Yep. You're spot-on about the amount of money these women extract - they make a trained doctor or Police chief look like a pauper. I'm more inclined to give money to an old person with no legs than a bar girl.
that is actually true. a thai lady doctor GP friend makes 45-50,000 per month and the workload and hours is excessive (can be 80 hours/week or more) at a provincial 24/7 facility with ER and some floor beds she is also responsible for. salaries are higher in private hospitals but as a GP (did not do a residency in a specialty) her options are limited. maybe she should look into a go go bar LOL as she is not half bad looking.

Can confirm Daz statements 100%. My "best friend", who I only meet on her days off, earns as "SuperModelGold" at least 150 up to 200k baht/month. But when we are together I have to pay for everything and she whines that she has no money. Very nice story, Daz.

some do invite and pickup the tab but they typically want to hang out and drink at other go go bars or pubs and usually are not familiar with mainstream venues. i used to love the look of horror other bar girls gave her seeing her pay the bill. one used to crash at my condo as it was not far from sukumwit and a lot easier than traveling far to her apartment.

Pattaya for both men and women is the city of dreams. Just like the titanic was the ship of dreams. But if your not careful that dream can turn into a nightmare and cause folks to sink. Im being metaphorical obviously. Good video daz.
That's a nice story, Daz. My 23-year-old freelancer shared a similar experience. It's interesting to note that she's wise enough to realize that Pattaya isn't an ideal place to raise a family, which I agree with. There are too many temptations around, such as the lively bars (every night is Saturday night), adult candy store-like atmosphere, and the lack of gender limitations. In short, Pattaya is like Disneyland for adults, and Line is like Grab if you're hungry for sex... ;-)
Yeah, I guess so. I was There ~In side of Amsterdam~ One Time*. I Walked for ours straight about 11 a to 11 p every night. Never stopped in for Food to eat. Should have Would Have Could have eaten a lot more than I did.
Now only like a Crystal~Miracle from the Sun* I am free of any sexually-communicable disease but something is killing me. *I just walked for hours; sometimes somebody would gesture with her finger for me to Come In*!*
Always stick to the 3 day rule whilst in Pattaya .... Never get that close with soooo many girls around but you are absolutely spot on with what you say .... As the girls say in Patts " Farang Butterfly " 😂
Thank you Daz for another great video. I know that kind of "mother" from my last visit. She scolded my girlfriend while we were together from phone because she thinks my girlfriend did not give enough money to her. I saw everything in my girlfriends phone. I did not give extra money to her because of this but it was very uncomfortable situation for both of us. Then i had to stop seeing her, even though she demanded no extra money from me. There is a saying in Turkish that " look at her mother and see her daughter", so i think it was a good decision for both of us. One other girl said to me that she was very upset and has broken heart after her splitting up with her Thai boyfriend, she had depression and one of her Pattaya bar worker girlfriend said her that she could come to Pattaya and could find a farang boyfriend. She really looked serious about it, I don't know if there is money involved it or not but she looked very sensitive about her situation. She was decent girl, maybe some girl really wants to find foreign boyfriend with the obvious reasons that you told in your previous videos. Hope to return as soon as possible, have a nice day!

That story is one I have seen in the Philippines many, many times and it is a shame but a lot of these families are just trying to do anything to get food on the table! The struggle IS VERY real in South East Asia and it's very difficult to not want to help. Not everyone are scammers but we do have to keep our wits about us and have good common sense. I remember a gogo dancer from Happy a gogo getting married to a German guy who took her back to Europe. He was wealthy and bought her a new car and she was a kept woman. I was back in Pattaya the following year, and there she was, working in Peppermint,🙄 I asked her what happened? Too boring in Germany and missed Pattaya too much🥹 No hope🙄

i know a gogo dancer , she got with a rich man in England , he sorted her visa , brought her over to uk , put her in a nice flat , and gave her 20kgbp to get started in a new life in england ... yep you guessed it she told me he was a bad man and she went straight back to Pattaya and bought a new truck and some land lol ..... i know this because i almost fell for her , we travelled over Thailand and she basically said we was bf gf without even asking lol ... i just played along with it as i was back in the UK and she was good fun to talk to in the evenings on the phone .. i would ask her when are you gonna leave Pattaya as supposedly she hated working there , she kept saying soon ... i just said you you do realize we aint bf gf , we just friends . as i never gave her any money or gifts that was when she realized she coukd never get a penny out of me , and she blocked me on all platforms lmfao .

