 this style is exactly what inspired this little witch here. 🙈🖤🌙⭐🔮
    Anyway. My first asignment was nipping a " keyhole" and try to leave the glass in one piece...( It broke into five) then i had to fill in the hole, so I came up with a scrying sphere. Now i hope i can finish it before summer🤞🏻 íf classes will continue at all.

    I never would have thought to do the stencil this way, I really thought I was going to need to buy an iPad with procreate to draw symmetrically lol. Thank you for sharing!

      😶.....welllll lol. That is what I do now. It's a whole lot more accurate and quick. But I did stencils by hand for years first!

      Absolutely. If I'm not doing something crazy, doing it by hand can be easier still. I am HORRIBLE at drawing. Lol. And I think the years of making my stencils by hand, is what even allows me to use procreate now. You know what I mean? I had to do it by hand first.

    Hey Makenzie! Thanks for another great, informative video. I have an issue when it comes to grinding. I am new to stained glass and therefore usually end up with things that needs to be ground but the sharpie keeps getting washed away by the water of the grinder. Any suggestions? Thanks!

      I did not foil the moon. Now, for the sake of retaining information I'm not going to tell you. What I will tell you is that there are only certain types of metal that can be/take to solder. What are those?

    You are the best! Other videos I've seen, they use special scissors for cutting patterns. Do you need to use pattern scissors (personally I find them to be a bit of a pain in the a$$) to make your pattern fit?

      Its totally up to you! Just like every art, its what works best for you. If I was ever to use someone else's stencil and not my own, I would most likely use foil shears.

    Is there any reason to have foil scissors? A few other videos recommended them but I don't want to buy a useless item. Is there a situation where they are handy?

      I have a pair but don't think I have ever used them 1 single time! I would say its absolutely not necessary in my opinion.

    Question, looks like you do not use copper foil scissors? I hate them, They seem to make bad cuts. Am I correct? Love your teaching style! Just getting back to glass after 15 years.
