Great work, man!
Thank you!
Apart from using at home for my own recordings, this is what I want to buy a modeller like this for. For the gigs I am doing and can see doing in the near future, I only need a half dozen presets for bass, baritone and the occasional guitar piece.
It’s a very flexible unit. Specially considering that I could have added a lot more effects if I wanted to.
Nice!!
Can’t wait to use this live 😎
Ivan, appreciate your different videos. Considering a Noble Tube Pre someday because of you. Have you considered making a Bass Profile Pack for Kemper? I'd buy one right away!!
Thanks for supporting the channel!
I don’t own a Kemper and most of my friends who owned one have moved on to other units, so probably not.
I have made several Neural captures for the Quad Cortex, though :)
Hi Ivan,
these are a really a bunch of quiet usable sonds indeed.
One question related to this: What kind of FRFR cabinet(s) or other options would you recommend in conjunction with this modeler when you are for instance in a band practice situation and don't want to send it through the PA speakers as these are reserved exclusive for the voice of the singer?
Many thanks in advance!
In that case, I'd just take my amp and cab. You can add a "Send Block" befoe the cabinet block and use one of the send outputs to connect the QC to the Return of your amp.
@@IvanBassist Thanks for your reply german buddy 😄,
So you say that a FRFR cabinet as it is often suggested in terms of digital modelling in the guitar world wouldn't be the right choice for us bass players, or have I misunderstood you in this regard? By the way, why the heck aren't we writing in german?! 😆
Na dann: Super Arbeit, weiter so.
Noce video thank you
Hey, can you explain why you would put the compressor at the end of the chain instead of the beginning?
To preserve the dynamics going into all the effects/amp. The compressor at the end helps to make volume of the scene/preset changes more even.
Hi Ivan, sorry for my bad english. My question: the tracking from the octaver... is it better than the stomp boxes on the market? thx for the answer
Yes. It tracks very well!
However, it’s very clean/transparent. It doesn’t sound like a Boss OC-2, for example
@@IvanBassist ok, you can mix original and wet sound?
Yes
@@IvanBassist wonderful, thank you very much
Do You want to Share your preset on the DSP App? That would be so awesome!!!
It’s there.neuraldsp.com/cloud/p/0dd56a05-9027-4598-9e70-2c1db8a5e547
Would you mind to share this preset on the Quad Cortex cloud?
I’ve made another one, which works better. Let me upload it once i’m back home :)
It’s up in the cloud now
Where is it in the search? Those are great tones
👏👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰🥰
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
what are you running this out too?
Usually sending one signal to FOH and one without the speaker simulation into my amp on stage
@@IvanBassist so just remove the cab sim to you amp on stage now are you going direct to the front of it or using the loop? Thanks for getting back to me
@@canadianbassist-garrettont7368 I use either a loop or create a new row without the cab sim. Check this video (around minute 6) for reference: ua-cam.com/video/AcKt_PJ-Z8o/v-deo.html :) It’s a different preset, but it’s the same approach.
I’m gonna make a new video about using the QC live soon, because i’ve been getting several questions about my rig.
@@IvanBassist ok cool how are you finding it for bass? I has a Hx effect and wasn’t really happy with it? Right now I’ve just been using a sansamp with dark glass compressor and Darkglass micro vintage and a boss ce5 chorus
