3:42, i suggest 3 nylon bushing in pipe equal distances apart, on that length the centrifugal force will bend shaft, creating the wobble. you will have less vibration, a brass bush at the end with a grove to thow water out of pipe, ends up a long lasting motor and canoe :)
You can add a Zerk fitting to your prop tunnel pipe and pump it full of grease. This will help keep water from coming up the tube and may help prolong the bearing life.
i am trying to make it so we can use normal boat propeller like a yamaha by turning the engine around and using a belt or chain because i am stuck with the left turning propeller that doesnt give me the performance i want. its more complicated but it makes more sense to use a regular propeller. maybe once i figure it out it wont be so complicated
Word of advice you’re going wish you put a centrifugal cluch on that so it has a automatic neutral position at idle also check this video out for stear system and throttle ua-cam.com/video/HC3INMveUHU/v-deo.html
Excellent video very simple

Good day sir, can I ask the size of bearing, pipe and main rod and oilseal. Thanks in advance

Have you considered cavitation that might occur with the propeller? Although it might not be a problem if it's not running at high enough revs.
When you put a duct around the prop like that it's called a "Kort Nozzle"
Did you ever test this ? Cant find test video if you did
I did. The test video is a couple videos after that. However look up my video vacation 2023 and i have a lot of footage of it. Thanks!
Is there a part two to this? Did you take this canoe out on the water for a test run???
Yes! If you go on my channel that video should be close to this one. It is a fun boat, if recommend making one! Thanks
Great build! When do you expect the test video?
The test video was posted a couple months ago. You can find it on my channel. Thanks!
Do they sell these shafts pre made?
For steering options, you could put a tiller at the rear.
Have you finished the inboard canoe and tested it in the water? I can't find the video .
Yes i have, hmm it was posted months ago. Look on my channel it should be right next to the build video. Thanks

Makes sense. Everything is always more complicated than it needs to be...
@sourand jaded thanks i already figured it out you can look at my video called belt drive mud motor for right turning propeller
Ha....I have an old Land Rover....they don't leak oil...they just mark their territory.....TTFN
cool build but the exhaust will be blowing back into your face lol
very good
Thanks

Yeah fill it full of oil and let it drip out.....and just contaminate the waterways...]
Haha like 2 drops of oil is going to compete with the pollution our own society does. I hope your vehicle doesn't leak any
😀
No revers and direct drive, I know the cuss words that are going to be dropped.
