She's a 78 pound, pitbull. And the meat is cooked I do once a week. Give her some calf liver I also give her milk thistle supplement Is there anything else I need to add or take away from her diet I usually buy packs of chicken legs and cook them Down and then I remove all the bone little small bone pieces and the bone and go from there as far as the serving I mix it all together Is there something I need to add or take away from her diet She's currently eleven years old
I have been rescuing pit bulls and have them on a raw diet, however my 5 year old rescue started developing allergies the past 2 years. Once a year for about 4-5 months (usually starting in May ) he gets red inflamed skin, loses hair and it excessively itchy. My other dogs are doing fine and we ruled out mites, fleas and food sensitivity with elimination diets. We are completely baffled. He is now monitored by a holistic vet utilizing TCM and recommended a cooling diet because he had too much heat and damp in him. I am at a loss at this point and just want to ease his itchiness if you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
@@garethjones1632 He is on a raw diet, I order it frozen it has a mix of organ, muscle and ground bone, he doesn’t get treats except some freeze dried raw pieces from Stella n Chewy. He has been on clearing herbs for blood heat and cleared up a lot but keeps getting relapses with secondary yeast infections. It seems when his skin improves his ears act up and then the cycle begins.

Great channel. We are following. FYI from an audio expert. The main title is really loud. I dim my studio -10 dB when it plays. Reduce the level about -6 to -8 dB if you just want it to pop. Otherwise it is like watching TV commercials before the CALM act. They were so loud, people muted the TV.
My poodle frequently has diarrhoea and he has infected with Clostridium Perfringens recently. In addition, he was on antibiotics for a month and he was given prokolin enterogenic to maintain his gut. After a month, i found there was a less bad bacteria. However, he still having episode of diarrhoea after i gave him beef. He has been on duck, turkey and rabbit. What is your recommended diet to ensure and maintajn his gut health?
I need help with making food for my two schnauzer/Scottie’s sisters that have just been diagnosed with kidney failure. I have been mixing a little ground up hard prescription kibble with cooked vegetables and lean meat, alternating meats of salmon, lean chicken skinless, pork loin all baked in the oven. This what I feed my small and medium sized dogs on a daily basis: broccoli, fresh sliced carrots, a few green beans that are lightly steamed then minced followed with lightly cooked ground beef and turkey. the steamed vegetables are mixed together with the lightly cooked meat. Then I add 1 1/2 tsp (medium sized dog) of flax meal, 1/2 tsp chia seeds mixed in with vegetables and meats, and for my smaller dog, smaller amounts of chia seeds and flax meal, and because she is currently at 10 yrs old I also give her 1/8 tsp of turmeric on a daily basis that is mixed in with her vegetable/meat mixed food. One time a week I also give them raw beef liver and at times salmon or no salt added (in water) sardines. 2x/week I give my dogs a pro and prebiotic type of food; Stoneyfield Probiotic PLAIN yogurt and 1- 1 1/2 tsp of pure pumpkin puree. What else should I be adding to my dog's diet? I have seen the raw food diet for dogs, but this I am unsure of; I need help to balance my dogs' current meals so I can be reassured that they are both getting the proper nutrition their bodies absolutely need on a daily basis. I feed my dogs routinely; anywhere from 5:00am-6:30am in the morning and anywhere from as early as 3:00pm - 6:30pm for their second evening meal. Their second meal consists of lightly cooked ground Turkey then lightly steamed and minced cauliflower, peas, and some sort of green colored vegetable.

My question for you is I have read about Peas being an aggravator for UTI's but I see this ingredient in almost all dry dog good and canned. does this mean only raq peas? should I not add into fresh food home cooked? I do all cooked and healthy scraps to their food. also, should I stay away from white starches?
Surprised you recommend dried 6:326:35 herbs from those little containers? I doubt they have any benfits at all. Who knows how fresh they are. If your feeding fresh food, why not fresh herbs ?

