As older I get I’m looking for comfort still kept my Harley’s but I noticed going coast to coast once a year I saw older guys than me traveling and not complaining but they were riding bikes I never thought about owning, I did by a dyna 2006 and just love it and I just got the krator fairing but haven’t installed it yet, I’m reading all the tricks and advice before I start, thanks for the video
Yeah that’s good to hear, I’ve been sitting behind fairings lower covers lower fork air deflectors heated gear ,I guess I should have just bought a convertible ha ha but can’t wait to get this fairing on my dyna, I’m waiting on that head light block also
@@jamespolucha8790 yeah the headlight block is key to the fairing looking correct. I’ve seen people try not using one and it looks horrible. It’s definitely an inexpensive solution but if you take your time with the install and use good hardware the fairing is quite solid.
I was just about to make an update video. I just could not live with looking through that windshield. Sooo, I cut it down. I figured what do I have to lose. It came out great! The fairing not only looks better but I still get decent wind protection and as far as I can tell no buffeting. It was super easy to cut with painters tape, a jig saw, a fine tooth bi-metal blade, and I used a porter cable profile sander to clean up the edge. But honestly the cut was so clean very little sanding was needed. I LOVE IT. In my opinion my bike is much smoother now and it cuts the wind pressure of my chest so 60, 70 mph no problem for longer periods of time. Im goin to release a video so about it. Even if I did end up having to go with the Rifle windshield I still think this fairing offers good value for money.
Hey bud, I tried to order the extension block but I don't have time to wait before we leave for Sturgis from Houston. Would the Memphis shade block work as well? I can get it shipped in a couple days.
@@NoProJoe hey bud, that would be great. What kind of deal could you give me on 2 of them? Me and my dad both bought the fairing kit for our upcoming Sturgis trip
Did you get any buffering? I ordered the Krator and I like the idea of making the slight modifications to the windscreen mount but am wondering if it’s worth it to try it out before buying a anti-buffering kit.
The short answer is it depends. Most day I’d say no but sometimes the wind currents are just right and I feel a slight buffering pressure on my head. Overall the fairing has made a huge difference in high speed riding. I no longer feel like I’m being pushed off the back of the bike.

I’ve enjoyed the fairing so far. It makes a gage difference with Highway riding over the longer distances

Where did you get the extra stuff to make your windshield solid?
Local ace hardware. They have all the grommets, well nuts, spacers, and sleves.
Did you end up replacing the windshield? Thinkin about ordering but concerned about visibility

@@NoProJoe much appreciated, love the videos and the bike, I got a 2013 Street bob 👍
@@stephenparker6294 Thank you! Glad to help.
Awesome Bike sound. Enjoy!
Thanks man! Something a little different. :) I hope all is well for you and yours.
Great vid Joe! :)
Thank you!
Will it fit an iron 1200 ???
I don’t believe this particular fairing will fit your sportster. Do you have a top mounted headlight or a bottom mounted light?
2021 top mounted
@@yeahbuddylopez it won’t work without a lot of modifications. Best to find another type of fairing.
