Which of these additions will you be adding to your dog's food? Comment below
i give RAW duck heads, chicken feet/legs/wings and chunks, beef liver, chicken liver, raw egg, All raw. Never at the same time and day though lmao
I added some of what I was eating and now we both have diabetes
Thank you for watching. We wish you both lots of health!
😂
😂
Your fur baby is gorgeous. 🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾🎃
Thank you so much! 😊
Just a point I live in rural Italy, nearly every dog is fed pasta. They even sell dog pasta in food aisles. My neighbours even bring me pasta for my dog.
Thanks so much for watching. Personally we don't recommend feeding pasta or rice to dogs and generally recommend a low carb diet which is in line with holistic veterinarians recommended diet.
Our family dogs have long lives!
When people ask
I’ve always said: organic table scraps!
Little did we know.
Our dogs love: yams, sweet potatoes, blueberries
😊Thank you for the wonderful smiles and presentation. Great work 😊
Thank you so much for watching :)
Thanks for the guide, will be using!
Hope you enjoy it!
Good info, thanks!
My dog loves goji berries; blueberries; apple slices; yellow cantaloupe and broccoli.
But also brown rice and black beans with a little meat and lightly cooked veggie and no kibble.
You two are adorable, thanks for the good information, that help us a lot!!!
Thank you so much for watching and thank you for your kind words 😃
Great tips I always boil leftovers and add to kibble for extra flavor
Great video guys ! Mine has been raw a while but this is an amazing easy way to get people to start studying what they can feed :)
Thank you so much! So happy to hear you enjoyed this video :)
Thanks for this great info. Very helpful.
Thanks so much for watching :)
Makes sense! My hubby shares his oatmeal at breakfast with his dog. I would suggest you be sure and clean doggie’s face afterwards!
My sheltie has dealt with skin issues her whole life, she's 15 now and thanks to me recently developing a gut disorder, it pushed me to learn about the power of nutrition and how to use food as medicine. I've been adding dandelion tea, coconut oil, some scrambled egg, mashed sweet potato and local raw honey to her breakfasts (she get's fed twice a day, and I leave her dinners plain kibble to try and slowly accustom her to this new diet). I'm hoping the coconut oil can help with her skin and the dandelion tea (for rehydration) can help with her failing kidneys and heart and the honey for her seasonal allergies.
Thank you for watching. We wish her all the best. Have you considered switching to raw food?
@@PAWDEGA At the moment, I cant, her dry food is prescribed by the vet for her sensitive stomach but I try to make the most of it.
@@echolognameyou let your vet choose what you feed your dog? I’ve never once considered asking a vet to tell me what to feed my dog
We add steamed green veggies to every dinner and make sure we eat them. So for our Frenchie (your Frenchie's doppelgänger brother from another mother!) we dice some of those and mix them in. We also pressure cook frozen ground turkey once a week and add that to his evening meal. I've been debating giving him the defrosted turkey raw though. Other meals we sprinkle nutritional yeast on his kibble (Stella and chewy) and once a day mix with a spoon coated in coconut oil. He refuses to eat fruit entirely though.
Oh! And we share sardines for breakfast sometimes! My family thinks I'm nuts but I grew up fishing with dad, popping a can of sardines on his little boat for breakfast. To this day if I need a ton of energy for the day ahead I start with high quality sardines, sun dried tomatoes, olives, and hot sauce. Loving the comments/ idea sharing on this video
btw
This is amazing. Thank you so much for watching. Eggs are also an incredible addition as well :)
Very informative thank you.
Thank you for watching.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for watching 😀
This was excellent information and so very accurate -
Glad it was helpful!
Yep
I feed my dogs some people food and canned fish -boneless sardines in water, canned mackerel (primary ingredient in some Origin lines) and canned salmon.
Thats great! Have you been able to include some of the other recommendations in your pet's food? Would love to know more 😃
I am feeding raw to my labrador. However, I suggest to add bone broth, raw goat milk and raw goat milk Kefir, raw eggs, raw fish and little bit of vege and fruit (blueberries) puree.
