I've got hues I got them when walmart mis priced them for 100$ got a few more bulbs for 20 each all before the cheap knockoff bulbs came out I have no regrets at all I have a couple dozen cheap bulbs and when the internet is out hues will be able to be controlled via lan
@@jacktheladfrost it's cool but not practical. The whole room is lit when there's a bright scene, who wants to actually watch a movie when all the lights are on? It would be cool for a light show during some music or something, but not while watching a theatre styled movie

@@chrisbro5735 Hue lights and a hue bridge. If you are running off a pc there is an app available to sync the lights to pc screen but through tv(has to be HDMI) you need a hue sync box(expensive). Besides that the setup is pretty easy once lights are in. Lights get expensive and addictive though :/
@@benaliaa you can't make this up. i would say no, because his lights are positioned this can be done within the stream app, also at the end i see a lightstrip that is not individual colored underneath his tv. but could be he used just one lightstrip without zones. nevertheless a fantastic setup, this guy/woman has taste not only their lights are awesome👊
yeah, the original GU10 ambiant spots cost 55,- each, he has like 15 of them (guessing) into the ceiling😂 but everybody can have this, if you save money and just have patience. if you find it too expensive it just does not have priority for you.

To be honest, a friend of mine has this, and it's really annoying after watching a movie for about 30 minutes, you get tired. He don't even turn it on anymore. This is pure to show off. I see more people on forums complaining about that.
I've had mine for about a month and keep on low / medium and about half brightness. Noticeable but fades into the background. It's just about finding the right settings.
So this is on full brightness and extreme sensitivity. This gets super annoying after a while. I keep it on medium sensitivity and medium brightness, that’s where it really looks best.
I feel it's a distraction, you need a dark environment for the best experience in my opinion. But of course, the LED's integration look very professional and high end. The ceiling color at 3.06 is wonderful, i'd like it for my place.

Very clear that that TV does not have a lot of backlight zones. Tons of bleed through on the Vision "this is black" demonstration with the circle. Otherwise VERY cool!! Thank you 😊
@@TheDanitus I don't mind the lights being bright per se. It's just, when all edges on your TV are white, every bulb goes on. There will also be other scenarios, where it just doesn't make sense that the lights in the back will turn on. It just so happens that this demo doesn't include those footages. I hope in the future there will be light systems, that make use of data added by filmmakers similar to spatial audio.

@@georgepipito2802 You will not focus on that if u watch movie play games etc. Need to have good TV or at least good watching distance and you can adjust the lights to match ur setup. There is many options u can go with, and no need to set it full brightness. Just go for it u will not regret buying those, because it replace the normal boring lights anyways.
Been looking at the gradient lightstrip for my 65'' LG TV but what I don't like is the fact that it has a U share and you clearly need more lighting for the lower part. I see you've mentioned "Philips Hue Light Strip (x5) + extensions", so I am assuming that the extensions they sell separately can also be added to the pre-cut 65'' they have? I have not seen anywhere anybody doing this, always adding the Philips bars or an extra independent light strip to the bottom, which in my opinion is just a crapy fixed.
So the ceiling lights sync with light strip on TV, are the ceiling lights connected to bridge along with strip to make this work? Any help would be appreciated. Cracking set up pal 👊👍

It is really cool but the worst thing about the philips hue sync box is that you can not use your tv channel... so that you need the Nvidia Shield TV Pro... and the question is: when do you use the smart tv software?
You need the sync box, or Connecting with HDMI your computer and then playing from there UA-cam, netflix or something like that... Because if you don't have the sync box those media and streaming platforms won't be available to work just with the app alone

He only mentions that the light strips are controlled bij another controller, that doesn't give me a clue about how those are synced. I'm really interested in it though. I'm about to do the electrical work on a house we are renovating, it would be nice to directly integrate that light setup. I'm planning the Centura spots instead of the G10.

Thank you for you praise. The spacing between each GU10 downlight is approximately 1M. The ceiling of the window side is a little more than 1M. There is an air conditioner in the middle. Since Philips Hue's GU10 Bulb is not bright(350 lumens), I installed two more downlight at the window side. The other side is the kitchen, but there is a light in the kitchen, so I didn't install any additional. Was it helpful?
I've been wanting to get the sync box for something like this (starting with LED strips behind my TV) but man...that sync box is expensive for what it does. I still got my Hue play kit. Gonna wait for a sale. Also, no hdmi 2.1 support. Doh!
hello gu10 which model bulb did you use? with or without bluetooth? There seems to be a difference between the two models in terms of wattage and light emission. I need purchase idea.

Both models above are 6W and have a 350lm brightness (at 220v).
10 hue color flood bulbs: 46.99-54.99/bulb is 470-550 in bulbs alone there. 60 for the bridge. 230 for the hdmi box. 760 minimum for just the lighting in that room before we even get to the TV.

All the effects in the dark are cool, but I do not want my room to be fully lit whenever there is a well lit scene.
You can control their max brightness during the sync.

I used Dolby Atmos Demo video, but no additional audio equipment. As in the video description, this video is only used for video effects. :)

I've been wanting to get the sync box for something like this (starting with LED strips behind my TV) but man...that sync box is expensive for what it does. I still got my Hue play kit. Gonna wait for a sale. Also, no hdmi 2.1 support. Doh!
hello gu10 which model bulb did you use? with or without bluetooth? There seems to be a difference between the two models in terms of wattage and light emission. I need purchase idea.

I don't know what kind of bulbs you are talking about.
Both models above are 6W and have a 350lm brightness (at 220v).

I'm going to try and build something similar to this soon. The Philips hue lights with sync box and all accessories comes to about $1000.
Don't forget you need the bridge as well.
what's for sound , creating the dolby atmos? This is really a superb room, little jealous here...
What kind of sound setup in terms of speaker setup are you using? I don't think the TV is the only sound source in here?
10 hue color flood bulbs: 46.99-54.99/bulb is 470-550 in bulbs alone there.
60 for the bridge.
230 for the hdmi box.
760 minimum for just the lighting in that room before we even get to the TV.

Where did you get that clip btw? We use that clip in our commercial Dolby Cinema installs but I've never seen it outside of a theater.