I do add a little salt to my dog food which is usually any meat that i am making for myself. The dogs get some of that mixed with the high quality kibble Orijen brand. My two small dogs are now 13 years old and no health issues and are very active. So wandering why the home made dog foods people dont add a little seasoning and not just turmeric. May be because then the dog will not eat other foods with no salt?
Here is a base recipe for home cooking for your dog. 80% lean meat of which 10% needs to consist of secreting and non secreting organs such as Liver (Secreting) and Heart (Non Secreting) then 20% vegetable mix, such as Swede, Carrot, Parsnip, Cauliflower, A little spinach and chopped bell peppers that have been well cooked so they break apart when touched with a fork. You can use any mix you want and should alternate frequently. Add 1/2 teaspoon of ground eggshells per 500g cooked food. Cook the meat gently in a little water and only cook the liver for a couple of mins, it should still be raw inside. Don't just feed this though. This is OK as a main meal but you should also feed Sardines (in spring water) Eggs, Yoghurt and Kefir and many other whole natural or minimally processed foods. Some days feed raw such as raw mince (5% fat) with a raw egg for example and also raw meaty bones, for a yorkie I would recommend lamb rib bones. One bone only twice per week should be OK.

I love the promotion of animal protein and fats. Couple of questions. I think of what a dog would eat in the wild. We have the American wolf. Where would they find their source of turmeric in the wild? I understand they will snack on wild berries to supplement their carnivorous diet. Going back to the turmeric, and the hundreds of studies. Who funds those studies? How would an American wolf acquire high inflammation and require a turmeric source? They do not eat wheat, grains, soy or seed oils in the wild, the source of human inflammation and disease source. Or do they? Other than the occasion raiding of someone's garbage would they consume these in their diet? My thought is feed your pet as similar as possible to what their relatives eat in the wild. Please tell me where my thought could be off. Thank you.

They are opportunistic carnivores, meaning they will eat a variety of prey animals depending on what is available to them. Most wolves prefer ungulates, which are large hoofed animals such as deer, bison, elk, and moose. They will also eat smaller mammals such as rabbits, beavers, raccoons, and rodents. A lot of wolves will eat fish, especially salmon, and especially during the fall when they are trying to store up extra nutrients in preparation for winter. Sometimes wolves will eat birds, including young or injured birds of prey. In fact, wolves may even prey on young or injured predators of other kinds, especially if food is scarce and they are competing over the same food sources. I enjoy all the information. However, I am concerned about one of the top ten human foods safe for our furbabies, the bone broth. I bought bone broth for my furbaby. Read the ingredients and it had onions as one of the ingredients So I did not give it to my furbaby. Can you please explain that?
There is absolutely no evidence to support Turmeric being beneficial. If you want to go down a rabbit hole then use Google Scholar ( a search engine that returns only scientific papers) and read some studies on there.
Hi Ive been feeding my dog homemade dog food for about 5 months now i do a variety. Each week i do a different meat. I do a fish meal. It includes the any fish that we catch like sandbass which is a white bass, striper crappie etc. Have to move careful with the ocean fish no swordfish, tuna, macrele, king fish anything with high mercury is dangerous for your dog. I buy can salmon I remove the bones even though they're soft. My fish are usually filet already no skin the salmon in the can has some i use it then some sardines too. I use a can or two in every recipe. I usually have about 4 lbs of fish 2 cans of salmon 1 to 2 cans of sardines and of course I add liver be it chicken beef or veil. Then the rest of the ingredients veg, fruit, pumpkin seasoning, eggs supplements that includes tumeric, pepper, ground ginger root, kelp shitaki mushroom basil leaves, sesame seeds flaxseed all organic vitamin's go in last. I give her probiotic, calcium, joint support supplement, zinc complex with her dinner meal Not an expert but I have seen a big difference in her coat. She is so shiny and soft now and she use to shed horrible now it's very little I mean little I was shocked at the difference. She gets fish every 4th meal prep. I feed fish, beef, chicken, turkey, venison sometimes a mixture of beef and venison. When I first started her on each one though I made small batches to make sure her stomach could tolerate it. She has done really good. I don't use rice in my recipe. I have use a little Quinoa.
I just found you today and I’m trying to find the best diet I can feed my picky eater, senior, sensative GI tract and skin sensitivities.. rescue dog.. she’s about 12 lab/boarder collie mix. She weighs about 65 lbs.. and her hips are failing much quicker than supplements are helping with.

I feed my 108 lb GSP Raw balanced complete diet, OC Raw. He seems to get indigestion at night. I feed him a small meal before he goes to sleep so he has food to digest. I wind up giving him Mylanta and it seems to help. I also give him probiotics. My other two dogs don’t seem to have this problem. Any suggestions. Do you think he needs less protein and more veggies?
I don't know your dog's history so its tough for me to give you meaningful advice. Either play with the timing/portions of feeding or try a different formula so you can see what helps and what doesn't. Every dog is different so their ideal diet can look very different than others.
Be careful of the human bone broth. It contains onion in the broth. They make bone broth for dogs but you can make your own as well sans the onion. I think the confusion is people think they can just use the bone broth off the shelf from their grocery store. Don't.
@@marciamed There is a list of things dogs shouldn't have. Onion Garlic are 2 that I've seen in human broth before. Just google fruits and vegetables dogs can't eat. Grape is one. They are poisonous.

