You cannot help people that do not want it
Joe without his trt would be a fat mess. Just my opinion 🤷 something about a person that cheats and still talks trash is funny to me.
Being born in a first world country to someone with a job and having people that care about you is already cheating, why not double down lol
as a 2 bears listener i don’t know how many times i’ve heard bart say how “jacked” or “skinny” he is… whilst being 245 pounds
the guys a rollercoaster that’s for sure
listens to 2 bears and still doesnt know Berts name or how to spell it. stfu.
Joe "He's going to let them down when he dies" Rogan lmao
“Yeah.”
Bert should be in the Alcoholics Hall of fame.
Alcohall of Fame
@@kekt Haha, I was hoping someone would catch that.
His daughters are going to see him as someone who cared more about the fun of booze than spending more years with his daughters. As the son of an alcoholic it’s both sad and infuriating.
That’s better than being beat by your father. Rather have one that leaves to party than stays and smacks you around
Is that YOU son
You're a millionaires kid ?
Bozo it ain’t that deep
You act like you know anything about his family life 😂
Seeing how good Tom looks and hearing how much worse Bert's drinking has gotten is peak 2 bears
Bert's speech sounds like something Barney Gumble from the Simpsons would say about beer, except Bert was more eloquent
and it had a weird motivational-esque, climb to the mountain top type, this is the greatest thing ever aspect to it
I think because they edited in sunrises and whatnot, made it more epic than it really was (which was pretty fkn epic!)
Thanks guys I was going to stop drinking but after Bert’s motivational speech here I go cheers 🥂 😂
Lol.
Once hit hits your lips....😄🍻
JOE needs some ROGAINE lol
Enough of the Burt talk save us all. Once a week there's a 10 minute clip about his drinking
Damn Joe got pretty serious when he brought up Bert dying. And you can tell that's coming from a real place of love. So many entertainers die to soon because of the life they live. But to be fair there's a difference between Ralphie May and Bert. Bert's not that unhealthy.
I think Bert is great. Such a good heart on that dude. I would be genuinely sad if he were to die young knowing that it could be prevented. He doesn't need to quit drinking altogether, just slow down a lot!
It’s usually all or nothing for people unfortunately
That’s not how alcoholism works. You quit or it kills you.
I need to start watching JRE again damn
Bert be nimble.
Bert be quick.
Bert be big,
It’s just his schtick.
Before Bert blew up he'd be in KCMO all the time. My wife and I would drink beers with him after his show every show!!! He was so down to earth and is the funniest man on the planet.
No shit? Where at in KC?
@@nickscherrer1735 I'd imagine the Improv in Zona Rosa
@@TLOWNSU yup! Always at the improv in Zona and the tickets were always free! It was badass. We saw him 5x there and every time he'd drink with us at the bar with a small group and just make us piss ourselves. Funniest dude ever.
@@jasonparker6670 is that the place where bobby Lee said the owners make the comics pray with them before the show? KC has weird christians
@@OliveMule oh I have no idea. Wouldn't shock me a bit! It was always at the improv in Zona Rosa. It was soooooooo much fun. We've got pictures of him drunk asf with his shirt off just grinning. He's as real as it gets.
I'd love him to be a speaker at my AA meeting! Lol
@Harold Reinhardt oh I'm doing it, Bert is really funny and I'm a fan. I'd like to see him perform live to an AA audience before he dies. We laugh at all that horrible stuff, I think the whole situation is just funny. Well not the poor health part, but yeah...
We don't quit until we quit and some of us never do. It is what it is.
Oh, he’ll be there. Just give him time 😂
@Harold Reinhardt your goal is to help women, but you don't trust women? So you fix their problems? Interesting...
Bert's tennis serve is really good for having never played tennis
I'm 40 years old. Loved drinking, still miss it, what I learned about drinking is everything is fine until it's not. Woke up and my eyes and skin were yellow. End up in E.R. Bilirubin is off the chart and I'm being told my liver is not working. A month in hospital followed by rehab. I lived. I really hope Bert can slow down enough so that never happens to him. It's to life changing and could ruin his comedy.
How long/much had you been drinking?
That sounds more like an alcoholic than anything else. Everybody in Britain or at least a vast majority drink multiple times a week and generally get smashed at least once a week. As I’m sure a lot of Americans do. There’s enjoying drink and then drinking to excess every day which is what causes jaundice
@@reecep4016 Theres many young brits with liver failure from binge drinking
@@zuldo8577 nah

These guys are super athletic for average fat comedians
Man I miss these podcasts being on UA-cam
Id rather have a great shorter life then enjoy nothing and get a extra 10 years at the end of life where you just become a burden
Bert loves disc golf and so do I!!!
7:49 Tom looked right into the camera as if he was looking at Bert. We want Bert around for a long time, it's cool to chill on alcohol from time to time man.
7:48 Tom makes eye contact to express how serious this convo got!
