Under power the boat has no vibrations until Rico starts the sound system :)
Hahaha! Let’s see how much that Bering can take 😝
Wow! As an audiophile I am blown away. Have never heard of this brand but they are very very intriguing! Thank you for sharing your visit to them!
Glad you like them! Check them out 🥳
Was about to comment almost the same thing. I am blown away! Wireless speakers have come SO far in the past few years. This brand is amazing
@@NautiGuys loud speakers can become hot if overpowered. Run one of those at hight volume for an hour and test for temperature!
@@kubibear2890 That's a good point - hopefully their aluminum design helps to dissipate that heat!
@@kubibear2890 That'll have been done in the R&D stage.
Absolutely Incredible Rico and Victoria, Wonderful People who Know their Business and how to Present it, Looking forward to hearing these sounds from your 75 ❤
Our pleasure!
The sound from such a small speaker is incredible. I have never heard of this brand, but will definitely save it. The sound system on your boat will be unbelievable. Can't wait for the next video to come out.
awww thanks Paul
The personalized intro and sassy behavior was soo fun to watch. This elite audio engineering for compact application is so cutting edge in terms of demand and necessity. I was recently at a Bose outlet store and was sad to see how much the quality has declined (and price increased). Cheap and Chinese is becoming the norm, I'll be checking out this company. You might want to title your pt 2 video for more algorithmic appeal as I'd see this video getting a lot of traffic given the content.
Thanks Jasper... I'm not sure I understand your last sentence though...
@@NautiGuys I'm not a tuber so I don't understand the details behind youtubes search algorithms. A click bate title is annoying at times but if increase views and the contents good, like yours, worth it.
This is such an intriguing sound system! Thanks for showing us. Can't wait for the 2nd part.
Coming soon!
the Lyzards + Rumble combo are perfect for the staterooms even the master. People forget that a large part of the magic is not seeing where the voluminous sound comes from. Perfect for a yacht!
thanks Lotus Eletre
YEEEEESSSSSS!!!! Sound! Finally en episode I can get behind, AND it features Rico!
Finally?? 😝😂🤷♀️
@@NautiGuys it was just click bait 😁 I love everything you guys produce, but it's always fun to see Rico geek out on tech, especially sound. As a House DJ myself, we're kindred spirits
Amazing! Can't wait to see how many knots the party deck speakers will add to the cruise speed. Just don't add low rider jumping to the stabilizers!
😝😝😝 hilarious
Ok, you two are just showing out now…
This is going to be such a detailed craft; a work of art, for hire, of course. Safe to say you are living your best life.
lol yess
Great video but I do not think I can wait for part 2 though. I dislike restaurants that have the music too loud to talk or the lights too low to even r read the menu. I am surprised a group of people did not follow Victoria out of the hat store caring the rest of her purchases. Lastly, I am IMPRESSED by the size of the speakers. Bring on Part 2.
I still have your TJR opening DJ set from 2016 on high rotation, a Friday night favourite! Can’t wait to see the system you configure 🔈🔉🔊
Awesome! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank you!
It’s such fun to see you on land without a boat in the background. I’m so glad that you had the opportunity to spend time in Tuscany! What you showed us was absolutely beautiful! It was delightful to see how excited Rico was, as you all went in to talk about the audio equipment! This audio system is amazing! I’m so happy you’ll be having this on your yacht. Love from Vermont
Us too! so so excited
loved seeing her shopping
Victoria, I'm surprised Rico didn't give you a taste of your own medicine in the restaurant when you kept obsessing over the pasta; "Stop interrupting me!" 😂😂😂
😝😂🙈
Looking forward to seeing Rico van Buuren next weekend at Ultra Miami 😎
Can’t wait 😝😝
This was amazing! I can’t wait to see what Rico chooses!
