Not a surprise here that all of those tones are incredible.
I've been down the Dingwall and QC tone rabbit hole for around 18 months. Incorporated into my Boogie rig, it was amazing. In ears and FOH direct from the QC has been a little more of a challenge. There's so many options, it's difficult to truly find what you're looking for but it's in there. I spent hours upon hours, capturing dozens of versions of Parallax and it was almost there but just a touch short. I loaded these presets up and tinkered a little with gain settings, used a different gain for the highs, minor tweaks on EQ and it's the best tone I've been able to get so far. Really saved me, I was struggling and a little stressed, not having "my" tone ready for a big January tour. It was almost there but I noticed Jacob's blocks in the signal chain were a little different than what I was doing. It took some doing but I'm finally happy with it. Thanks Jacob!
The quest for the ideal tone is real! I've been doing the same with my Spector and QC. A person could spend an eternity turning knobs. Enjoy the search!

Killer presets. If anything, I'm grateful for the Parallax captures, I've been waiting to buy that plugin until QC supports the plugins... In the meantime I guess these will have to do 😁 Neural DSP should also update the link in the description to the updated preset!

Awesome! The preset game is getting stronger and stronger for neural dsp. Especially for a non bass player like myself tracking for my own stuff, its great to have ready to use presets which sound great.

All captures up there now - the Parallax ones under SamAviations caps and the T-Hammer under Kskonkiel caps!
Mine is saying that Parallax Lo "doesn't exist anymore" even though it exists on my QC.
@@j4ck. Double check the neural captures on my profile and download again if necessary. Could have gotten mixed up when we first did this since we haven't shared presets with captures in them before.

Edited - the preset is up under Samaviations but it's still missing a capture. What's there is the best bass preset I've heard yet. Neural, please upload the last capture!
Until we can figure out how to properly share it, the last capture is the:
“AG T-Hammer AGS” by user “Kskonkiel”.
If that’s searchable then you can find it that way.

Tried the presets yesterday with my Combustion CB3 and they sound like they have a lot less gain than what it sounds like on the video. I have the QC set to 14db on the input.
I know tone has a lot to do with how you play and also the strings used but...
I have mine set to 16db try that!
@@jacobumansky3088 thanks man! I think it clips sometimes when I use 16db but I’ll try it again
Input level makes a huge difference. I use a Sire Jazz Bass and when the input gain is set to the default 0db, the input peaks around -24db and the preset sounds very clean. If I turn up the input to +14db, I peak at -10db and the sound is where it should be.
Dear people of Neural DSP: I downloaded this preset into my Quad Cortex, but there's one of the Neural Captures missing, so I can't use the preset as intended . I cry because I want to use the sounds Jacob did 😥

Hello Jacob, i love your bass sound but I have a question about the tapping when you're using those presets.
Do not you miss when passing volume of pizzicato for two hands? How to solve this issue?

I absolutely love Jacob's work, but all of these sounds are pretty much inherent and coming from his Dingwall bass. I'd love to hear some of these being played on a Fender or Musicman, for example!

Yeah I have a Dingwall (and Fender and Stingray). These settings sound killer on my Fender Jazz - after all Jacob plays the "jazz" position most of the time on his Dingwall from what I understand. Set the input gain accordingly and adjust your eq a smidge if needed but a Dingwall is not necessary for these tones.
@@xRyuzakii Lmao. Thinking that the majority of a tone comes from someone's instrument is just stupidity. It's amp and effects, processing and cabinet sounds, impulse responses and playing style. it's not the bass.

I just dont get it... when I use the Gain one I pretty much have a clean tone, wtf am I doing wrong ? on all presets I have 0 distortion
Do you have passive pickups? You may need to bump gain up if so.

Yep, it has a 1/4" headphone out.
