This is insanely beautiful Kim. I think you got the colours spot on with this piece!
Thank you so much 🤗
Hi Kim what an awesome and stunningly beautiful bowl the color of the wood and resin is magnificent and spectacular. God bless you and your family a thousand fold and keep you safe through every promise in Psalm 91.
Amen!! Thank you so much, Kobie🤗🤗
Kim, that vase is absolutely stunning. I’m amazed at how you captured the look of the inside of an abalone shell. Be blessed.
Thank you so much, Robin 🤗 You too!
I am SO EXCITED!!!!! I watch a few wood turners. And you're my 1st Woman!!!! Heck Yeah. You my Lady had me at Hello.....
Wow, so beautiful. I love the mix of blue and green in your wood shavings. For all the difficulties it gave you, it turned out really something special.
Thank you so much, Lorna 🤗🤗
I'm a first time viewer and wow, I'm blown away by your creative talent. Kim you are proof that through your hands "...all things become new".
Thank you so much!!
This piece is AMAZING 🤩! Wow. It looks like a giant piece of jade.
Thank you so much 🤗
Thanks for your info, it has amazed me how so many scratches disappear when using clear resin. Thank you for your help. I feel I learn so from watching your videos. You must be a teacher at heart Tom Petersen
I am thankful they are helpful.
I homeschool my littles. 🤗
God bless.
A real beauty! Love your use of resin a casting resin, adhesive and finish. very creative!
Thank you, Tom!
Kim, that turned out perfect! Great work! 👍👍👍
Thank you, David 🤗🤗🤗
Wow, that turned out incredible Kim!! Well done! That resin finish really makes it just pop right out there!
Thank you so much, Robert!
I am not usually one to like green things but this is absolutely beautiful. The combination of greens, blues, and the woods is just gorgeous.
Wow that looks incredible Kim. I really like the look of the colored shavings in the resin, it kind of has a hypnotic swirling pattern to it or at least to me. I also really like the contrast of the maple and the colors of the shavings in the rest. Just love the whole thing I guess lol. You do such wonderful work and I love your videos. Hope you and your family are doing well during these crazy times.
Thank you so much, Scott 🤗
Very nice Kim! The colors came out great and the maple top and bottom really makes the resin work pop! I like the resin finish as well, good choice! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much, Mert!!! 🤗🤗
Absolutely beautiful ! To my eyes it has an Asian stone vase look , combined with a ceramic specialty glaze (super secret formula , kept locked up in an undisclosed location! ) Or in laymans terms , I LIKE IT ! 😊🤗
oh yes. I can see that. Thank you 🤗🤗
i stumbled on to your channel a few days ago and i started to watch your beautiful turnings .. but this one really took my breath away... thank you for sharing your craft on videos!!!
Thank you so much 🤗🤗
It looks amazing Kim. I enjoyed the whole process and the final result.
Thank you, Chris 🤗🤗
Yours turned out absolutely stunning as well. I have to admit I was waiting for you to pull some kind of funny as well, then finally took a deep breath when I realized you would not do that to us. Lol 😆 Love your colors and your finished piece is beautiful. I love how you always post up what tools or materials you are using. Yours is shinier in the end but both pieces are gorgeous in their own right. Thank you for sharing with us all. Stay safe and healthy. 😺❤😺
This reminds me of dyed Scottish heather jewelry. Amazing color and shine.
Thank you 🤗🤗
This is freaking amazing! It is out of this world beautiful! Fantastic colors and choice if wood shavings which is totally creative! Great job! Bravo!
Hi Kim, Same as Doug's that bowl is gorgeous. Take care, Kim. Cheers, Huw
Thank you, Huw 🤗🤗
This is my first time here on your UA-cam channel.
Like your work. Thanks for being here!
THANK YOU for watching, Linda!!
Yep, she is. There are three Picasso's of woodturning. Love it.
Thank you so much 🤗🤗
I appreciated try this on so many levels... A finely finished piece! Thank you for showing which tools were being used at any given time as well as sharing the pros and cons for some of them for resin turning. 👍🙂
love this piece what a talent you have.
Thank you 🤗🤗
Great job....are u in florida......?
It looks like an amazing forest! So very beautiful and what a great way to use the cuttings from Doug's tenon. I laughed so much at that video and seeing each of you use the pretty curls makes me laugh all over again.
