It's seems clear this project is very important to Bering, and they want things to be perfect for you. I'm sure they feel that way about all their clients, but this being Hull #1 and yours makes it especially important. Bering's willingness to go the extra mile is what makes them extraordinary.
Them being UA-camrs that millions of people see probably has a lot to do with it as well lol.. bearing will probably get a few sales just because people see their videos and like the style, so they’ll put in a LOT of effort because this is their free advertisement lol
We say something similar when the designers come to our upholstery/interiors shop with new ideas... The very difficult we can do immediately, the impossible will take a little longer.
I really like the bits with Vladimir lol 😂 that poor tortured man 😂 I loved his beer helmet idea there’s always room for a good beer helmet ! How awesome is it that your interior design team are actually friends of yours that had to of been a very pleasant surprise ! Now I’m off to watch your other video. You really make me look forward to Saturday mornings. 🥰
Victoria, "Was it that bad? Was it torture?" Vladimir instantly head down... Love it! Glad you guys can now work with a team closer to you. It's all coming together and Alexi's shipyard is booming.
Great video. Carla's Dutch Falcon 25M Salon is stunning - do that for sure (without the sharp corners on stair rails). 1st world problems like "What to do with my $5 million luxury yacht" should always make you want to laugh. All that space on the deck in front of the pilot house would be less wasted if you put a custom (aluminum) jacuzzi in that space (6', 7' or 8' x 8'). Better for a charter vessel obviously; so stop thinking of the extra cleaning work and start thinking like a business owner. Even if you don't implement an infinity soaker tub on day one, I would wire and plumb this area for a tub later - so that it's possible, planned for, and easy, now while the deck is open (the 4-minute drain and refill tub solution was best). Great decision bringing in the CrewChef btw.
I don't know many interior designers, but *Carla Guilhem* is by far my favorite! ❤ I saw her work on _Lady Lene_ with *Yachts for Sale* and I absolutely loved it! This build just gets better and better.
The high drawlick beam, can u yous put it in the floor, away from everything, like you put it down into the floor, and when yous are going to use it, it opens a sliding door from the floor, then comes up and you can pick up your dingee, or speeddoos. And once the boat is in the water, yous can put the beam back into the floor, and put out what ever yous plan on putting there!😊
In the boat yard where I work, we love client involvement. It shows the client is excited and interested in the work we are doing. It's very motivating. Feels like the work is appreciated. It's very satisfying to know we are delivering the owner's dream boat to them. In the case of Rico and Victoria, Bering receive a lot of thought, design and development work from 2 very experienced and knowledgeable boating enthusiasts, not to mention great exposure for their brand. I expect the expansion of the Bering operation has been contributed to by this channel
I wonder...will you be showing off this soon to be beauty, at international boat shows? You two would make incredible ambassadors for Bering Yachts. Love seeing the progress. May the sun always shine on your faces, and the wind be at your backs!
@@NautiGuys It would be a hoot to meet you both some day. See Rico proudly showing off his beastly sound system and all her gadgets...😂Maybe I could get Victoria to open every cabinet for me...dare to dream eh! 🤣
Great Episode. Looking forward to see what Neena has to say about the galley design. Nice to see you are using a US based interior designer. Easier flying to Miami than Antalya. As far as the railing for the lounging area, Instagram of a railing can you use glass? Advantage would be you would t have a railing there, and you can se right through it. Just my thought. As Far as the number of speakers for sound system, I am with Rico, you can never have too many speakers!
You're becoming quite an ambassador for Bering Yachts with all the videos you've already made about their yachts and now with this serie. Maybe it should be Alexi paying you for these amazing ads. :)
Having the designers in Miami will make this so much easier. There's a million decisions to make, but you will get through it, and your boat will be beautiful!
The sub-woofer installation is more important than probably expected. The low frequency sound and high Db might travel right through the boat with that annoying "thump, thump". The issue is much more critical if they are built in, which is what is happening here. Maybe put the sub-woofers in the engine room, Lol.
Rico, I've realized that with y'all documenting the build that no detail is going to be missed as the project progresses. Victoria will be able to go back and watch the video and say wait we forgot this on there or this is what we decided at this time we visited.
It must be so exciting to walk around the 75. I'm sure your yacht will be stunning with the time and effort you two and the Bering team are putting in.
Love the videos! Doesn't Bering use 3D CAD renderings where you (and we) can see on a laptop what different design options would look like? I would think the spatial and color representations of cabinets, counters, furniture, etc. would be helpful.
"Can we move the staircase" 😂😂 That poor guy. An option for the staircase could be to do the railing only to the beginning of the last recessed step, or even half way of that step, to give you that extra 3-6" of space and comfort.
Nina's career is at the point of working 80+ meter yachts, not 24 meters. She's kinda big time. Bottom line, they couldn't afford Nina. Nina is looking over their galley design to possibly make suggestions, that is all. She's doing it as a favor for friends.
For complex interior spaces, that are hard to visualize, use mock ups, POW ........... done!!!!!!! Anxious to see the hull being faired, plus the explosive sound system. Boat has zero vibration, until Rico cranks the bass, yes we know it's all about the bass!!!!!!!!!!
5:01 You see? All of us dudes are thinking the same thing: subwoofers! Additionally, the air pressure created by the low-frequency sound waves will increase the stability of the vessel as they travel outward from the dance floor...uh, I mean sky lounge 😁 Okay, it's a stretch. But, I mean, cmon...subwoofers!! Yeah!
@Steve hey, don't threaten me with a great time, I remember ABBA "Dancing Queen" was bad ass back in the "before times". If a sailing yach designer can show his clients what the design they'll be building from scratch looks like in virtual reality, why can't this big shipyard do the same thing for its clients? See RAN Sailing episode 326, titled "Using Virtual Reality for Boat Design", Wouldn't it be great if you could actually see the changes you are making and what they would look like? Working with Carla Guilhem and Nina Wilson is a huge deal. But I wish I understood more about the contracting of the interior designer etc. Who hires them and who pays them? Does the interior designer set the GA or the naval architect? What if an owner wants the GA and some features from one design house, and the finishing by another. When a boat's price is listed, does that include everything or is that a structure that floats and can be driven? You've hit the daily double with these two I'm a huge Nina Wilson fan and I've watched your 2022 Van Der Valk video more often than I'll admit to.