🙈🤦♀️ get ready 😝😝
Rico not only hits it out of the park on this one but the ball was not recovered.... The intro could have been adventure in Tuscany/food& wines NautiStyle. Victoria's innocence exiting the hat shop was too cute! (Sho-bee-doup-do-ahh) The K-Array tour was just another Bucket List Top 5 for Rico and a few thousand "audiophiles/NautiGuys across the globe.
you got that right Michael
Crazy. Can hardly wait for the rest of the tour.
🙈🙌🏻🥳 see you next week
Problem with these kind of system is, that the subwoofer does most of the low mids. Means higher x-over. Means you need equal distance from sub to the mini column speaker for good sound. That's why I don't like them. But in case you need to hide sound it's maybe the best way. In my case I would go with Void Acoustic Venu or Cyclones, cause I want the speakers to be a part of the design concept.

Come in le Marche region guys ❤
Brilliant editing of the pasta hanging out of Rico's mouth. If Tuscany had oceanfront you guys would be living there.
Right??? Sooooo goooood
I would go for L Accoustic Syva. But they might be too huge for the yacht. The sound seems to be quite nice for that small footprint of the K array speaker
Please be careful. The magnetic front of the viper speaker might be strong enough to interfere with the bridge compass or auto pilot flux gate. You must know the absolute distance of magnetic interference.
Your dream was pasta, pizzia, clothes sightseeing, dragging poor Rico around with you. But Rico finally got to do his dream - innovative sound system from K-arry. Rico is in his dream.
😝😂🤷♀️
All Rico’s NBBL dreams are coming true 😝🙈
lol yesss
More people would mistake them for microphones before they would think they are speakers.
Right?? Bananas!!
Warning! Watch this video with some good cushy headphones & crank up the volume all the way. As well in the part 2 video.
😝😝🙈🙈 and TRUST me it doesn't do the justice... our mics killed so much of the sound 🙈
Impatient de voir l'accomplissement de cette oeuvre maritime.

This is DJ Rico Rox coming at you onboard Sea Jockey, get ready for a Tidal Wave of sound.
lol you got that right 222infinity 🤣💙🙏
Great video. I especially loved the talk to the hand gesture ti Rico in the beginning.
lol
Hi, great video, i did not know the products of this company. Thanks for this discovery! Rico has the right attitude, with BIG SUB WOOFER it will propel your yacht and save on fuel!!!🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Our pleasure! 😝😂😂😂 wish that would be true
You guys are having to much fun! 😊
Yes we are 😝😝
DJ Rico wants to pump that German techno ja 🤘🤘
You know you can buy marine grade studio monitors. They use XLR connections that can easily integrate with optical DAC from a sound card in a server rack. Maybe overkill but definitely cool to have if your goal is to run a no-compromise party boat.
Looking forward to see what gear you guys choose.
lol Thanks for watching Luscious3174
Boom
Boom, boom, boom 😝
I love how Victoria is like oh the beautiful restaurant and shops and delicious food but in Rico's head it's it's like a squirrel and nuts, yeah yeah yeah speakers, speakers, speakers 😀
😝😂😂😂😂
My mind is blown. I'm not even there, I watched this on the internal speakers in a TV because I'm rewiring the home theatre (7.2 Dennon amp, Bower & Wilkins speakers, custom subs) and I'm still blown away. Unfortunately, I suspect my pocketbook would not survive the experience of even the smallest of their systems which is a pity because I'd love those baby ones in some of the other rooms of the house.
Thanks for watching Marvin 💙🙏
Going to have to anchor 20 miles from anyone else!!!

This channel is slowly becoming my favorite of your two channels❤
Wow, thank you!
Just wow, I turned on my system, and the camera sound was pretty good!!

One of Italy's best regions for sure
👌🏻🥳🥳
I have Bose 901 and Axioms M80s and I have to say that sounded pretty nice to me
👌🏻
It is a challenge to mix a desire for the whole boat to rock to the same party beat with the requirement for individual cabins in close proximity to play radically different sound without one cabin interfering with the next.
