    Id like to see how you built the shaft going through the boat and how you sealed it

    Those little single cyl engines sure vibrate a lot, enough to shake a camera off its mount! LOL

    I really think you should try a steeper prop. I feel like it could pull it, it looks like you could load that engine up a bit more just fine.

    Can you make a video showing the build? How did you protect the prop?

      I used 1 pillow block bearing, some rubber for a seal(70 shore a hardness tpu) and HDPE plastic. All is clamped together with two threaded 5/16's" rods and washers/nuts

    Dear Brandon, please how did you connect engine with propeller shaft. I saw that thailand guys use to use some universal joint ... but I can not find them available in my location. Do you think that some direct connection will make problems becuase of engine vibration ? Thank you

      I have some respect for the ocean as to not toss cigarette butts into it, I know how bad it is for the fish.

    what prop shaft drip seal did you use?

    • @brandonnorris1026
      @brandonnorris1026  4 роки тому

      I'll send you some pics of the setup if you want. Its essentially a steel linear shaft through a pillow block flange bearing and shore 70a butadiene rubber between the bearing and the hull. A LOT of grease too.

      @@brandonnorris1026 Any and all info would be enormously appreciated!
      Building a 6.5hp inboard kayak, and finding a drip seal for a smaller application like a 1 in prop shaft is near impossible!

    With an ultralight air plain you shouldn’t fly any hirer than you can fall and with this canoe you shouldn’t get any farther away from the beach than you can swim! LOL!