"Wanna get skinny? Just hit yourself in the head with a hammer, go into a coma for six months and boom you're skinny!!" - Bert
Joe and Tom on Bert’s Unsurprising Alcoholism*
Honestly guys if Joe and Tom are talking about this for this long and this in-depthly then they probably have noticed behavior lately that is worse than normal. I hope Bert is doing all right. He has a good support group here if he chooses to tap into it.
It’s a long podcast and they probably don’t have that much in common that Carries the conversation
They literally said that his behaviour lately is worse than normal.
Still waiting for Keanu reeves on the JR podcast
In a different life He’s known as Bartholomew And invented the cure to everything, benches 1000lbs to warm up, and is married to Jennifer Lopez!
That drink speech from Burt brought tears to my eyes
Bring the podcast back to UA-cam
@Austin Batton I'm sorry your parents never hugged you as a child
@@SitKid721 No, he's right, it was a dumbass comment. The podcasts are never coming back to UA-cam.
I want Joe to work at my factory for three weeks. He wouldn’t be able to know what door he walked through. Watching newbies is kinda bad. But definitely funny. Joe Rogan couldn’t burn this candle.
bert is a legit, raging alcoholic deep in denial
Joe *“have you tried sober October”* Rogan
Tom Segura is the older version of Andrew Huberman
its great to see so many comedians who are the nice people in the world, who also grape people. joe hangs out with the most outstanding people
I like Rogan noticing Bert's drinking is heavier than ever.
Takes one to know one I guess, Joe's been drinking whiskey and smoking cigars heavier than ever, also.
Who do you think is more disciplined?
@@ez123489 Hahaha for real. Burt will die young.
Burt and Tom are lame. I use to love both of them but they get old real fast
Joe is a the type of friend that everyone needs. Not a yes man and tells you the truth with not wasting precious minutes in life.
Joe just came right out and said it……”when he dies” and Tom wasn’t ready for it. It actually sunk in, for Tom, at that very moment and it affected him. Bert will see this and it might actually be just what it takes
It was kind of an asshole statement to say on a podcast bc he kinda wasn’t joking.. toms look at the camera was very serious
@@mohammedbarbandi965 it was extremely harsh. Yeah it seemed to sort of piss Tom off
I like how they care enough to talk about how they will get him. 😂
I'm the fat kinda athletic guy too. It's cuz I used to be in shape, so in my mind, I should still be able to move like that. So when I play Spikeball, ppl are shocked that I can move pretty well. I'm not great, but for my size, I'm athletic
A lot of people know people like that. They are successful, so you can't talk them out of it because their life is not going well and they need outside help like a drunk that lost their job etc.
High functioning alcoholic. It will probably hit him hard later in life. My Dad's friends like that died around 60 or definitely felt like shit by then.
What a unique topic for you two to discuss again and again and again
They don't give a fuck, they're gonna keep doing it because you keep watching and commenting.
I was that guy who could party and drink. When you stop being that guy, you only lose the people around you that don't really matter anyway. Bert just needs to look at Artie. His friends and his fans didn't abandon him. They were pleading with him to get help.

Joe has a bandaid at 6:41, he got his belly fat sucked or something. He's complexed by his hormone guts now.
Listening to Joe talk about Bert I get the impression he's super jealous of him and I can't understand why...
Okay, Bert.
The Kreisher Method: just have them put you in a coma until you’re skinny. Piece of cake. Oh yeah, have them make the I.V. cake-flavored. Mmm cake.
Seriously, though, I’d like to play a round of disc golf with Bert. I bet that would be hilarious.
That was kind of heartbreaking going from glorifying an alcoholic to being scared of losing a friend to alcoholism
Lol Bert is athletic compared to who? Compared to your average, run of the mill, middle aged, overweight, alcoholic dad? Yeah I guess? That's like being the smartest employee at Belle Tire----not much of an achievement.
Tom is loving his weight loss. Dude looks incredible.
He looks ex-fat
Hello everyone there is a great person and UA-camr that needs and deserves more subscribers!!! His name is Jake Broe and his content on the Russian invasion of Ukraine is second to non. I promise you will not be disappointed. 🇺🇦✊🏻🇺🇸
I wish my family had supported me nearly as much as Joe supports his friends
Unfortunately for Bert, Joe is right, you can't live a long life drinking like that...Unfortunately for Joe, you can't live long on the. juice either. Sooner or later it'll get you just like alcohol, the liver pays the price.
You can't be an alcoholic and athletic at the same time. Society needs to realize and understand this and accept it. Alcohol is a poison.
@@thistagworked No. Being athletic means you have a strong heart and are capable of doing hard workouts that the rest of the population only dreams about.
there's a lot more than booze going on there. i'm sure there's blow and other recreational drugs, as well as self-hatred, unhealed trauma, and shame that he chooses to numb briefly over and over again instead of conquer and free himself from. drinking gave me absolutely nothing. quitting gave me endless possibilities,.
Joe got dark real quick. That’s Joe the friend talking. Joe the comic is acutely aware of the formula that comics require to be that guy on stage. If Bert went sober vegan guy he’s gotta get a new career lol
Nonsense
First time I heard of Bert was like 5 years ago maybe. He was talking about how he’s going to lose weight & stop drinking…