Rico lost his mind…we knew that a long time ago😂
Hahahaha
I love Italy since I had the opportunity to work on a project with Italian engineers at a manufacturer in the Milan area. These guys love life and their work. Man, did I enjoy this episode, so typical Italian!
awww thanks for watching Peter 💙🙏
Hi,
as an enthusiastic spectator of your videos and as an experienced sound engineer and…
as a “realistic audiophile” (ie: NOT a typical hi-fi worshipper ; )
I think I owe you few suggestions:
1-Try to keep your sound sources (hi-mid fr speakers) as CLOSE as possible to your estimated “partying” target (people) if you want to avoid non-partying guests ears bleeding ; )
Eg: If you have the room try to use many small speakers (which apparently you have access ; ) encircling and close to the partying people instead of powerful one or two speakers (forget the stereophony and phase cancellations etc, you are not in a recording studio, even in a recording studio I rather trust my headphones then the fancy monitors, long story… ; )
2-Sub bass is OMNI directional…
Meaning: Once it is activated it conquers all directions AND physical structures as vibration transmitting structures… (So definitely consider shock aborbing devices for subs similar to the ones used in engines)
3-Another typical and underrated source of “annoying sound” is sound reflecting hard surfaces!
One may have the “best” sounding speakers yet if those are in a resonating reflectif (not acousticaly dampened) enclosed area they WILL sound BAD!🤷🏻♂️
4-Nowadays, including myself (60 years old) most people prefer headphones far more than speakers. So you may save a lot espescially in “bedrooms” ; )
🙏🖖
Great video 😘👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Rico wearing Gone with the Wynns merch. 😃
Yep!! Love them @gonewiththewynns
@@NautiGuys Me too, I mean Jason of @gonewiththewynns is after all my double 5th cousin (those Ozark roots!). 😂
Speaking of must have things................. have you looked at Toroidal props?
Those tiny speakers pack a big punch 🤜; are you freaking kidding me! Wow! Never heard of that company, but now I’m in the know….
🥳🥳🥳
This all sounds phase-shifted through UA-cam, but it still comes across as pretty amazing. Did they say they are building the drivers out of billet aluminum? They look like the sort of things you add to an HO train engine for sound effects. I'd like to know what the crossover frequency is for the subwoofer - I suspect it's doing the heavy lifting for everything up into the vocal range. REALLY looking forward to the next video. I want to see Rico's DJ deck!
Solid pieces, we will show the design
Holy crap yes! Those would be perfect for the best quality sound and would fit in any tender easily. Great idea!
a PART II for sound...????? LOL Okay, Rico is in his element and these guys (K-array) seem to be "Elemental Wizards!"
😝🤷♀️🙌🏻🥳
I would think Both the rectangular, and 'lighter' size would be perfect for headboards in the staterooms, with a woofer close,so TV and music will be where you can hear them easily, but not outside of the rooms.Obviously they'll work everywhere such as under,or in ledges/trim.That's so Awesome they designed them so well.Your ship will ROXing !
lol nicely put BryDuhBikeGuy 💙🙏
@@NautiGuys TY. I'll be Very happy when I can sail aboard someday too.TY for all your hard work, and I'm so happy it's helping you do this.
Now I understand why K-Array speakers are so good - they're not even using cast aluminum like Genelec does (and they're the best of the best in studio-quality reference audio), they're using BILLET CNC frames. That not only reduces heat buildup, it also reduces resonances and weird harmonics that can cause fatigue and boominess.
I think you mean 'youR' mind? Maybe proof read before posting? 😂😁 ~just saying.... 😉
Rico, the technology today is just mind-boggling. I used to DJ at the ABC rock superlounge in Central Florida which sat 540 guests. They had a great sound system on the dance floor and threw the venue. In the 90s I worked for a guy used to be Allman Brothers guitar tech. I was his sound engineer and lighting designer and he had purchased the Allman Brothers old road gear that we used for events. Nothing that small, when I hired him originally to do sound at a concert I put together outdoors at a stadium he brought the equipment out and we had to stack it, it was 15 ft tall. 4 1/2 ft tall bass bins, 3 ft tall midranges, and horns on top of that. It was the Allman Brothers old touring gear.