Cats are basically carnivores. They need muscle meat, organs, and bone. That's it. Feed a variety. Different kinds of poultry, Beef, pork, fish, etc. They don't need any vegetables and definitely no fruits. And absolutely no carbs such as rice, etc.

Thanks so much! ground bone is used very often, and in many cases successfully as a source of calcium and minerals but some studies showed heavy metals and composition of bone is really dependent on what that individual animal ate so its a luck of the draw. Sure fire ways to get calcium are ground up eggshells. Raw meaty bones from grass fed animals would be my suggestion if you wanna feed bones.
Tree of doom?Your kidding, right? Most dogs and cats hate broccoli! Okay, I sometimes get away with adding it if it's well cooked and chopped and mixed in. Everything else sounds great! I don't agree with adding much in the way of fruits and veggies to a cat's diet, however since they are obligate carnivores, unlike domestic dogs. I think they have different needs. Great watch though, it's good to see a knowledgeable professional advocating for our pets, rather than just trying to sell boutique food.❤ I'm a wildlife biologist and rehabilitator and I hate seeing some of these videos!
We have a pug. 1 year old. His breeder recommends RAW beef with some organs. Not finding where to get that. We've been using stella along with Open Farms kibble. So that is question 1. RAW and organs, like liver. How? Where to get? Vet thinks he needs to lose weight (21 lb) and recommended we put more veg into his diet. He is solid muscle. There isn't an ounce of fat on him. His dad won best in breed Westminster this year. I was also told vets get overly weight obsessed on pugs when they are young and his weight is fine. What adjustments should we make at his 1 year birthday, last week. What say you?

Mushrooms killed my previous dog. She was a Olde English Bulldog. Mushrooms are toxic to Bulldogs. Now I have an English Bulldog. Also I heard that chicken gives dogs allergies.
Some lady in Australia recently killed a couple of people by putting mushrooms in a beef wellington. Its true look it up. Does that mean ALL mushrooms are deadly? When you say mushrooms killed you previous dog what do you mean? did you have an autopsy performed? was your dog poisoned? backed up with a toxicology report? or did you dog die shortly after eating by coincidence mushrooms?

Cats are obligate carnivores and have much different dietary needs than dogs. People I know have fed table scraps to dogs as long as I can remember, with no problems. Chaga mushrooms are great for dogs and cats. Fish or liver, or any secreting organ, should be no more than 5% of a cat's diet. My cats won't eat kafir.
Could you please tell people to stop giving their dogs cheese. It's suppose to be very bad for dogs and for some reason lots of dog owners on the internet are giving it to their dogs as treats and it's become a trend. I believe they develop respiratory problems from it.

A lot of bad advice in here especially "If you can eat it so can your pet." Dead wrong. Many things we eat can kill a dog. Tumeric has Oxolates as does Broccoli. Instead I use Cucumin. He mentions it but does not mention why. To much oil can give pancreatitis.
@@fernboy3 I heard CURCUMIN might be safer but do your own research. I am not an expert. See Carnivore MD and other- they talk about why. I used to do Tumeric but no longer. Also- personally, don't do mouthwash ever.
@@fernboy3 Good for you- and your pups! I believe so but I don't give it. My dog does not have inflammation. If he did, I would find the ROOT CAUSE. You need to be careful with the dosage though and your macros. Many homemade diets are deficient and even dangerous e.g., too much salt, too many oxolates, antinutrients, etc. My dogs diet is fairly simple- lean turky, sometimes quality beef, very light organic veg., a little pumpkin, touch of salt, touch of magnesium powder, light calcium I get from baking and grinding his leftover egg shells- he gets one, 5 minute boiled PASTURED RAISED egg, 3x's a week added to his food. I also add a splash of low sodium chicken stock. You have to get the measurements right. Look up high OXOLATE foods- and avoid them. I am so sick of people saying no onions no garlic NOT TRUE for dog food I am 70 years old and have made my own food for many years. My dogs have lived for many years and go to the vet for baby shots and teeth cleaning that is it STOP GIVING ALL THE SHOTS OMG FOLLOW THE MONEY. they have lived to be 17 years old Sabrina a Goldendoodle is now almost 15 muffin lived to be 17 years old med size puddle. I cook in an Instapot all the meat and veggies mainly yellow and orange squash and carrots, peas are just fine too!! And of course garlic and onions and (chicken feet for glucosamine) and guess what jasmine rice too two cups. I use liver, roast beet, and chicken. PLEASE stop making it so hard. For a week's worth of food 2 gallons, one onion and 4 tbs of garlic. I truly hope this helps

