  • Winter hill walking in Scotland on the Munro, Beinn Mhanach.
A stunning winter hill walk on the Munro Beinn Mhanach (near Bridge of Orchy). 4 of us set off from Auch for the often overlooked Munro Beinn Mhanach in great winter conditions, we head over to it's subsidiary top of Beinn a'Chuirn to extend the day. Beinn Mhanach offers fine views of Loch Lyon and several other mountains in all directions.

Crack, crack, crack, any minute now, he will be up to his neck, I was thinking lol. Great to get out in the snow and it looked superb out there. I was supposed to have been out in it in the Lakes yesterday but struggling with a bloody bad back. Perfect weather to be out with outstanding views and yep, it looks a great Monroe for a beginner. Hi Johnny, it's a Kestrel 2000 anemometer from RPR. Quite expensive. lots of cheaper options on Amazon and eBay too.
