Hi Ben,I have just bought the cortex but I’m not very good with technical stuff as I’ve only ever used real amps but I really want to succeed with the cortex. Would you be interested in giving paid online lessons with it so I can get used to it but also master it and use it to its full potential as it’s a bit confusing to me.Thanks
You totally rock. Love your QuadCortex Ultimate guide. I wish you did a guide for Kemper, Axe FX and everything else LOL. You explain everything very well and in simple terms. Im 60 years old and I wish I could borrow your brain from time to time. Failing that. your videos do just fine. Thank you Ben
They should've shipped this thing with replacement knob/footswitches with detailed instructions on how to easily replace them. They should be swappable, cheap and very simple to do so. Every video I've seen shows there is play/movement in the foots witches and everyone comments (even when they get this thing for free) that they think the footswitches won't last forever. Anyone planning on using this in a live environment should first open it up to the circuit board and see what the procedure is to swap the footswitches out. I REALLY hope they put a lot of effort into making bombproof replaceable footswitches at the price they are asking for this unit. The newer BOSS units feel like they put A LOT of time into making sure those footswitches won't break. The RC300's switches (although VERY hard to replace) last a LONG time. I own five RC300s and have only had two foot switches fail during 270+ gigs a year over the past several years. Very skeptical about the switches on this quad cortex. Other than that it looks like an interesting unit.
Noob question. I just realized what the Quad Cortex is. Now my question is, am I supposed to connect it to my amp/guitar, or is this all pre set to just plug to a random speaker/headset? Is it possible to connect other pedals to it? I always thought it was just a software, but my friend convinced me of giving it a try, but I am kind of a noob when it comes to these😂
Sorry for this beginner question, I have the QC for a couple of months now, but I just realized that I don't if I can bypass it when it is on and how, could help me?
Hello Ben when it comes to set up…does the Quad Cortex need an amp or head as a source of power for a cab? or is it capable of plugging straight into a cab and achieving a great sound?
Haven't tried it yet, but I don't see why not. You would just hook the looper to the FX loop (Send/Return) and select that as the output on the QC. As was said, there is a looper feature built in to the latest update on the QC itself with a couple of neat features. But still not as robust as a dedicated looper if that's what you need.
@@BibblebabblerI’m looking into selling my axe fx and getting a QC and would just like the unit explained in a very simple way. Definitely not a pointless video.

Great video, I like how quickly you went through everything, great presenting style.
Glad you liked it!

Thanks Jack! Have fun with it!
Thanks mate, just got my QC yesterday and a bit confused, even though I am a tech person lol. Great vid, even after 3 years still very relevant
Very clear and informative - thank you

Yeah there is some play. I shall see if they last 👀 on my unit .
To hell with that, it soumds amazing!!
Excellent
*Excellent presentation! Companies would benefit form utilizing you, to make illustrations vids for their products.*
Great video!
Thank you

How about a Quad Cortex VS GT 1000 vid
you insult quad cortex 😅😅, gt1000 nothing near good as cortex maybe cortex vs kemper or helix floor 😅😅😅
7:29 Why not just use an eq or boost at the beginning of the chain between presets
Great video, very helpful. Has Neural sorted the global input level out, or is it the same, which is shite?
Is there any delay cut between presets? Thankss
Great, but when we got to buy the unit?

This doesnt work as a pedal straight into your amp to use live?
Guitar >quad cortex> guitar amp..

I was just wondering the same thing
You need to run it through a head or something like a seymour duncan power stage

hello, do you know how to set correctly the impedance in the I/O settings?
How do you hook it up ?
This video did it for me hahahah. I thought this interface was a little special 😀
What amp can I use with it for practice without PA???
Buen vídeo… 👍🛎️
Still waiting on mine to be shipped. Quick question though. Can the QC be hooked up to a looper? I've not seen any videos demonstrating it.
I know this is an old comment, but the newest OS of the QC includes a looper with it! It’s got like 4-5 minutes memory time

Are you from Bolton?
Slow down kid your are gonna have a heart attack
they should take after apple and just make it an entire screen
Ben, Please slow down when speaking Anglo English!!
You can slow down the video in setting!
Yeah, I don’t get stuff you need a university degree for in order to simply add an effect to your guitar.
"Multiple different" lol
thanks a lot but why r u shouting?
to fast my friend !! to fast !!!!! this is not a auction !!
The video nobody needed.
I disagree. I don't own a QC, but this is answering a lot of questions I didnt' even know I had.
@@ThumpingThromnambular this is the easiest unit to use in the world, no manual or video needed. If you can wipe your own ass you are good to go.