Hey all, Dr Francis here. I am VERY happy that you and your dogs had long and wonderful lives together. Unfortunately I've worked with many pet owners who's dogs weren't so lucky and onions did affect their health so its not something I can recommend as a whole. Every dog is different, as is their environment and lifestyle and it all plays a part in a dog's optimal diet. Its not one size fits all. Your diet had many more ingredients than in the video so It wouldn't be a fair comparison as her diet had severe and obvious nutrition gaps. No one is here trying to change your mind. Wish you the best ;)
@@marisolsullivan5224 Dogs are descendants of wolfs, there are numerous countries where wild dogs roam freely, eating rabbits, mice or whatever they can catch. I bet you only eat boneless skinless chicken!! Humans still eat raw foods, sushi, steak tartare, ceviche. Nothing wrong with a raw diet as long as it includes the proper nutrients. Most homemade dog food doesn’t, that why it should be supplemented with kibble.
Raw diets are the best for cats and dogs….that’s what they eat in nature…..it far out weighs the crap kibble…..which is rendered down a number of times and loads of crap artificial vits and minerals added……potatoes, and crap carbs……to fill it out so the manufacturers can make huge profits and pets die of cancer……and let’s not forget the kidney disease.
Just because you wouldn't eat, it doesn't mean it's not right for your dog. Get out of your bubble, and think about what's right for the animal, rather than what you personally would eat. I don't want to eat hay but it's good for horses.

My dog goes thru this too and I haven’t found anything to help relieve his itchiness and red skin 😩 my heart literally breaks for him.

What are you cleaning your floors with? Also look at other washing, cleaning products. Yes it's a thing with dogs cats and humans!!!

My poodle frequently has diarrhoea and he has infected with Clostridium Perfringens recently. In addition, he was on antibiotics for a month and he was given prokolin enterogenic to maintain his gut. After a month, i found there was a less bad bacteria. However, he still having episode of diarrhoea after i gave him beef. He has been on duck, turkey and rabbit. What is your recommended diet to ensure and maintajn his gut health?

This what I feed my small and medium sized dogs on a daily basis: broccoli, fresh sliced carrots, a few green beans that are lightly steamed then minced followed with lightly cooked ground beef and turkey. the steamed vegetables are mixed together with the lightly cooked meat. Then I add 1 1/2 tsp (medium sized dog) of flax meal, 1/2 tsp chia seeds mixed in with vegetables and meats, and for my smaller dog, smaller amounts of chia seeds and flax meal, and because she is currently at 10 yrs old I also give her 1/8 tsp of turmeric on a daily basis that is mixed in with her vegetable/meat mixed food. One time a week I also give them raw beef liver and at times salmon or no salt added
(in water) sardines. 2x/week I give my dogs a pro and prebiotic type of food; Stoneyfield Probiotic PLAIN yogurt and 1- 1 1/2 tsp of pure pumpkin puree. What else should I be adding to my dog's diet? I have seen the raw food diet for dogs, but this I am unsure of; I need help to balance my dogs' current meals so I can be reassured that they are both getting the proper nutrition their bodies absolutely need on a daily basis. I feed my dogs routinely; anywhere from 5:00am-6:30am in the morning and anywhere from as early as 3:00pm - 6:30pm for their second evening meal. Their second meal consists of lightly cooked ground Turkey then lightly steamed and minced cauliflower, peas, and some sort of green colored vegetable.

I do add a little salt to my dog food which is usually any meat that i am making for myself. The dogs get some of that mixed with the high quality kibble Orijen brand. My two small dogs are now 13 years old and no health issues and are very active. So wandering why the home made dog foods people dont add a little seasoning and not just turmeric. May be because then the dog will not eat other foods with no salt?