Kim, this project looks like a gallery piece! Absolutely stunning work! I so enjoy your sharing and really like the commentary on how you do your work. Or correction, your art? Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much, Sal 🤗🤗 Work of Art, maybe? 🤷♀️😀
Ciao Kim grazie per aver condiviso con noi questo bellissimo lavoro ma sopratutto per aver menzionato nel corso dell'opera gli attrezzi utilizzati. Ancora grazie e un saluto da Roma.
I must say I like the Glossy Shininess of yours better than mine, Nice work Kim.
I love your pot better!! Lol. we are our worst critics. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful piece with us. Thank you for colabing with me!!
I'm here from Dougs channel P.B.P. Very nice work!!!
I watched both videos and both pieces are beautiful. I thought the collaboration was going to result in both works put together to make one piece. Up until the end I really thought you guys were making sections of a lamp that would be stacked with a little pin light shining through both and a lamp shade on top. I subscribed to both of you talented people.
I enjoy watching you Kim you always put out beautiful things.
This vase is great thanks for the videos may God bless you and your family
Very beautiful vase
Thank you!
I’ve been watching Dougs videos a little over a year now. I just came across the piece he did in collaboration with you. Glad I found your channel. Your piece is beautiful. Looking forward to watching more of your works.
Awesome!! Thank you so much 🤗
This is really beautiful. The colours remind me of NZ Paua (abalone).
Thank you, Annette 🤗🤗
I get such a kick out of the back and forth between you and Doug. I really enjoy your narration and the way you explain the what and why of how you're doing things, not to mention the beautiful work you create. Thanks again for the awesomely entertaining video!
Thank you 🤗🤗
It is very addictive watching a lump of wood become a piece of art, thanks for sharing your art with us. What is the name of the music that plays at the end of this video?
Thank you 🤗🤗 Thasong came with the editing software I used. Movavi
What a gorgeous result! Just goes to show that just about anything can be repurposed into art!
Gorgeous!
Thank you so much 🤗
I stumbled onto this video, and could not believe what I was seeing!! I am totally blown away by how beautiful this vase is!! And I just had to hit the subscribe button! Thanx for sharing your incredible talent with us!
Thank you so much for watching and subbing!! I appreciate your kind words!
Hi Kim, oh my goodness this is an absolutely stunning work of art, it’s so beautiful, did you turn the piece with all the mixed colours? Whichever it was the result is perfection. I love this vase , it’s the most beautiful I’ve seen in a long time....... You and your family keep safe xxx
Thank you, Elaine 🤗🤗
Great looking vase. Love watching you turn wood into works of art. Thank you.
Thank you, Dave 🤗🤗
It's beautiful! It sort of looks like abalone...probably not in real life, though. Love the colors!
*Thank you , Beverly* 🤗
What a marvel of creation you have achieved ... very, very beautiful! Congratulations.
Thank you so much 🤗🤗
Es incluso relajante👏👏👏👍
Thank you 🤗🤗
Fabulous piece, Kim. The dyed shavings really turned out well and the shape really highlights the shavings.
Thought what the hell is denatured alcohol but after a search found out it's called Methylated Spirits here in Aus
Yes. I forget that is whatnitnis called everywhere but here in the us. lol
@@KimTippin Well I had to look on my own little bottle, but in the Netherlands it's also called denatured ( gedenatureerde) alcohol.
Btw, the whole idea with those coloured shavings in resin could make a nice lampekap (lampshade) , I don't know if it's possible to give
the resin a slight white milky look .
I love how you made your resin base then added the wood for the top and bottom. A very balanced vase. NOT using resin to fill a void in wood.
Thank you ! 🤗🤗🤗
Красиво. Подруга, у тебя руки растут из нужного места.
Огромное спасибо!!
Wow! Fantastic job Kim, fantastic! Really pretty! I would love to see this in Purple, woohoo, pretty! 😀 Great video and thanks for sharing! 💜😊 Pam
Thank you so much, Pam 🤗🤗

Really nice one. Stretches my mind. I'm going to try this one. The narrative adds a lot. The finished vase is truly beautiful, not just a novelty.
Thank you 😊
Both yours and Doug's pieces turned out very nice. I like watching both of you work. You are my two favorite wood turners and Peggy from PF is my third favorite.
