We visited Thailand 5 weeks ago and bought the 15 Days AIS unlimited package in the arrival hall. It worked perfect in Bangkok and Koh Samui. We always had 5G.
But 599 Plan doesn't have unlimited but 30G data right? I want unlimited data and hence feels more inclined towards True Move 699 plan but then it won't have as smooth coverage as AIS
I used to always use DTAC (which was good), but I started getting the AIS sim about 4/5 years ago and have found them to be the best without any dropouts throughout Thailand.
Thank you Chon for this video. Yes, I truly trust your recommendation. I have used Dtac last December and sorry to say its not the best. I must stick to AIS or TrueMove from now on. By the way, I can see that you and your team are working really hard to promote your country and hope to see you being rewarded by the authority/ ministry . Keep up the fantastic videos . !! God Bless You and the entire team.
Best is not to buy a tourist Sim. Buy a regular Sim at 7/11 from true. It's 150 to 350 Baht. With 350 the data was so fast that I could run a smart tv with it.
Ended up buying the True Sim from 7/11 30 days unlimited. Under 400 Bht and I installed myself in the hotel in 5 minutes no problems at all. I assume same as on sale at airports just avoided the queuing, 7/11 just took copy of passport and I was done. I used for about 19 days speeds were excellent, used it may times as a hotspot when Hotel Wifi went out.
True is lower price lower covered and if you didnt know how to buy a package by ur self it will be hard to get internet but if u just buy it in the airport u just pay and use it no worry for anything everything is make sense i did't recomend true in 7-11 for a guys who came Thailand for a first time they cant even speak eng thats mean u cant ask nothing from them
In 4 former Thailand trips I have used True and purchased at arrival, my last visit 3 weeks ago due to plane being late and car waiting, I went to Big C the next day to get my sim. I went with AIS and the package I got was 299 Baht - 45 days 50GB. I thought there must have been a mistake but when I went back into AIS store while in Kanchanaburi (Robinson) they checked and it was correct, I still had 48 GB.
Thank you my brother. I have visited your nice country more than 10 times during the last 6 years and every time I have chosen DTAC. Now I have scheduled to visit again in this December and this time I will choose AIS. Thank you once again. Take care.
Thank you for your explanation, for over than 10 years I'm always use dtac whenever I'm in Thai without doubts. I think I will reconsider about AIS for my trip end of this week.
Hi Charlie n I watch a lot of videos but have say honestly, you make the best, most informative. Entertaining videos I have seen anywhere, plus you cone over as a humble, pleasant person.
Thank you Chon, me and my wife will fly to Thailand on Wednesday for 6 weeks and I watched almost lll of your videos today. Great help for us, even we have visited Thailand before
Great video for someone like me going on his first visit to Thailand; two weeks in Pattaya, two weeks in Jomtien Beach. The True Move 999 baht card is the one for me. Thumbs up on your video!
Thank you for the information! Very informative. Our family will be in Thailand in a few months. Can't wait! Will watch more of your videos as we get closer to our trip. Best wishes on your channel!
Hi Phi Sawadee Kha~ 🙏🏻🙇 I'm planning to visit your home county next year and while I'm preparing for it, your vids really helps a lot, thank you so much Phi~ 🙏🏻 khop Khun mak kha 🙏🏻🙇
Thank you so much for all these useful videos. I'm coming to Thailand in a fortnight and will spend a month in your amazing country. Watching your videos are very helpful !
This video has forgotten to mention ESIMs which allow you go the the sim before you get to destination electronically. Among the best operators: maya mobile, airalo and montyesim.
Thank you so much, this vid is really helpful! My friend and I are traveling to BKK on Dec 1 and I'm so glad I found your channel. Thank you for discussing the difference in the packages. so helpful~
Chon thank you for this very informative video. My son and two friends will be travelling to Thailand in May. Although Chai has travelled to Thailand several times until he was 18, he has never travelled on his own without the safety of family so this information will be very useful to these 30year old newbie travellers. I note below, one poster indicated that different booths at the airport sell different packages for the same provider - not sure that I understand this. I will recommend that the guys purchase the 15 day AIS and then purchase a 5 day new SIM card in Phuket for their 2 days in Phuket and remaining three days in Bangkok.
Hey Mate, we are heading to Thailand later this year, return visit for the Wife & I, but 1st time for the (3x) kids. Videos like this are awesome. Thank you for this & cant wait to be in Thailand again soon
Excellent video Chon! From my personal experiences as a regular tourist of your country I can totally confirm the information given in this video. Personally my Thai wife and I always choose a monthly AIS package right at Suvarnabhumi airport because it's hassle free 😊
@@HeumateNaomi not sure honestly. I heard it's a little bit more expensive. But I come only once a year for holiday and don't care too much the extra Bahts. This way I can call and text right away after arrival

Looking to do this, I think its a 5 minute process in 7/11 faster than waiting line at airport.
really? regular Sim?
