Haha! A Pelican 1510! I bought one 17 years ago and it's been with me on tours across the USA. Best investment I've ever made. I've only had to change the wheels once after they wore out after 14 years.
Awesome!! Glad to hear it’s been holding up so well :)
Super helpful! Will see if I can make my setup like that as well! :-)
I have the DC7 with grip and it fits under the Pedaltrain Nano. Although you do not need to drill holes, the set screws for the CIOKS Grip basically screw against the side of the pedal board. Kind of shoddy mount but the power supply 18v works nice with my Geddy Lee DI-2112.
Check out guitarist Rhett Shulls channel. He builds a super compact gigging rig around the quad cortex and shows some good tips and tricks
Yeah. His vid inspired me to make my own ;)
Would the metro 20 with QC fit into the soft case? I notice some bags tend to push on the QC's volume knob. Also would it work with the Metro 16 case? or are they the same height dimensions. Just want a sturdy case that can also hold my XLRs and other leads. The Peli case is ideal... but €€€😄 Subbed!
Cioks is also excellent for expanding.
Yep!
I always try hire the best flight cases i can afford when gigging...i don't want my gear damaged so use heavy foam lined solid built metal edged flight cases with large rubber wheels & suspension on the wheels...Peli cases are pretty good, unless your run over by a tank your gear should be safe enough, careful if you end up playing a gig in Ukraine..lol...bass gear is to expensive to get damaged on the road, unless you play with a mega band earning mega buck's but sadly i don't so i look after my gear, worth hiring the best to protect it on the road, had a couple of mishaps before but you live & learn...i just built my first Pedaltrain board, got everything on a 20" x 12" metal angled board, pretty pleased as never built one before & i'm a little bit older than 21nowadays...lol, making up the correct length power leads from the power supply to the pedals was a pain but worth it....good video as usual Ivan...5 hours,my board only took me 3 weeks to build...lol
Yeah, setting up pedalboards is an art form of itself 😂😂
I have a similar set up, but with my Mesa DI/preamp, HX stomp and 1 spot power brick.
Nice!!
Hey Ivan, just wanted to confirm was that pedal board the Metro 16?
Do you have the QC / Noble on that for you live rig?
I am no longer using the Noble on my board, but yes. It’s a Metro 16 :)
@@IvanBassist Thanks Ivan, is that because of space or you finding you don’t use the noble live?
I’m just in process of setting up my QC for some live shows and thinking of going the same route and using the Metro 16 + Ciok maybe adding a noble down the track and going through a powered speaker. Very different from my old pedals / amp / speaker setup
