I loved the compressor part, i get to learn something new and interesting. Thank you erik for putting out quality content about Bass on the internet. As always, great video! Kudos.
Really glad that you enjoyed it!! Thank you!!
Was watching this and an ad for the Helix came on and I’m thinking why the hell would I want one of these, I have a Quad Cortex! 😂 Great video. I learned a few new tricks. And now I’m going to try the HiWatt.
😂😂😂
Another Win Erik! I can't wait to grab this preset and tweak it up for what I do!
Sweet!! Let me know how it works out!!
God damn, I want that bass. Finding a good 5-string P-bass is so freaking hard.
It’s a real shame that Fender stopped making these!!
te suena de locos sensei! 😄😍
🙏
If you build it, tones will come.
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I have the HX Stomp, which I absolutely love, but sometimes
I wish it had more DSP power. Either way, a great unit and totally worth the money. I would like to upgrade to the Neural QuadCortex at some point, but at over 3 times the price, I can’t justify it personally. This was a great video though, and I love the patches you created. The tone and sound translated very well in your video. Thanks for sharing this.
Glad that you got something from it!!
Might have to give that a run out for my next gig!
Fuzz with Phaser for Hysteria could be fun...
It was a really happy accident, but it turned out pretty cool!!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great video Erik. I learned a lot. Thank you! Can the Neural DSP be used live? I’m curious if there is any latency while the signal is being processed. If not, I’m interested in tying a Neural DSP live. The feature I’m most interested in is Capture. Im hoping it can record the IRs of the overdrive and distortion from my Mesa Titan Big Block V12.
I’ve used it live for over a year and it’s been ROCK SOLID!
How is that darkglass tone capsul in a fender? Be honest? Does it work well with darkglass spedals
How? I took it to a luthier who installed it! :) Ir works very well with the pedals!!
My goal is to be able to tune up from drop b to learn standard tuning songs
IMHO it’s better to go the other way around 😅 Sounds better
@@erikarko I see I wish parallax drop tunded
I been trying to get a bass preset on my guitar plug in but I loose so much low end when I do
Maybe run a separate, clean DI for just the lows?
@@erikarko hmmm how do I do that?
@@creepymcpeepers Record your bass track, create a new empty track and copy your recording unto it. Then you apply your plug-in to one of them and keep the other one clean and just apply some compression to it.
@@erikarko good idea
Hi Erik is this still how you set your rig for live use?
Hi! Pretty much - I’m gonna do an updated version of this video once 3.0 is out :)
@@erikarko awesome, looking forward to that.
Just about to do my first live show with the QC I’m a little nervous to be honest. Very different from the amp / cab way I’m used to
@@KwaiChangKane The things that I did in this video still apply - there are just a few cool new additions with 3.0 that I’m gonna mention once that’s released :)
@@erikarko Looking forward to it. 👍🏼
Would have done a lot different. But if it sounds good, it is good. Right? ;)
Interesting! :) Care to share what? :)
@@erikarko would use the second comp as the last thing in chain, before the noise gate. That’s basically how you do it in the studio as well. So you keep your EQs and cab sims in control.
The chorus (or any modulation for that matter) on the other hand I would put after the amp and before the cab.
That’s at least how I would set up my physical pedalboard.
But there are no rules for that. As I said, as long as it sounds good…
@@M.Holland Good points! Thanks for sharing!! :)
Bro when you hit that octave after adding the amp it was so nice 🫠
😁😁😁
