First thing, congratulations to Grumpy! As far as the pivot, it does seem weird when the larger sized bruisers have smaller pivots but I guess it’s more an aesthetic issue than a functional one. If you think about it, on a tag-along trailer, the Reese hitch is held in by a single pin, even if the trailer is rated for multiple thousands of pounds. This reminds me of an old adage in the watch world - if it does not have a good mechanism, it doesn't matter how pretty it is on the outside, it will never keep good time. Which is why any knowledgeable watch collector pays far more attention to the movement than the aesthetics. Knives also should be designed from the inside out. Make the function perfect, then make it pretty (or rugged or whatever the end visual design desired). But if you start with poor design, bad tolerances, wavy blade etc, then you are basically having to recreate the knife design. Looking at this knife, I would (personally) never buy a knife from this designer. Just the blade tolerance is a deal breaker for me. It is a KNIFE. The blade is the last item that should have tolerance issues. Thanks as always for the ramble. Cheers!
@@RamboAdventures-oi1mn this one definitely had its fair share of issues. I have owned several of his other folders and never had any issues.