When I was working in Bangkok in '07 there were a couple of girls in bar-beers who told me what their Western beau was sending them each month from his home country. I got the impression, reading between the lines, that these particular girls just wanted me to say: 'What a cheapskate! I'll pay you double that if you will be my steady lady.' I didn't fall for the trap, although I liked the girls. Some of these hostesses in Patters and Bangers really are wily and are particularly good at reading farangs, even us battle-hardened ones.
Changing the topic: concerning that new arcade you show us at the beginning, Daz, on the corner of Soi 8, it is monikered WE ARE THE WORLD. Presumably, it is replacing the old bar of the same name a 100 yards further north on Beach. I spent many evenings in that place, which was a bit of a barn and had a good happy hour. There used to be listenable live music there as well, catering especially for farangs like me over 60. My guess is that the music in the new arcade is going to be very different.

Rule #1 regarding Thai women: Every meeting is a business transaction; in other words, transact your business at an acceptable price and move on. Rule 2: Never lend or give money for free; no honey, no money! Follow these two basic rules, and your stay in Thailand will be great.
Acceptable prices went out with the pandemic. Now they expect to earn CEO money for selling the same meat pocket to 1,000 different men.

I spent 2 weeks in Pattaya last year, it was great :). And while I absolutely agree with Daz that this is what the girls *attempt* to do, it's puzzling to me how so many men fall for it. I mean, if a girl I met a few hours ago is trying to "be a real friend", I become super-suspicious, without thinking. And even more so if there's financial incentive.
I came to like a few ladies, after having seen and talked with them multiple times in a GC, but that was still miles - or months - from becoming friends... And I was fully aware what they do: day in-day out.
Well to be fair, it sounded like Fah was a keeper, at least until she got screwed over!
There is a difference between the “friendly face” at a bar and being a friend…
Don't get cocky with your radar, the girls know how to play the long game too.

I was doing my tax the other day at my Thai accountants office in Soi Yoksad and she tells me that Far and Noks mum is now working at a well known Jomtien gents club (asked me not to mention the name of the place). Great story. Very true a lot of the Lookers don't need to be bar fined cus they already get so much from LDs and tips. Hence why they quote sky high prices for ST and LTs. Money is everything in Thailand. Remember Cyanide Sarah.
Very funny Daz, I've always thought that these girls families know what they are doing when they come to Pattaya even if they don't talk about it back in the village. I wouldn't be suprised if when they did go back home that the family squeezes every baht out of her that they can.

You make it all so interesting even to people like myself who have lived through this crazy stuff since the early 90’s.
The ending reminded me of a girl who stayed with me back in about 1995 who worked in a bar in Soi 8.
I asked her if her mother didn’t mind her doing naughty things with farangs (and bearing in mind a few girls were going home to die of AIDS back then) to which she replied “No, but she say if I start drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes she very angry me”
As long as money got sent back to Buriram mother was perfectly happy with the naughty goings on. Normal rural Thai way of thinking back in those days when girls as young as 13/14 were sent to work in the bars to send money home.

The clever ones never ask for the money directly. I'm talking to a girl now who I spent time with on my last trip. She says she wants to "change jobs, but needs money to do that." That didn't work so she "got in a small accident," and then "sent too much money home and can't afford food." lol She's like a fisherman, who tries different bait hoping something will work. lol

One way I prevent this scenario. I only have a Smartphone that can connect to free Wi-Fi and that's it. I do NOT have a Phone number So I can not send money or join Line etc.
But it takes good pictures/ I can use maps/ and Email my family and let them know I am good. and safe.

People go to Thailand for affordable massage and sex. No need to get emotionally locked. Far better than spending 300 Dollars an hour than 200 dollars a night.
Great story..I know guys who spend their first week of holiday every night in agogos and spend a fortune on lady drinks and bar fines..they say they are treating themselves and then become skint second week..personally I spend 30 mins in agogos just for a look then move back to bars..I love these girls but you need to be aware it’s all a game and you are on the tab
