ഇന്ന് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ മുതൽ പ്രായമാവവർ വരെ ഒരു പോലെ നേരിടുന്ന പ്രശ്നമാണ് മാനസിക പിരിമുറുക്കം. കേൾക്കാൻ ആരുമില്ല എന്ന തോന്നലാണ് പലപ്പോഴും ഡിപ്രഷൻ പോലെയുള്ള അവസ്ഥകളിലേക്ക് നമ്മളെ എത്തിക്കുന്നത്. ചിലർ സ്വയം അതിന് പരിഹാരം കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു.ചിലർ സ്വന്തമായി ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയാതെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ പകച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്നു. സത്യത്തിൽ ക്യാൻസറിനേക്കാൾ മാരകമായ അവസ്ഥയാണ് ഡിപ്രഷൻ. പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കാനും ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാനും ഒരാളുണ്ട് എന്ന തോന്നലണ് ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സമ്പാദ്യം. സമ്പാദിക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു തൊഴിൽ മാത്രമായാണ് ഇന്ന് മിക്ക സൈക്കോളജിസ്റ്റും ഈ മേഖലയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്. അത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ സൈക്കോളജിസ്റ്റിനെ തെരെഞ്ഞെടുക്കുമ്പോൾ കൂടുതൽ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണം. പല സൈക്കോളജിസ്റ്റിനും രോഗിയുടെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കാനും ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാനും സമയമില്ല.... കൂടാതെ രോഗിയെ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത് പോലെയുള്ള സൈക്കോളജിസ്റ്റിൻ്റെ സംസാരവും മണിക്കൂറിന് വലിയ തുക ഫീസ് ആയി ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നതും രോഗിയെ കൂടുതൽ നിരാശപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് ഇവരുടെ സേവനം വേണ്ട എന്ന തീരുമാനത്തിലേക്കു രോഗിയെ എത്തിക്കുകയും സ്വയം മാനസിക പീഢനം ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി ഉരുകി ഉരുകി ജീവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.... നല്ലൊരു സൈക്കോളജിസ്റ്റിന് ഈസിയായി രോഗിയെ സഹായിക്കാനും അവരെ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ട് വരാനും സാധിക്കും. ഒരു സൈക്കോളജിസ്റ്റിന് രോഗിയോട് സിംപതിയേക്കാൾ എംപതിയാണ് വേണ്ടത്‌.അശ്വതി അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ഈ സൈക്കോളജിസ്റ്റിൽ ഞാൻ കണ്ടത് എംപതിയാണ്....gd job അശ്വതി...keep it up..

ഇന്നും ഡിപ്രഷൻ എന്താണ് അത് മനസ്സിനെ എത്രത്തോളം മുറിവേല്പിക്കും എന്നൊക്കെ അറിയാത്തവർ ആണ് ഭൂരിഭാഗം ആളുകളും പ്രത്യേകിച്ചു മലയാളികൾ.
അവരെ ഭയന്നിട്ടാണ് ഡിപ്രഷൻ നേരിടുന്ന പലരും സൈക്കോളജിസ്റ്റിനെ കാണാൻ മടിക്കുന്നതും ഉറ്റവരോട് പോലും തന്റെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ പറയാൻ മടിക്കുന്നതും.
കുഴിയിൽ വീണാൽ ഒരു കയർ ഇട്ട് തന്നാലും അതിൽ കയറി പിടിച്ചു മുകളിലോട്ടു വരാൻ കഴിയാത്ത മാനസിക അവസ്ഥയെ പോലെയാണ് ഡിപ്രഷൻ.