Impressive!!!
Agreed
So basically they took tweeter and shrunk the overall size of the driver. There will have to be mid range speakers and subs in the system to fill out the sound or you get nothing but highs with a very, very thin mid range and no sub/bass. Sorry but that is what I hear listening via head phone, my Edition XS, SMSL SU9n and Topping A30 Pro. Granted my gear is not top of the line as far as price but it has some of the best measurements out there and isn't what I would call cheap although someone with money to burn might. So I understand what they're doing by placing small tweeters basically but you have to have speakers for sub 50hz to say 150hz, lower mids, mid and upper mid range somewhere or all you will get are the sparkly highs and a very thin mid range/vocals/strings/horns/toms/snares and bass drum/drums basically the main body of the music will be missing. Granted UA-cam compression is also affecting what I hear on my end so that could be a factor. What they've basically done is break down regular speakers into their various component speakers into smaller packages that you can place where you need as long as you balance all ranges and size of driver will matter for that. It's a good idea and they've executed well from what I saw but anyone who owns a decent set of IEMs knows that a tiny device if designed and built correctly and using the correct driver tech can give you a concert hall in the palm of your hand via DD, BA, ES, Planar, BC and other various miniature drivers. I hope you get to build the system that you want and that you are graced with many, many years of music and friends to enjoy it with...
Fair winds, following seas, safe travels and God Bless...
Our Maga swingers club in Tennessee, plans a 30 days Caribbean vacation, your boat is perfect, thanks.
What were you in Tuscany? We live near FLorenz, Bagno a Ripoli! That's one thing. Have you also been to "San Gimignano"? There is an ice cream parlor and the owner is an 8-time world champion!
I loved this episode. Didn’t know about this company.
Maybe one day I will be able to afford a week on your charter.
If you do a charter in Croatia let me know so I can wave at you.😂
Deal!
great video, great pasta
So good 😋😋😋😋
I Really Really hate seeing people walking around recording with cell phones 📱.. and taking Pics of Doors yeah a Fu*king Door 😂. They are always looking at where they are through a Camera screen when they could just look at the scenery in real life . Just Hilarious 😅
Nautiguys --- I don't know it this tip would be of use to you but when I was laying out my photo studio/office/etc I layed out blue tape on the floor and layed out room size, pieces of furniture, where doors would go and which way they'd open (door clearances). I caught some big errors that way. I also taped pieces of paper on the walls to judge window sizes, hanging samples of my work on the wall.
K-array must fall into the "If you have to ask" category", and must be doing okay financially because their online presence is woeful. Barley any objective reviews like this one with people conveying what they hear. Exciting to 'hear' them in an actual cabin environment.
Would either one of you do me a favor please? Ask Mr. Alexei Mikhailov this. In and around the waters of Spain and the Straights of Gibraltar orcas are attacking sailboats and yachts successfully sinking three. Researchers say the orcas are teaching each other how and where others boats to attack and disable it either by ramming or tearing off the rudders. There is no doubt in my mind that these attacks will eventually be on a global scale. How safe are we and the yacht from these creatures? Can counter measures be employeed, like delivering a strong electrical shock, to deter these creatures?
Thank you.
Sean Ogren
Duluth, MN
Oh trust me it all came across. Thanks for letting us know about KArray and the brilliant men and women there. Un unbelievable. 😊
our pleasure 💙🙏
This is small potatoes but idea for the boat from a chef, pilot, boater. Build in either a swing out table, or a cabinet at counter height with a pull out and pocket door that you can fit a kitchen aid mixer on/in. If you love the dishwasher you’ll die for the ability to cleanly easily make fresh breads, cookies, dips, potato’s, add the pasta roller attachment for simple fresh pasta, meat grinder so you can carry whole cuts and grind for the best burgers and sausages ever, and food processor for emulsion sauces, fresh salsas. It will add massive functionality to your galley and your chef will love you.
A Friday vid?? Hells yeah❤
Enjoy l!!
