    • @ConceptCarMusic

      Yeah, patiently waiting for the fairer weather to return. I only started climbing the Munros last April and have managed to bag 23 so far, but my lack of experience and possession of all the necessary gear for winter conditions means I'll have to bide my time. Thankfully there's no shortage of YT channels like your own keeping me entertained and inspired, so I look forward to watching more of your adventures! I've been thinking about purchasing a camera and trying my hand at film making, so we'll see if that comes to anything. The tech available nowadays is truly mind-blowing, and it would be fun to have a new creative outlet.

    • @WalkWithWallace
      @WalkWithWallace  4 роки тому

      @@ConceptCarMusic ah nice one Fraser, there's always next winter once you've got a bit more experience under your belt. A winter skills course is recommended too, I could probably do with a refresher. The Ring of Steall is a good warm up for the Aonach Eagach.
      Film making is great fun, I get a lot of enjoyment out of it and it's good to watch back for memories too. I started off using my phone then eventually bought a GoPro.

      Cheers for The Ring of Steall recommendation, I'll certainly take that into consideration and a winter skills course is also on the agenda for this year.
      I was looking at the GoPro H8 Black as the footage looks awesome and it's perfectly suited to my needs, although the reports of freezing/crashing is making me a tad hesitant. It would appear as though it's just luck of the draw as to whether you end up with a faulty unit or not. Can I ask if you've had any similar issues with yours?

    • @WalkWithWallace
      @WalkWithWallace  4 роки тому +1

      @@ConceptCarMusic I've got the Hero Black 7 and it very occasionally freezes and I have to take the battery out. On the whole though I'm very happy with it and GoPro certainty have done a few firmware updates since. DJI Osmo Action is worth a look, they were down to £250 over Christmas.

      Granted the ditty does do ones tits in, these clips to me as a walker are helpful; the FPP is pretty good at giving you an idea of the baws you need to equip for this bad boy.
      I can maybe see the scope to expand on narration… a more viable audio option than the music? Just my two cents. Still liked the video.

    From what I researched online the ridge goes up one way only and then the only way to starting point is long walk of few miles back . Is this true or are there buses that can take us back ?

    • @WalkWithWallace
      @WalkWithWallace  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Yaseem, yes it's a bit of a long walk back. The Citylink bus passes through Glen Coe, but it doesn't have official stop of points that suits the ridge. You could either thumb a lift or arrange the walk with someone else and have 2 cars.