Thank you for watching. Those are great additions too
Good info! My pooch is so bored of his diet!
Sorry to hear that. Have you tried feeding more fresh food, in particular green tripe? Picky dogs LOVE it 😃
Thank u so much I have a 13 yo lab , he’s doing great , still looks young and has a lot of energy, but I’ve seen his skin looking dry and sometimes red, so I’m trying to add raw stuff to improve his health
That is amazing that youre adding fresh food. As little as 20% of fresh food already makes such a huge difference. Good job! Wish you and your pup all the best!
I am not a veterinarian, but my dog loves to eat the coconut oil I was rubbing on his nose, paws, and winter dry patches. So I just started feeding it to him in small amounts. Dry patches are gone thank goodness. You must love your lab very much. Lucky dog 😊
I’ve been feeding raw but the only manufacturer on the island where I live has stopped producing. I’ve tried imported frozen raw, utter rubbish dog hates it. Making your own is fraught with danger especially as I can’t get essential additives. So I reluctantly change to dried, using Orijen which is IMHO the best of a bad lot. Your tips for improving it are brilliant, I’m sure it will help.
We're all doing the best we can for our pets, kids, and selves. I'm so impressed with the comments on these videos and the commitment you and others show to pet health. Sounds like your dog is in good hands.
I'm so sorry to hear. You could have a look at planet paws website, they do offer recipes that you could use to make your own raw as well.
white rice is ok once in a while. It helps my dog if he has a sick stomach. Brown rice is perfect though
Thank you for watching. We personally don't recommend feeding any type of rice, as it is hard to digest and pro-inflammatory. If it works for your dogs that's great though.
Utter utter rubbish. NEVER feed rice, not easily digestible, ferments in dog stomach, full of carbs.
@@teaforthree1 yeah i educated myself don’t worry 😭
Butternut squash some fell dog got it his tail wagged so fast he now loves butternut squash soup
My dog loves green beans and pumpkin puree! Whenever I'm prepping meat, I give her some of the little edge bits that would otherwise go to waste. She doesn't know it yet, but today she's gonna be getting some venison :)
Thank you so much for sharing 😃
I want to feed my golden retriever fresh homemade food, but I hear I might miss some nutrients and kibble is a must while she’s growing. When should I stop feeding her kibbles. She hates it. If I don’t mix it with homemade, she won’t touch it.
Thanks for great information ❤️
That's a great question. You can switch puppies to a raw diet right away, after weaning them off of mothers milk. However, as you mention it is important to feed a balanced, varied diet. I would recommend either going with a premade raw, or having a look at balanced recipes to follow. You can have a look at this recipe here: ua-cam.com/video/m0lA71v36q4/v-deo.html
this vid was so helpful i luv ur guys' energy! i was wondering what do you think about hydrating dogs kibble with just a little bit of bone broth or raw fermented goats milk? also is it good to give dogs plain greek yogurt? thanks so much!
Hydrating the dry food is AMAZING! We do recommend doing this because it adds moisture to the food, even better when you do it with bone broth instead of water. Plain greek yoghurt is okay to feed, personally we prefer feeding a pre&probiotic supplement as well as fermented veggies :)
If you are using bone broth from a store make sure to watch the salt in it
I started to give my frenchy once a day some coconut oil. He loves it. Also when his paws are a little worn out from walking on the asphalt i put some on and also on the nose when it gets dry.
I will definitely try some sardines.
I gave him some tuna for taste he yummed it down. But you didn't mention it. Is it bad?
Also thanks for the video
Thank you so much for watching. We are so happy to hear you're including some fresh foods to your frenchie's diet already. With fish, it would be best to stick with small oily fish, as they tend to have less toxins. Tuna is a larger fish, so personally we don't feed it. But feeding tuna once in a while would still be okay.
@@PAWDEGA yea he is now 5 months old. He is with us now for almost a month.
I will definitely get some sardines and treat him with occasional tuna then.
I also tried to give him a coocked carrot and apples and dried cranberries.