Can I just say, I enjoyed the first 4 minutes the most 🤣 (While I love music, I just can't get exited about the sound system as such.)
lol 😝😂😂 BUT pasta? right?! 😝😝
@@NautiGuys Right!! 🤣

Noice!!
Sometime in a few years, when you’re chartering or just partying, a full Rico Rox set on the Bering with lots of Nautistyle fun!
you got that right
Ricco needs to open a store on the boat, Hmmmm ! all your guests on board will be asking where is this music coming from, where are the speakers and Ricco can go into sales mode haha
i'm obviously no sound expert, but often in places i cannot hear people as i realise the sound is bouncing around off hard surfaces, i hate live pub music because the sound is all wrong, some clubs i have been to have good and bad areas, one place i went to, the sound was so awful it actually caused my beer to vibrate off the table, when you leant against the pillars, they shook, its funny how years later the place was pulled down, i reckon the sound weakened the structure hehe
but this is so refreshing to hear that restaurants need to be playing not just soft music, but at a flatter wave so that guests can still enjoy themselves and each other and still have the background lift music
Ricco makes a good selling point with Bering allowing them to film, its free advertising, other companies should really get on board with this mentality, sure if things are secret then lock it away, access to most areas but not company sensitive, totally agree with all of this, epic video party time
This makes me wonder if they've experimented around with planars when he mentioned the spec wanting a fast attack and good transients. Maybe they stick with cones to keep the presence, as Rico mentions.
Great stuff, fun video as always you two!
Thank you sooo much Emil 💙
Well considering that a coefficient of .02 between planars and transients regarding the specs I am not so sure that the presence with the cones will make much of a difference. A fast attack and good transients will require at least .06. Also I have absolutely no clue as to what I am talking about.
They look good and are very space efficient for the space on a boat. As an audiophile, I cannot appreciate the sound. You have to get the speaker out from the wall in order for it to image. Without a sound stage it is not interesting to me. The limitation of the sound is apparent in the video. Looks neat and might be what you want, but not very good sound.
My father-in-law was a huge audiophile. He only used Klipsch (sp). That was like his holy grail speakers. Then when he moved out of his house, he just gave them away to some kid that was in a band. He couldn't be bothered to try and sell them
Oh my! Love that brand
That’s crazy!!
I LOVE Klipsch!
The sub woofer is so important
The passion from the sound and design guy is infectious. Speakers are so important. Great speakers can transform a sound system but not the other way.
Wow, wow, wow 🤯😮. This was one of the most unusal but interesting video from the history of your ownership of a BERING master piece. It combined the elements of a travel video with beautyful impressions of tuscany lifestyle and art and one of my other interests HIFI. When i saw the demonstration (a heard it) of these incredible small but well built beautyfull speakers i remembered when i got a demonstration of two BOSE Soundcube in the End of the 80's. This was so mindblowing. Thank you so much for your passion to entertain, teach and motivate us and have always good vibes.
Thank you kindly, really glad you are enjoying us experimenting with the content types
GFBSA (Greetings from Ballito - South Africa😜) Oh wow! This kind of promo video illustrating the cool features on your new baby is amazing, and it gives such a different dimension to your build. 😉
But even more than that, it gives the manufacturers, and new owners great ideas, as well as being really fun entertainment. This is awesome stuff guys, and I certainly hope that you will continue right through until the final launch and sea trials.
I can't wait to see your next NBBL ideas illustrated like this😜
Keep up the great work. Take care, and be safe out there.

Yes Tuscany is 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 food, wine, views, ladies
WOW indeed!!!!
🙈😝
I would like to see a sound spectrum analysis of those small tweets. I don’t believe it’s possible to get down to a mid range, or low mid. With a phizo tweeter. There’s got to be a 4.5 mid somewhere. Don’t get me wrong, I am finding this amazing. Technology can to awesome things, but there’s more speakers somewhere. Truly hoping I learn something here. And technology has surpassed my somewhat old school knowledge.
technology has been changing at lighning fast speed - it’s insane…
Going to be a badass sound system on the yacht.
