This is a great series, and I'm learning a lot from it! Thank you guys so much for making these videos, they're exactly what I needed, good tutorials from good players who I trust the judgment and advice of. I'll be rooting for you guys in the next tournament you're in, stay awesome condiments! :D
How do I stop instinctively button-mashing? Whenever I'm in a match, I get overcome by this sense of urgency where I have to resort to impulsive button-mashing to win. Instead of paying attention to a specific sequence of buttons to execute my combos, I just mash the buttons hoping to somehow end up executing the string. For instance, say, my opponent whiffs a poke or special and I have the advantage of punish, I get overwhelmed by an impulse to just go berserk with my pad. On the other hand, I can get too fixated on landing a certain combo so that I become oblivious to what's actually going on in the match and don't play according to what my opponent is doing, as if I'm a robot programmed to do only one thing. How can I resolve this problem?
Even though this was 8 months ago, if you're still running into this problem then you need to practice in training mode and get your combos down properly, make sure you tidy up your button inputs (this was a big problem for me for ages) you'll stop the button mashing when you get more confident about yourself in the game, at first you'll be overwhelmed and not know what to do but with time you'll learn what you can punish with etc and that will result in winning more matches :) hope that helped
Great job guys! I'm looking forward to an episode on defensive play, that's what I'm struggling with the most at the moment. I'd love some tips on blocking and how to deal with being in the corner.
Swear to god Man I absolutely love y’alls commentary ! K&M you 2 are the real deal man . Between the level of hype provided in competitive settings & the amount of info provided from all aspects of the game including situational settings y’all are just on another Level 💯 Keep up the great work in MK11 , much respect from The USA 🇺🇸 ✊
Dude, I'm loving this series. After the last video, I decided Master of Souls Ermac was the one for me. And because I looked at all of the moves, I was actually prepared for a lot because I knew my options. I'm currently 40-6! While that pales in comparison to many, it feels good to try to be competitive and not completely fail! (MKX is my first *serious* fighting game)
these basics right here are what makes or brakes a pro player. I know them well, yet still find myself going back to them to refresh. Frame counting and long combos are useless without these.
The thing about this game is that your movements have to be extremely fast and precise and even a tiny amount of lag or input delay can make a huge effect on how well you can fight.
To execute the enhanced special moves more easy, you should mention to hit block before the actual attack button. This way the enhanced special move will always come out. Sometimes you will press the attack button first and then the block button, which will not trigger the ex-version :(. good video as always!
Hey guys great video. Really covers the when and where of the meter system. Why not the how though? How exactly would you build the meter to use it(I already know how, just think it would be a major thing to think about when on this subject). Can't wait for the next one.
Great videos guys. Need some help dealing with pressure and getting up is really annoying coming from sf something here seems off after getting knocked down.
Hoping to finally play online one of these days...probably get my ass whooped but at least I can come over here to learn what I'm doing wrong :) Great channel!
Could you please explain to me what a zoning character is. Also I watched the stream last night and wondered if the guy sending you hate mail responded to the twitch link.
Noticeably FAT A "zoning" character is a character that relies on being far from you and throwing projectiles, they'll usually wear your health down with projectiles then move in for the kill. For example: Kitana, Full Auto Jaqui and Heavy Weapons Jax
I still don't get the point of run cancel coos like jhonny a list why nrs make mkx Like jist For pro players. I'm good with Quan chi but it took me a month to perform a 50 percent damage

Sweet, didn't know the back-dash had invincibility frames. Never really used it that much, same with sprinting.

Small correction: 6:22 "a comeback is even less unlikely now".
Would be nice of you if you can upload tutorial on blocking and on defense. You seem like a master at defensive style !
marlon piedy Soon!
This video was dope! Very well put together
I watched the video even if I thought I knew everything about the meter system and I've learned a few things, thanks!

pandabonanzaa It's very simple. You build the meter by taking damage or having them block your attacks. :)
This series helped me out so much thank u guys

Frame data episode?
Great videos guys. Need some help dealing with pressure and getting up is really annoying coming from sf something here seems off after getting knocked down.
I some time use the breaks on accident by trying to block while they hit me, but I wanted to save my meter for later on or a. X-ray.
Great series man!
i cant wait for them to cover the Frame Data and how to use Practice Mode effectively
These videos are awesome!
Tobias Østergaard We're glad you think so!
You lost me at Hello lol Nice tutorials, I’m enjoying in relearning MK as I’m more of an ol school MK player from back in the day lol
I'm torn between sticking with erron black or not, i like him and his mix ups but im struggling with him, should i stay with him or move on
Hoping to finally play online one of these days...probably get my ass whooped but at least I can come over here to learn what I'm doing wrong :)

Always loved Mk. The guy here gets views bcs of ps plus also good for the video 👍
This vid was made pre-patch right? I think the armor for interactables went away on the latest patch, not sure.
serazac25 You can still armour Interactables, just not in the middle of block strings anymore :)

Thanks a lot
Noticeably FAT Soon!
what buttons do u need to press for each one of the metre things
im using keyboard btw.
It's the block button
Not everyone can do long combo chains, so the x-ray is the only way to get a large amount of damage for less-skilled players like me.
Same
Same
a little bit louder for the slower ones in the back
thanks this is great
What is start switch for block breaker?
Stance switch/ left trigger
