Happy Launch Day everybody! Casual to Competitive is returning in a big way. I'll be working as often as possible to deliver new episodes covering pretty much the entire game on a competitive level. Character videos will come during as well, make no mistake. We have big plans for Mortal Kombat 11. Much love and have fun! - Ketchup
Nice and concise video that'll surely help out my irl buddies looking to step up their mortal kombat game, you explain it way better then I ever could. Thanks for the great content K&M.
Everyone saying they recommend the in-game tutorial for people who’ve never played fighting games BUT!!! I’ve been playing Mortal Kombat 9 and XL for years and the tutorial taught me a lot of new mechanics in MK11 that I wouldn’t have known by looking at the command list. Take the tutorial, EVERYONE!
People new to fighting games should check out the lessons section in MK11. Someone put in a lot of work into those and they are genuinely good at giving you a feel for the game.
As much as I'd love this, that may conflict with the UA-cam algorithm and bring K&M less viewers. For instance someone searching competitive might not be sent here. Maybe they could fix that with tags, but I'm unsure. I just know these guys deserve the views and wouldn't want them to miss out!
As the name states, I am a kasual gamer trying to get good at MK11. That point about seeing the special move as a sequence and not panicking is lyfe!!! I think I needed to hear that.
The Human Montage nobody is OP in this game. Learn how to use Flawless block and the gaps of their strings and punish accordingly. Zoners aren’t supposed to be great at rush down so create some space.
Thanks @PNDK&M as you guys have the best tutorials I’ve seen as someone who is trying to get into MK11 as the first Kompetitive MK ever. I’ve of course played the series Kasually with friends but, this is the first game I’m taking Kompetitively.
Not sure if you knew this or not but if you press 3 each time a hit is performed in fatal blow it will increase its damage. Also it works on defense to decrease your opponents damage that is dealt
So glad you guys are doing this again. I got into MKX pretty heavily but haven't touched it (or any other fighting game) in a couple of years, so I definitely need a refresher. Thanks dudes!
I'll be checking these videos out for SURE. I'm not really a fighting game beginner but I'm totally a mk beginner so these will be amazing for me. Keep it up with the quality!
This is honestly amazing guys. The amount of depth you bring to these competitive videos is something literally no one else does to the standard you do! Keep up the incredible work
Watching this instead of playing the game because the Steam pre-load is horrible, thought it'd make me able to play the game immediately but instead it's been downloading the last 0.2gb for an hour. Thanks for bringing some content to help me practice without even having the game.
Just as NRS set the standard for fighting games, you guys set the standard for MK coverage. Thank you for making this. I hope we’ll get to see K&M vs The World return as that’s what really got me back into fighting games and playing online in general
I knew all of the topics of this video pretty well but I still appreciate the guides and I will definitely be watching them in the future. You earned yourself a subscriber
I must say, I am very impressed by this video. I been watching some tutorial vids to try and learn stuff, but yours is by far the best one. Not only does it in fact covers the basics, but you provide short but effective details to have a great understanding of the concepts. The pacing and transitions between topics is so professional as well. Great job!! You just got a new sub buddy!
Thank the algorithm for letting me see this needed this i tried getting into mkx but didn't have enough time to learn so now i have more time i can dedicate it to learning mk11 this vid really helps
As a newcomer to the series - I am so grateful for this already. Instantly subscribed and pressed the bell icon. This is my first MK and I suck and I can't wait to learn more from your videos.
@@IAmLif3ofdreads I spend a lot of time working, going to school, and editing gameplay so I have only got in about 15 online games. But the online is really smooth and some of the characters gameplay are really cool.
Ah thank god my private MK teacher came back... I was afraid you’re not going to do this series again. I would stuck in basics so, thank you Ketchup. Thanks Mustard
May as well get this out there but from a damage perspective, Fatal Blows can be buffed and/or nerfed if you time the X/A/B (3) button presses correctly. So FB's can be stronger (represented by a skull) or weaker (represented by a shield) as a result of these button presses during the move. I don't know if many people know about this returning feature but it may come in handy. I recommend practicing these inputs and studying each character's Fatal Blow as these buff/debuffs will only occur if you time each hit of the FBs correctly with the button inputs.
I just started learning fighting games in General, MK11 being my introduction to the more competitive scene lol this is great! Thanks so much for doing what you guys do! You're awesome!
I've learned alot the past few days but you're three videos helped me out alot more I watched them backwards too but it worked out because I already knew some stuff
Hey guys the first thing I like about this video is you guys are teaching well. Second thing is you guys have done kool kombos with sub zero in this video. 😁😁😁
Great video! The tutorials on the game are great, but I'd like to see some videos from you guys about it the most advanced parts of defense and pressure like frame traps, jailing and such.
great video, thanks for taking the time to do this! I think you should've included in the video that blocking causes you to be hit by high attacks. As a newcomer, I couldn't figure out why I was getting grab'ed while blocking. Perhaps something to consider for the MK12 video haha
2:48 I know the competitive notation (SQUARE/X - 1, TRIANGLE/Y - 2, X/A - 3, O/B - 4), but I have troubles to remember which one is FP, BP, FK, BK . Now I have the reference to refresh my memory. :) Thank you guys, you're the best!
Great videos from @PNDK&M and this is my first Mortal Kombat title I’m getting hardcore with and this is something that I need to learn first as well as the rest of the general mechanics so that way since Shao Kahn is my main right now when I master both of his Competitive Versions I can learn a new character’s competitive variations easier because I have a mastery of how the game in general works.
@PNDK&M Hey Buddy, thank you for this series! Im thank you so much! I only watched 1 min of the Video and it forced me to comment! Thank u again for this Professional Video!
Thanks a lot for this! I've put in a good amount of time learning Kung Lao since launch and could only get 2 Crushing Blows off, I had no idea that I could see his crushing blows in the Move list.
Subbed. Thank you for the easy to understand information. Haven't played a MK game in yonks and have a blister on my thumb from button mashing to do combos. Getting used to the flow. Now I just to learn how to block more often.

Being fast with the inputs is what still throws me off from MK11 (and X), since I have to do them way earlier than I'm used on other fg's, like, it's hard to get used to it, admittedly.
Duke not if you take some time with each character, i play three characters, and i end remembering all there fatal blows, but down the line once you’ve mastered like ten, then yeah maybe, i see your point
@@BuffRabbit You're right about that part, but I was thinking from more of a defensive standpoint. Trying to learn and prevent everyone else's Krushing blows

Beasterbunny Tags are what dictate UA-cam’s search algorithms. They can simple just keep “Competitive” and “Casual” as tags and it should be fine