Can you recommend a good dog food recipe for a yorkie
Here is a base recipe for home cooking for your dog. 80% lean meat of which 10% needs to consist of secreting and non secreting organs such as Liver (Secreting) and Heart (Non Secreting) then 20% vegetable mix, such as Swede, Carrot, Parsnip, Cauliflower, A little spinach and chopped bell peppers that have been well cooked so they break apart when touched with a fork. You can use any mix you want and should alternate frequently. Add 1/2 teaspoon of ground eggshells per 500g cooked food. Cook the meat gently in a little water and only cook the liver for a couple of mins, it should still be raw inside. Don't just feed this though. This is OK as a main meal but you should also feed Sardines (in spring water) Eggs, Yoghurt and Kefir and many other whole natural or minimally processed foods. Some days feed raw such as raw mince (5% fat) with a raw egg for example and also raw meaty bones, for a yorkie I would recommend lamb rib bones. One bone only twice per week should be OK.

I love the promotion of animal protein and fats. Couple of questions. I think of what a dog would eat in the wild. We have the American wolf. Where would they find their source of turmeric in the wild? I understand they will snack on wild berries to supplement their carnivorous diet. Going back to the turmeric, and the hundreds of studies. Who funds those studies? How would an American wolf acquire high inflammation and require a turmeric source? They do not eat wheat, grains, soy or seed oils in the wild, the source of human inflammation and disease source. Or do they? Other than the occasion raiding of someone's garbage would they consume these in their diet? My thought is feed your pet as similar as possible to what their relatives eat in the wild. Please tell me where my thought could be off. Thank you.
Think about what the animals eat that the wolf eats. Wolves are carnivores and feed on prey from earthworms to animals as large as moose. They are opportunistic carnivores, meaning they will eat a variety of prey animals depending on what is available to them. Most wolves prefer ungulates, which are large hoofed animals such as deer, bison, elk, and moose. They will also eat smaller mammals such as rabbits, beavers, raccoons, and rodents. A lot of wolves will eat fish, especially salmon, and especially during the fall when they are trying to store up extra nutrients in preparation for winter. There is absolutely no evidence to support Turmeric being beneficial. If you want to go down a rabbit hole then use Google Scholar ( a search engine that returns only scientific papers) and read some studies on there.

Hi Ive been feeding my dog homemade dog food for about 5 months now i do a variety. Each week i do a different meat. I do a fish meal. It includes the any fish that we catch like sandbass which is a white bass, striper crappie etc. Have to move careful with the ocean fish no swordfish, tuna, macrele, king fish anything with high mercury is dangerous for your dog.
I buy can salmon I remove the bones even though they're soft. My fish are usually filet already no skin the salmon in the can has some i use it then some sardines too. I use a can or two in every recipe. I usually have about 4 lbs of fish 2 cans of salmon 1 to 2 cans of sardines and of course I add liver be it chicken beef or veil. Then the rest of the ingredients veg, fruit, pumpkin seasoning, eggs supplements that includes tumeric, pepper, ground ginger root, kelp shitaki mushroom basil leaves, sesame seeds flaxseed all organic vitamin's go in last. I give her probiotic, calcium, joint support supplement, zinc complex with her dinner meal Not an expert but I have seen a big difference in her coat. She is so shiny and soft now and she use to shed horrible now it's very little I mean little I was shocked at the difference. She gets fish every 4th meal prep. I feed fish, beef, chicken, turkey, venison sometimes a mixture of beef and venison.
When I first started her on each one though I made small batches to make sure her stomach could tolerate it. She has done really good. I don't use rice in my recipe. I have use a little Quinoa.
I just found you today and I’m trying to find the best diet I can feed my picky eater, senior, sensative GI tract and skin sensitivities.. rescue dog.. she’s about 12 lab/boarder collie mix. She weighs about 65 lbs.. and her hips are failing much quicker than supplements are helping with.

I feed my 108 lb GSP Raw balanced complete diet, OC Raw. He seems to get indigestion at night. I feed him a small meal before he goes to sleep so he has food to digest. I wind up giving him Mylanta and it seems to help. I also give him probiotics. My other two dogs don’t seem to have this problem. Any suggestions. Do you think he needs less protein and more veggies?
I don't know your dog's history so its tough for me to give you meaningful advice. Either play with the timing/portions of feeding or try a different formula so you can see what helps and what doesn't. Every dog is different so their ideal diet can look very different than others.
Hell no, don't give your dog Mylanta. Give your dog digestive enzymes for dogs.
Be careful of the human bone broth. It contains onion in the broth. They make bone broth for dogs but you can make your own as well sans the onion.
I think the confusion is people think they can just use the bone broth off the shelf from their grocery store.