Thank you, Randy🤗🤗
Gorgeous! Doug will never be the same after Kim took all the cool colors for herself...
lol!! 🤗🤗😆😆

Great use of mixed media Kim. I actually have some pear shavings which I am going to dye and use for resin as soon as I come out of my holiday ornament phase and get back into bowls. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 🤗🤗
you young lady are worthy of a master wood worker title, you never can stop amazing me. each time I see a new project it’s always as much or more awesome than the last. you are worth more than the price of whatever you charge. as a wood carver, maker of wonderful handmade products I know greatness when I see it . one day I hope to get a wood lathe and extend my self . I’ll to be extra careful with glues, chemicals because of co pd serious breathing problems i might not be able to . but that’s ok to . Nana and papa aka the hunter
I truly appreciate that, Nana & Papa. Thank you so much 🤗
I hope you are able to turn as well!!
Nice job there Kim. I thought I'd be saying goodnight to Doug but then he said your video was up too so my goodnight goes to you. What a wonderful way to end a day. First Doug and now your lovely voice too. Thanks a million for sharing
Thank you, Emer 🤗🤗🤗
I loved that you and Doug did a collab thing. It challenges you both. Your piece was VERY lovely! I liked both of the pieces but your colors are more my taste. BOTH pieces were pretty.
Thank you so much Texana!! I loved to outcome and it was fun. We both struggled with this project but it was worth it.
Truly spectacular results, Kim. Really enjoyed this video! 👍👍👍
Thank you so much, Gord🤗🤗
Onya Kim. Beautiful piece of work. So well done. Kind regards, Dave, Beachere, Brisbane, Australia
you have a great eye for symmetry Kim.It shows how you size up a project on the fly while you're turning it. I was impressed with the finished product.
Thank you, bigrockets!!
A stunning piece of work Kim , love the colour! Brilliant collaboration with Doug I enjoyed both videos ,great work from both of you
Cheers, Bram
Thank you so much for watching. us both!! 🤗🤗
Beautiful piece! Colors are awesome with that finish. Thank you Kim!
Thank you, BOB!! 🤗🤗
So I just finished Doug's video and your video was next in my "watch later" from my subs. I must say that they are both so cool! When I saw the colors on your picnic table I thought Easter type colors but once they are all together in the resin I absolutely agree with the sea theme. Sea weed with some little colorful fish poking about in there, haha. Beautiful as always. I love your ingenuity too, not just with the plastic cups in this video but there have been other instances as well. Thank you for sharing your talents!
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words 🤗🤗
Absolutely beautiful. Looks almost like a landscape. Just amazing technique and design.
Thank you, Rebecca 🤗🤗
That is a beautiful piece. You do some of the most interesting turning I have seen.
Thank you for sharing your artistry.
Thank you so much for watching 🤗🤗
nice, should try it with reflective , holographic materials as well as kids plastic 'crystals' instead of shavings, bet they would look unique and awesome
Thank you so much 🤗
Now that is the most beautiful bowl I have ever seen.......
I was just thinking of your little baby puppy! And there he was on the floor 😉 I really enjoy your process and the verbal explanations. Thanks for sharing with us 👍🏻🙏🏻
Aww thank you, Sher! 🤗🤗
I like this vase. Put a nice bouquet of pink or deep red Peonies in and you have center piece for any table with the heart colors green and pink. The form of the vase kinda reminds me of the baroque porcelain vases with handles at each side. Have a wonderful weekend with your family and pets. God bless.
Thank you so much, Stephanie 🤗🤗 You too!
That's a beautiful vase and the shade of green is exquisite. God Bless.
Thank you so much!
Hi Kim! I am new to your channel and have now subscribed and hit the bell!
This is an absolutely amazing pot! I love it. Maybe because I am partial to blues and certain shapes. You are an awesome wood turner. I got your link from Doug's. I would like to thank you so very much for sharing your work and talent.

Always learning so much from your vids. Would love a sharpening lesson from you. Blessings Kim.
As always, a big thank you. Great project.
Thank you so much 🤗🤗 I just use the wolverine jig with 8" variable speed grider with cbn wheels.
Stunning work! Ok, you absolutely have to make a "boot shavings bowl"! Dump your boots out after you finish and create a project! LOL Every time I watch I am wondering how many shavings end up in those boots! haha
Good idea!!! I will work on that! Thank you 🤗😁😉
@@KimTippin and of course I will be watching!! :)
Beautiful piece Kim; take care and stay safe.
Thank you, Susan 🤗🤗 you too!!
