I've worked building ships and buildings for nearly 50 years.
Before the finish work is completed it always looks much larger than what you will realize.
Your concern is normal, but when the finish work is completed it will be a completely different feeling.
It seems overwhelming, in the end it will be much better and some areas, believe it or not, will seem to small.
    Finishing makes a huge difference.

I've been deeply involved in several builds between 60 and 115 feet (and one much larger) and while I do agree with you this thing is a massive 75-footer, the gross tonnage of this thing is incredibly huge for her size.

That's what I said - it will be/feel smaller when finished. I look at the 77 video and it sure doesn't seem all that big - and this one is smaller than the 77

@@NautiGuys Since you are "overwhelmed" by the 75 ft size...simple fix...quite dreaming so big LOL 😂😂
next time you want a "new boat"...just think about a dingy 😂
Once you go thru systems school & get thru a few months on your new yacht you wont even worry about the size. ALL new things take our brain some time to wrap around the new adventure...but, then the brain one day just gets use to the routine and it's no longer "overwhelming". 🌊

Add more couches. If that makes it look smaller.
      Or, a lounge chair.
Eventually, it will look smaller. On the interior.

This was once again a video in which Victoria showed the difference that sets you apart from other channels. You are still down to earth despite your success and professionalism. When Victoria questions your decision at the beginning of the video about the size of your 75 foot "baby" she reminds me of an expectant mother who only wants the best for her family. And I have absolutely no worries that you will begin another successful and impressive new chapter in your lives with your future home/workplace/party place/guest paradise. We would be happy if we can continue to accompany you 😊

That boat will shrink around you when she's on the water and running. With all the systems, automation, and thought that has gone into its design, I think your confidence level will increase very quickly once you're actually onboard and using her. But having said that I really did appreciate Victoria's candour on how scared she was after wandering around the superstructure. So the boat is so stable and so well wired, you'll be fine. You got this. Rico especially. You got the remote too. Once it's all filled out, you'll see It as your home and not this giant thing. It won't be that big anymore. You are envisioning a boat that is ginormous and also not as stable, put together and 'bouncy'. You will definitely be able to keep things stable and once it is put together, just like the 77, you'll be fine with it all. And as your confidence grows each day, you look forward to the day you can get a bigger boat,

I saw an old You Tube video for a couple that cruised a 76 foot Nordhavn double handed. The wife was worried about working the boat, but in the end, it was well within their capability. They did budget to have hull cleaning with professional divers, and exterior cleaning when they went into the marina. But otherwise, system maintenance, interior upkeep, etc, was handled by the two of them. In fact, they thought in some ways it was easier, since they had better access and more room, and the type and number of systems was really any different from a 55 Ft boat, just upsized.

Small expense with many benefits if you plan on being a two person crew at times.

Watching this build of your "75" is a tremendous way for others to decide; build NEW or buy USED. It is a huge undertaking that will always challenge your boating/charter wants and needs. Even when you do sea trials, there will be items that you see and wish to be modified. May you have very good luck with the rest of the build and be certain that your boat fits your needs well into the future. So good to see the emotion that goes into the process of planning and then building. It can bring great joy and tears at the same time. Look at it this way it's like building a house, That's just the frame work of the ship. Wants the framing and walls and electrical, ceilings furniture are put in. It's still gonna be a big boat but a lot smaller at the same time. Very happy for the both of you.👍👍👍👍👍

Big Boat Blues, yes a 75 is a big boat but in no time you'll be absolutely pleased you have built the ultimate world cruising Yacht....
I often rewatch your Bering 77 tour videos and I couldn't imagine you both on anything but a Bering!!!
And let's face it you're actually building the best Bering yet, your Bering ❤️😍👍😜
This is a dream most of us can only dream of and yes Victoria you'll be an "Old Hand" in no time so you will wonder why you ever had any reservations about it's size.
Live it, Love it like only you and Rico can❤️❤️❤️

@@NautiGuys This is an incredible journey you are taking us on and love seeing you both excited with each step of the build, it seems like Christmas all over again in every video.
After I've watched your lastest videos I'm excitedly waiting to see the next instalment in this amazing build.... 😁😋😊
The drive you both have is inspiring. Most people do it for greed and this is where you are both so different, it's your passion for life and creating a fantastic lifestyle.... ❤
From my own experience I seldom just stopped to smell the roses so I hope you will finally get to have the break to enjoy what you have accomplished when she(or he) is launched.
Please both of you take care and stay safe.
      Kind regards,
      AL😊😁❤

I remember the feeling when we had our first house built. All of the decisions to be made, the changes that we asked for - it got pretty overwhelming (and expensive). I imagine the feelings you have for your yacht are like that, times 3 or 4, at least. But I think as the boat comes together, and the interior spaces get filled in with the finish work and furnishings, it won't seem quite so big. All of the decisions still to be made might still be a bit overwhelming, but you will get accustomed to the size, and the finished interior won't feel so big. And once you take possession and start moving your things onboard and outfitting it for charters, I'd wager that you might even wish it was bigger! It's an amazing journey to have such a beautiful custom yacht built; thanks for taking us all along with you!

Believe me, you will grow into it. When I first built my house I too was overwhelmed. Some years later I added on.
A boat you get what you get. There’s no adding later. You can always close off areas but you can’t add to a boat

    • @davidsinclair47

I hear about boats getting added on to all the time. It's steal and aluminum so it can be cut and extended and rewelded. Fiberglass and composites are a different story.

Superyachts get extended quite often; however, they _probably_ won't be doing that.

I've been on an older 80'+ that seemed comparable to what they easily fit in a sunreef 60. So I could understand a 75' might feel overwhelming. They lay them out so perfectly now that you get so much more boat per foot. I'm so excited for you both!

Congratulations! A 75' boat is BIG and I'm sure it looks and feels huge during the build. Y'all know, it'll shrink more than a bit when it's launched and you're in the middle of a body of water. That being said, you're certainly entitled to be a little overwhelmed. Your yacht is going to be incredible, and I can't wait to see it. You've poured your years of boating into it, you have a terrific support system, and an excellent builder. You'll be fine! One day soon, you'll look back at the build process and wonder why you were so stressed.. LOL

You will be surprised how quickly you will become comfortable with the size of the boat. I went from a 33 to 49 and now a 59 foot boat in just a few years and recently helmed a friends 98 footer. Yes it was big but it still "drives" the same. In hindsight my 33 footer was actually the hardest as it was very light and only had a single engine. The only downside is you need more water (space) around you but then you get all that space on the boat. However, as you are discovering (@ 04:50), you still want more! You're going to love it.
