1,000RWHP 6.0 POWERSTROKE RELIABLE ENGINE BUILD!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 лют 2021
- In this video we dive into the race truck engine build! The goal is to hit 1,000 rwhp fuel only with this 6.0 powerstroke turbo diesel. But we want to make that type of power reliably! This video gives my full parts list for a long block build to withstand the 1,000hp capabilities of the fuel and air set up we will be running in the truck!

Hardly any 6.0 remote start install videos on UA-cam. You should make one of those for all of us.
I agree I already have one installed but my brother wants one done on his
@@jameswow2836 I see tons of videos of 6Ls with remote starters that cycle the glow plugs as well but never any installs. I hate having to run all the way out to my truck to start it up and then just come back inside for 10 minutes. It seems like a simple job, no chip in the key but a video on how to wire one of the nice viper ones would be so helpful
Dude I'm ending right here.......you lost me .. @ ONE THOUSAND HORSEPOWER...BOOP!
Glad to see you back at it
Can’t wait to see this build
Love your videos man. They help out alot. Keep it coming.
Sweet been waiting for this
Awesome! Cannot wait!
Was going to get a shirt ,but do not have my size need a xxxl , all you have is xxl!
Main studs in the ford v8’s I’ve dealt with tend to distort the dimensions of the crank main journal bearing clearance. I’ve noticed it tends to tighten the clearance because it’s clamping much better. Your right on about an align bore/hone needing to be performed
Would love to see that list of parts with part numbers and an estimated price.
Looking forward to seeing the sound proofing on the daily because I can't hear phone calls in my 4" straight piped 6.0 on the highway
I literally have the exact same build. Only thing difference is I have stage 2 cam and UCF port and polished heads. You’ll love it tho night and day difference. I’m only pushing about 750 now.
Love the breakdown. Can't wait to see this built. Hoping those KDD aluminums hold the pressure. They seem to be the best so far for aftermarket heads. All in all, though you have the 1k hp limit in mind you're going to push way more than that haha.
sick
Just had to order a sweatshirt from you. Keep up the videos, I learn a ton.
Fantastic man! Thank you!! It goes a long way 💪💪💪💪💪
Need to go with inconel valves
Well exhaust valves
Thank you for the content, I’ll be picking up some merch soon excited for this build. I’m curious if the boomerang above the door has a back story lol
How about a set of up pipes for factory set up? Some of us like the pipes but can't delete.
Can you make price for parts and labor idea,at least bulk part.
You’d be looking up around 20 grand give or take. Depends on a lot of different factors.
Would you recommend Fel pro intake gaskets. They do good for gassers but never tried them on the 6.0. I hate doing things twice. Thanks
Oem!
Mahle bearings are pronounced moly.
Does Kill Devil Diesel offer Inconel Exhaust Valves ? Wouldn't they be better than Stainless Steel for the Exhaust, because of the intense Heat ?
I want buy one of your build motor
What ficm tuning did you run in your previous race truck set up and how does it pair
Why aren’t you going with Warren diesel injectors this time?
My previous 250/100 were from warren. I plan to run their injectors this time around as well
What torque wrench do you use for head studs.
1/2 inch snap on
I have a question this may be stupid but when rebuilding a motor is there a certain way each piston and rod goes in like to they go in a certain pattern or can you assemble everything as it goes it and done
Each rod and piston will be balanced to a specific hole and then the bore is finished honed to that piston. They only go in one way, due to the piston oiler. I will go into this detail further during the process
@@LeftLaneDiesels okay thank you because I would love to know how to properly do it all I love to learn
What about the trans?? Its gunna go at 700hp
Absolutely, transmission is on the overall list. This videos purpose is to cover the basic long block build.... once that is completed, I will move to the air and fuel with supporting modifications. Then the transmission. It’s a process that will most certainly take some time, but it will happen. 🤘💪
@@LeftLaneDiesels i still haven't forgot about ya.. I still have that BTS built 4R100 2wd trans.. Its sitting on a pallet at my shop
Whats the difference between rwhp whp
Same difference, basically is wheel horsepower or rear wheel horsepower
6.0 reliable hArdly
1000hp+ rippinrowdy x reliable= need to push for more!!! reliability is for pussy's lol. My 6.0 was suprisingly extremly reliable first 150k, then it got its first tune, and thats all it took, like a addicts first hit of crack . I had a 'tune addiction' that first first 4 wheel launch @ 10 psi felt and sounded like a jet launching off aircraft carrier with chewy screamin right next to me, i was hooked and made owning a few 6.0s difficult, to leave stock even a decade later lol
It’s a Ford nothing reliable about it that’s why so many mechanics love them built in business
Thank you for your insightful comment
@@LeftLaneDiesels haha it’s a fun love buddy you know I drive a ram shitbox but at least it has a Cummins
