It may not have been what you were expecting, but i love the way the blue turned green in the grain. Looks like a nice cereal bowl.
Thank You Greg
A Jethro Bodine cereal bowl lol.
Another BEAUTIFUL bowl!! 😃 Great job as usual, Doug!! 😃
Thank you Thank you Hillary
@@PohlBarnProductions You're VERY welcome, Doug!! 😃 Keep up the good work and keep the new videos and projects comin'!! 😃
I love how the blue is almost transparent!!! It’s absolutely gorgeous!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much Samantha!
Love the colors you chose to use. To see it bleed into the wood is so beautiful. Seeing the resin on the camera made it feel like I was in the workshop with you! I really enjoyed watching this video.
Thank you Linda
Fantastic Bowl Doug. Really liked the colours and even liked the way the wood soaked in the resin. Thanks for sharing
Thank You Bruce
Came out really cool Doug! The way the resin showed up in that grain is awesome. Well done and take care.
Thank you! Cheers!
ITS JUST GORGEOUS!! The center hole doesnt matter to me, the piece is so beautiful! I love the surprise of the green coming out of the blue resin, its an added touch if beauty! The unexpected outcome is a wonderful touch!! Thanks Doug!
Thank You Texana
The transition to the green is wow
Thank you Trevor
Boy, that turned out PURTY!!!!love how the blue turned green in the wood. Reminds me kinda of the Earth and the ocean. Hope you are staying cool. Have a great week.
Thanks so much Jane!
It's a lovely little bowl, Doug. Those little bubbles and spots remind me of fish swimming in deep water. Great video, thanks.
Thank you Pauline
Wow, crazy how the blue turned green in the wood. Love it
The really cool thing is that the resin didn't turn green, it only shifted to a green light from the harmonizing of the light from the two colors, yellow and blue. It's an illusion. Only the light emitting changed, but the resin is still blue. It's known as "color resonance" when the light harmonizes with another to emit the harmonic color, which is green.
Thank you Barb, oh wow I didn't know that,
Loved the way this beauty turned out!
Thank you so much!
The green looks so nice in there. Great job as usual!
Thank you Jennifer
It’s very beautiful…the bubbles should not be in there . The blue dot in the bottom could have been a problem. What is causing bubbles??? I was watching videos of a Russian Couple making tables ( in Russia ) with wood and other materials, and hundreds of litres of resin in one pour . No vacuum, no pressure pot . No cracks either. I am not Russian…
Boy that’s beautiful love the colors
Hi Douggggggggggg!!!!
hi Robin
Very cool! Love it!
@@PohlBarnProductions that would be a good chili bowl
Hey Dougggggggg!!!! Wow that turned out amazing and I really love the way that green colour came out on the wood, it was awesome. Thanks again for showing us your awesome talents!
Thank You Thank You Robin
Beautiful bowl Doug. Love how it turned green in those areas. All good buddy.
Right on, Thank you Thank you Douggie
Beautiful color, successful interaction of wood and resin. I really liked the thickness of the walls of the bowl.
GooD)))))))
Thank you so much Meront😀
Maybe try applying your logo before you start applying your finishes. Just a thought.
I like the green wood with time blue background. Sure, it was unexpected. But it has such an original look now. And I'm a big fan of originality. I like it a lot. Nice job! 👍
Thank You Les, I did and it still did it, now I have to not use the sanding sealer and see what happens
Doug!!! That’s a beautiful piece of art you created. I believe you had a Bob Ross “happy accident” moment with the resin turning green 🧡🤎💛🤍
Thank You Maddie, I believe I did
Hi Doouuuggg!!! Wowzers! I love it!❤❤❤ I think it's awesome!
Thank You Lola, I'm Glad you like it!
Amazing Doug. If they would give you a load of sh*t, you still are able to make something beautiful from it. Oh wait, you've already done that with horse sh*t a few years ago. 🤣 Anyway, it became again a beautiful work of art, my friend. Thank you for your nice video. 👍👍👍
You got that right! I'm made a bowl out of sh*t, thanks again for watching
I know the Remington 1867 was made under licence by Husqvarna in Sweden and they work very well.
Clearly Husqvarna didn’t return the favour with chainsaw design because that Remington did not seem up to the task.
you are probably correct David, but I could afford this one and it works good enough for what I am doing with it.
DAMN! So beautiful and unusual. As usual, I'm in awe. Your talent is growing. Thanks for sharing, Doug!
Awwww Thank you Kathi
Ho hum, just another beautiful bowl by Doug... 😊 Great job, love the colors Doug...
Thanks a bunch Skip!
I Like it! The unintentional green, and the blue, go so well together! Maybe the wood had some strong yellow going on? Anyway, it's great!
Phil Anderson, from Shady Acres, has done a review on his laser engraver, which might interest you.
Keep up the beaut turning!