His eyes popped almost oit of his head when i showed him i had more cranberries hahaha
Hello I love your video, can I add 1 raw egg, sardines and yogurt together in one meal, eggs and sardines only twice a week, thanks.
Absolutely, yes you can. When you make changes to your dogs diet, we recommend adding new additions slowly. Perhaps adding Pre&Probiotic would also be a great idea
If you feed sardines make sure ots not salt or lots of salt
Thank you for watching 😀
Can I add all 3 things into his diet together as well as plain Greek yogurt?
I want to do an every other day between eggs and sardines, with vegtables and table spoon of yogurt every day
Yes you can 😃 We recommend introducing new additions slowly.
Very nice video thank you for sharing.
I want to ask please. You didn't mention chicken, and how about veggies cooked / boiled?
How about meat? Raw or cooked? Thank you so much.
Thank you for watching. We wanted to keep it to just 3 additions, so we were limited in what to choose :) We recommend adding raw meat instead of cooked, as it is more natural for them and also contains more nutrients that way. Veggies - we recommend grinding them in a food processor - again, to preserve nutrients. :)
What commercial kibble do you recommend? I am getting golden retriever puppy and they’re saying to avoid grain free. Suggestions? Thanks!
Great Question. Currently there isn't any commercial dry food that we would be able to recommend. We actually recommend wet food over dry food, because it has a more species appropriate moisture content. Have you considered a raw diet?
when can I start feeding my pup fresh food?
Great question :) As soon as you start to wean your puppy off of mothers milk :)
Can they be fed freshwater fish? Shad, drum, etc.
I'm not sure about shad & drum. We usually stick to wild caught sardines, mackerel, salmon and sometimes tuna.
I saw raw eggs are great but only absorbed 50 % raw an actually cooking little soft boiled example increases the bioavailability an nutrition absorption 🤷♂️
There are some nutrients that may be more bioavailable if lightly cooked. It's up to you 😃 I always prefer variety
Can I add raw goat milk to their kibble? If so, how often?
Yes absolutely! Raw Goat Milk is amaaazing :) You can add it on a daily basis if you want to.
can I feed my pup tuna fish?
Yes you can. However, Tuna may have a higher heavy metal contamination compared to small oily fish such as mackerel. We recommend small oily fish for this reason.
If fish oil is bad for them, might it be bad for us too?
The same quality and rancidity concerns would also apply to humans unfortunately. We rotate between fish and Potent Sea Algae Oil from Adored Beast
Raw egg NO, COOKED FINE
Thank you for watching :) Organic raw eggs are perfectly fine to feed to dogs :)
Psh I a terrible owner. My dog just been eating Hills Science dry food. 4 year old golden retriever.
Aww no, don't say that. We live and we learn, so we can only do better once we receive more information :). After watching the video, which ingredients will you start adding into your pet's food? :)
Dont give dogs cooked bones splinter in there. A half a teaspoon of cinnamon half a teaspoon of turmeric
Correct, never feed cooked bones 👍
Seaweed and Algue are much much better then fish !
Thanks for watching. Seaweed and Algae are great additions too. The most important part is feeding variety :)
If you would listen to the expert they will say dry food is not good for your dog
You've come to the right channel. We are supporters of raw feeding and offer lots of advice on this topic. But not everyone can make the full switch to raw so this video will help them boost their kibble. Thank you for watching. 🐾
Did I hear chocolate 😮 ?
I dont think so 😃 Chocolate is not safe for dogs and cats
So get rid of kibble ! It’s deadly !
Not everyone can make a full switch to raw, but adding at least some fresh food already makes such an incredible difference in the dog's life. One step at a time =)
To be honest stop feeding kibble and feed raw
Raw eggs are bad for youre dogs. Boil the eggs instead or do scramble eggs.
Thank you for watching. Raw Eggs are safe for dogs. Our dogs digestive tract is designed to handle potential bacteria as their stomach acid is highly acidic. In nature, it's common for dogs to eat raw eggs. Here is a link to more information: www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/feeding-your-dog-raw-eggs-good-or-bad/