Cats are basically carnivores. They need muscle meat, organs, and bone. That's it. Feed a variety. Different kinds of poultry, Beef, pork, fish, etc.
They don't need any vegetables and definitely no fruits. And absolutely no carbs such as rice, etc.

Thanks so much! ground bone is used very often, and in many cases successfully as a source of calcium and minerals but some studies showed heavy metals and composition of bone is really dependent on what that individual animal ate so its a luck of the draw. Sure fire ways to get calcium are ground up eggshells. Raw meaty bones from grass fed animals would be my suggestion if you wanna feed bones.

I don't agree with adding much in the way of fruits and veggies to a cat's diet, however since they are obligate carnivores, unlike domestic dogs. I think they have different needs. We have a pug. 1 year old. His breeder recommends RAW beef with some organs. Not finding where to get that. We've been using stella along with Open Farms kibble. So that is question 1. RAW and organs, like liver. How? Where to get?
Vet thinks he needs to lose weight (21 lb) and recommended we put more veg into his diet. He is solid muscle. There isn't an ounce of fat on him.

find an Asian market, it is hard to find organ meat, other than liver, at most supermarkets. Adding in some uncooked bones could be good as well.

Mushrooms killed my previous dog. She was a Olde English Bulldog. Mushrooms are toxic to Bulldogs. Now I have an English Bulldog. Also I heard that chicken gives dogs allergies.
Some lady in Australia recently killed a couple of people by putting mushrooms in a beef wellington. Its true look it up. Does that mean ALL mushrooms are deadly? When you say mushrooms killed you previous dog what do you mean? did you have an autopsy performed? was your dog poisoned? backed up with a toxicology report? or did you dog die shortly after eating by coincidence mushrooms?

Cats are obligate carnivores and have much different dietary needs than dogs. People I know have fed table scraps to dogs as long as I can remember, with no problems. Chaga mushrooms are great for dogs and cats. Fish or liver, or any secreting organ, should be no more than 5% of a cat's diet. My cats won't eat kafir.

Could you please tell people to stop giving their dogs cheese. It's suppose to be very bad for dogs and for some reason lots of dog owners on the internet are giving it to their dogs as treats and it's become a trend. I believe they develop respiratory problems from it.

A lot of bad advice in here especially "If you can eat it so can your pet." Dead wrong. Many things we eat can kill a dog. Tumeric has Oxolates as does Broccoli. Instead I use Cucumin. He mentions it but does not mention why. To much oil can give pancreatitis.

I believe so but I don't give it. My dog does not have inflammation. If he did, I would find the ROOT CAUSE. You need to be careful with the dosage though and your macros. Many homemade diets are deficient and even dangerous e.g., too much salt, too many oxolates, antinutrients, etc.
My dogs diet is fairly simple- lean turky, sometimes quality beef, very light organic veg., a little pumpkin, touch of salt, touch of magnesium powder, light calcium I get from baking and grinding his leftover egg shells- he gets one, 5 minute boiled PASTURED RAISED egg, 3x's a week added to his food. I also add a splash of low sodium chicken stock. You have to get the measurements right.
Look up high OXOLATE foods- and avoid them.
I can confidently recommend a couple of things to you. pawsofprey.com/product/dog-spreadsheet/ and the book or audiobook called THE FOREVER DOG- Becker. Two dogs in the book she talks about lived to be over 30.

I am so sick of people saying no onions no garlic NOT TRUE for dog food I am 70 years old and have made my own food for many years. My dogs have lived for many years and go to the vet for baby shots and teeth cleaning that is it STOP GIVING ALL THE SHOTS OMG FOLLOW THE MONEY. they have lived to be 17 years old Sabrina a Goldendoodle is now almost 15 muffin lived to be 17 years old med size puddle. I cook in an Instapot all the meat and veggies mainly yellow and orange squash and carrots, peas are just fine too!! And of course garlic and onions and (chicken feet for glucosamine) and guess what jasmine rice too two cups. I use liver, roast beet, and chicken. PLEASE stop making it so hard. For a week's worth of food 2 gallons, one onion and 4 tbs of garlic. I truly hope this helps

Hey all, Dr Francis here. I am VERY happy that you and your dogs had long and wonderful lives together. Unfortunately I've worked with many pet owners who's dogs weren't so lucky and onions did affect their health so its not something I can recommend as a whole. Every dog is different, as is their environment and lifestyle and it all plays a part in a dog's optimal diet. Its not one size fits all. Your diet had many more ingredients than in the video so It wouldn't be a fair comparison as her diet had severe and obvious nutrition gaps.