Thank you Stephanie, pretty much everyone with a decent channel has done a laser review , LOL this will be my third
Beautiful bowl, Doug. I think the green in the grain is cool. 😊
I think so too! Thank again for watching Rob
Great looking bowl. Sometimes you have one of those "Bob Ross" accidents".
Thank you Harry, I suppose I did
Well I missed the live I am trying to enjoy these weekend without no rain but I am home now Watched the replay hello Doug great job another beautiful bowl awesome colors 💙🩶🤍🩶💙🩶
Thank you Liz, you are not required to be at the Premiere, I do not expect anyone to be there, I am happy that you watched it and made a comment when you could
There's always what you hope it'll be, and then there's what it is. Sure looks like another great bowl to me. 👍👍👍Thanks for the time and effort you put into making these videos. I'll be waiting for the next one.
Thank you Scott,
Doug, might not be exactly like you wanted but man, it's so pretty. I think the end result is AWESOME
Thank you Steve
Love this bowl. Surprised the wood turned green 😮. How about making a yellow bowl with grass clippings in it
Thank you Eric, that's a plan
It's a Bob Ross bowl, a happy accident! LOL turned out really nice!!
Thank You Jody
Those blue ribbons that you ended up getting from turning were really pretty, hope you are considering them for a future project? Liked the green ‘zebra-like’ look to the wood, really unique.
That's a great idea! Thank You Lynda
I thought this bowl was exceptionally beautiful. I have what I hope is not a dumb question. When you are turning the resin, it looks like smoke coming off. Is that just really fine resin dust?
Thank you Vicki, it could be a bit of both, the tools do get hot from the friction
Beautiful bowl Doug. But did you use purple dye for the additional pour off camera? Or is it just me? Sort of messes with my mind and eyes... Love the laser engraving at the end.
Thank you Stephanie, no I used the same color, Ocean Blue Alumilite dye
The first part of the video when you are cutting, sped up, sounds like the biggest, most annoying mosquito ever! Loved the video. Keep them coming!
Thank you Thank you LOL
Greetings Doug, strange but nice looking grain. Another Bob Ross moment with the colour, looks great. Keep smiling.
Thank you kindly Peter
Reminds me of diving documentaries- Jacques Cousteau, etc. Even the little bubbles in the resin give it an underwater feel, as well as the green of the wood. Lovely.
Thank you Thank you Marryellen
Might not have been what you were looking for but it is eye catching. I was thinking that it reminded me of a sandbar sticking out of our city's river, which is a bit low right now. It might not look like a river, your bowl, but it does have an aquatic look to it and I like it.
I often wondered how well a laser would burn on resin or even on a resin top coat. I suppose you want it quite defined and sharp. But maybe think about it like a subtle water mark on a photograph. It's there if someone's looking for it, but not distracting. Good turn, Doug. I enjoyed the different opening sequence.
it's been said that lasering on epoxy resin gives off toxic fumes but what doesn't anymore, I think it really just melts it, Thanks again for watching Jay
That is so cool and unique and the colour of the grain, Another epic peice Doug.
Thank you Thank you Rich,
That’s a really pretty blue. I love how the light always shines through your resin, it reminds me of stained glass. When I did organic designs, I would (as much as possible) do selective cutting. This means putting a sheet of stained glass up to the light or placing it on a light table and picking out an area that resembles a flower petal, the veins in a leaf or the flow of a feather. I always enlarge your photos at the end and look at the swirling patterns in the resin, the wood grain or spaulting. That enlarged detail is always beautiful and worth exploring. Thanks for another enjoyable video Doug!❤
Thank you Funo
Good morning, Doug.
Thank you for the turning video. Sometimes it is like eating a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. And like a box of chocolates, they are all good.
See ya next time.
Thank You Ray, see ya in a couple days
I love watching you turn into Cookie Monster at times (5:50) Pretty little thing when finished; it reminds me of the BMX race track my grandson competes on.
Thank You JoAnn
Another beautiful bowl, Doug!! It's kind of surreal to see my first video in the suggested videos to the right on this desktop!
Very cool! your video that is, thanks again for watching
Csodálatos, fantasztikus munka mint mindig. Szép szín és a fa együtt nagyon jól illik. Várom a következő videót. Szép hetet kívánok, üdvözlettel!!!!!🙂👍❤
Még egyszer köszönöm, hogy megnézted Ági!
I like it alot, Doug whatever the wood is it's really nice and you have more to experiment with which is a plus. 😘😘💋💋
Thank you very much Ellen!
Another nice looking bowl Doug. Love the way it transitions from blue to green. Resin is just like a box chocolate, you never know what you are going to get.
Thank you Scott, resin does what ever it want to do
Beautiful bowl! Full of character and personality! Good to see you!
