Yes I watched Horse Plus last night. I will NEVER understand how people can let their horse suffer so much. They must not have a heart whatsoever. I am in tears every time I watch the buyout.
If Prada is well fed and gets plenty of exercise, she has a good chance of recovering. Never give up! 🍀
Parada is absolutely beautiful. Oh what I would give for her to be mine & IF only I was just a little bit younger & living on my farm, I would adopt her without hesitation so I could spoil her for the rest of her life. ❤❤ I Love her personality. I had to go back to the sneak peek when Paulie met Prada, as I was watching the chiro lady, I thought this horse has a soft eye and is very gentle, mmm I wonder if she is THAT horse the Paulie fell in love with when she tried to apologize to Paulie, yup, its Prada. She is beautiful and sweet and would make a nice pasture pet for grandparents to own and they could give grandkids rides leading her and feel safe doing so. She is an angel and does not seem to have an aggressive bone in her body. Hope she finds a great home to be loved in as I can imagine her personality getting even sweeter if she can bond with a loving owner she feels safe with.
Yeah I saw how soft her eye was too curious too I hope whoever takes her appreciates her nature

Your issue with the hay wagon it what we called “Good ole Melvin luck”. We always had that type of luck.

That Prada is such a sweet girl and seems so appreciative of the care shes getting.
Oh and also....If you point that big red fan out of the barn when you are sanding it'll pull all the saw dust outside. And you might want to turn the horse fan off when you're sanding cause it might pickup the loose saw dust and cover the horses with it.

Lovely day. When using that sander, please use masks. Don't want to be breathing the dust/paint/rust/particles. Yay the hay is in before the rain, yikes on that hay cart!. Lights!! Yes!! It's wonderful to see so much progress.

Prada seemed much better after her chiro session....to think they supposedly were riding her.. God, people disgust me sometimes..whilst the hay bailing was such a nightmare..think of the money you have saved with not buying all that hay and as you said its only the first cut..you'll definitely get two..maybe three..?!.. damn Nate is such a hard worker and so good at making and repairing things..those fans are going to be so good with the hot weather..although by the look of it at the moment you might need and Ark.. !! 😮..
Those lights will make it easier all around.. for Pauly and Doc Pillman..and when the foal arrives too..rainy days are good for catching up on chores you put off..😂..that hay trailer..oh my lord.. you got home on 1 wheel.. How on earth will Nate get those wheels back on ?..

There are definitely days where the only good thing is that they are behind you 😢😢
Prada is such a sweet girl. I dunno if she looked strained because she was stressed or if she was in pain. At least at the end her face softened up a bit. The main question will be if she can be painfree with her back like that, because she does make a pain face and that is what worries me, but in the end you are around her, you will propably know best how she is moving and behaving. Building some muscles should help to support her more, wish her best of luck. She deserves to have a painfree pasture life with some chill friends.
(I already forgot how her hooves where, the pain could come from a different thing so we will see)

If you're using the sander you need to wear a mask and safety glasses. And make sure it isn't lead based paint. ❤❤❤

I remember when the front axel on our tractor broke of course way out in the field. Hubby managed to get the bucket up in the back of the truck. I am thinking he secured it to the fifth wheel plate some how. I had to drive the truck back to the barn while he stayed with the tractor. Hair raising moments.

I thought for sure that hay was going over! It would be a slightly big project but have you thought of putting drainage lines around the property? With as much water as you seem to get you could probably make your own little pond for the horses to play in!

Praying for the flooding to stop and not to do any more damage to the rescue grounds or barns
I may be asking a dumb question but did you think of hanging the square box fans upside down so you could reach the controls from the ground without a ladder. It shouldn’t affect their use at all. I’ve used them sideways before at least. You could use a twist tie or zip tie on cord to keep up out of way. Just be able to not have to use ladder when you want to adjust fan or turn on and off.

Please watch the placement of the yellow rope halter on that first horse. Much too low! It can cause a nose break if he pulls hard.
If you watch our Schmitt Clinic, they actually recommend the halter be lower!

Why do people have to pay you, to be able to surrender horses to you???
It doesn't make sense to me...
If they can't afford to keep the Horse, why would they then pay you, and not just put the horse up for sale instead ...
You pay for Horses..? don't you?
Doesn't it make more sense, for you to at least, take in horses for free..??
Being we are a non profit and run off of donations, if we accept every horse for free, we would not have the funds to care for them. The surrender fee covers their initial intake costs when they arrive at our shelter. If a horse comes to our shelter UTD on certain cares, we will lower the surrender fee. We do have free surrender events as well where we waive the surrender fees. Most people who want their horse to go to a good place and avoid the auctions will pay the surrender fee no problem! One day we hope to have enough money to waive the fees but right now we do not.

I understand that you would ask people to donate, if as you say, they just want their horse not to go to auction, and Risch the Slaughter...
But to turn down a person, that can afford to pay the surrender fee.. and then go to an auction, and pay for The same Horse there, now with a lot of medical issues.. just seems a little wrong...
I have to say that I don't know the laws in your country, and that was part of the reason that I asked...
I definitely think it's amazing that you go to auction, saving animals in need...
But maybe it would be enough, if you asked for donations, instead..???

Prada is so sweet, I hope she has a future of happiness despite her abnormalities, bless her lil self.
So for the gal sanding.. You really should wear a mask because you are breathing in metal dust and rust into your lungs 🫁 Very toxic also prep the metal with the correct cleaner powder coat, a non-toxic paint that is animal friendly. 🫠