Thank You Lynda
Awesome Piece, Brother! I gotta ask though, what’s with the shiny new can of sanding sealer?😂
Thank you Steve, Good question! I couldn't get the top on and off the old one anymore ! it has gotten crusty after 4 years or so of use
I think this is my new favorite 😊❤. Love the color you choice and how it turned the wood color! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you Brenda
I have a suggestion for the sea weed. Make a tree out of the tangled branches by trimming away what is not in the picture in your mind. You might make balls of some for a really cool piece.
those are great Ideas,
I thought about what you said about uranium glass but do they make any resin that can glow under black light, I would so love to buy a piece to put in my collection 😊 you do such beautiful work.
Thank You Patty, I have stuff that glows in the dark but it's really hard on the tools, I would think there are colors that glow under a black lite, I will have to look into it,
Awesome! Another master piece! I love the way the green color mixed into the wood. It gives it a very whimsical look.
Thank you Sandra
*Doug nice bowl... is it on the 'Blue Dot Special' now ;) Does the laser only work better on certain colours?*
Thank you Andrea, I think the wax effected how the laser worked on this project
That is really nice. The green is an interesting effect, even if it was unintentional. Not bad for something from the firewood pile. Looking forward to your laser review
Thank you Mark
Awesome piece, buddy! Really nice!
Thank you kindly Billy!
Great bowl Doug like the colors. Hope you do the review of x tool soon I was think about that very laser my self.
Thanks again for watching Scott
love it Doug, love how it turned green in the grain. had to be boxelder, (the tree that bleeds ) look it up on out of the woods, that's probably why it turned green.
Thank you Rick,
youcan said that the round dot is where you live. And thatI think you should vsit that wood burning pile more often.
Thank you Carlos, I believe there is some Ash in that pile too, maybe even some choke cherry
I really like how it turned green in the grain of the wood. Excellent job, Doug! 💜
Thank You Tracey
The more punky the wood the more the resin gets pushed into the wood along with the color of the resin.
Thank you Pete, some times it works out that way.
gotta be box elder, it always seems to drink up resin more than other woods. which personally i think always looks really really cool.
Thank you Dan, I think it was box elder
Strange how the wood turned greenish. Musta absorbed a lot of the resin. Very nice color and shaped bowl. 😊
Thank you very much Normagene!
Wow, it looked straight up like labradorite before you started working it on the lathe!😲
Thank You Adrienne
A great project using firewood. Nice finish too. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much David!
Doug, another FANTASTIC work of art
Thank you Jack
Fantastic bowl, Doug! Thanks for taking us along!
My pleasure, Thanks for watching Marty
Absolutely wow. Beautiful and awesome work
Thank you Thank you
Hi Doug. I Love that bowl. Like how the blue turned into green. Unexpected. But love it
Thank You Carmen
Wow.. unexpected, so beautiful 👌
Thank you Thank you
Really like the way the wood turned green👍
Thank You Luie
Love it. Kinda like the lakes this year, if you know what I mean😊❤
Thank you Lois
Love the colour change, the resin ribbons are beautiful as well
Thank you Thank you Angela
There was an accident at the silly string factor today. That's what this looks like.
Thank You Roger, LOL
Great job thanks for sharing pretty bowl
Thank you Shane
Never thought blue and green would look good on wood. Really good looking bowl. It looked really thin too.
Thank You Ron
It’s really unique! Good job
Thank you Thank you Kathrine
It looks really dark until you start to polish it then you can see the rag on the other side. Really cool effect
Thank You James
I have an idea to keep you from drilling the center hole too deep...
Modify your circle cutting jig slightly by cutting a 1/8 inch thick plywood circle, then drive short tacks through the plywood so they slightly protrude through the other side of the plywood.
Place the plywood on the circle jig with the nail points UP and trim the Trim the center dowel flush then Wax the two mating surfaces to reduce friction...
Now, the nail points will hold your wood blocks on the jig and you can still cut circles by spinning the plywood...
Basically, I'm trying to describe a Lazy-Susan type deal with nail points to hold the wood blocks in place during circle cutting...now you can get round blanks without needing to drill holes in the center of them...
Thanks again, funny thing is I can already do that with the 1/4 inch plywood circles I have cut out, I just don't think of it when I cut the wood
@@PohlBarnProductions Perhaps you should just leave the plywood circles on the jig then...that way, when you pull the jig out to cut another circle, the plywood is already on the center peg to remind you...
Great work Doug. Outstanding!
Thank you kindly Rod!
Doug, the colour turned out fantastic great job.
Thank You Alan
Colors are dif. But it's nice. Thanks for sharing it with us.🌿 👍👍👍
Thank you Rob! Cheers!
Dang, I really like the colors - the green adds to it ❤️
Thank you Thank you
Great colour and the shape of the wood 👍👍👏👏

Very nice work thanks for sharing with us
Thank you for watching Kara
Love the transition from real chainsaw noises to rc car 😂
lol my chainsaw on Roids !!!!!!!! it took to long to cut it like that so I sped it up, Thanks again for watching
Absolutely beautiful as always Doug . On camera looks green to me on the wood .
Kind of looks like a boat .
Hope your doing well . Take care
