Thank you for showing us HOW you moved her. That's a very easy yet effective and nonvasive way to move the horse. (I must confess...I didn't like the "head-pulling...😲 sorry...❤) So... the Vet will bring her "reversal" next time, I'm sure. 😋 We all learn every day. 😘 This is the third video in this "series", I've watched today: New Years Day. That 34 yr old looked VERY GOOD ! I would NEVER had put her on over 22; and I would guess on draft/arabian?; or Pure Arabian. I would also guess Polish blood lines. 🫠 ❤ The 9 yr old with the bad eye; I would remove it. It may be painful? She was very twitchy, but it might be nerves.

Btw...the "swayback pinto" had several "muscle spasm" , but I think you missed it. ( or he could just be nervous, just coming to a new place. But... just keep an eye on that...; which I know you always do ❤) Lol...take no offense, but I'm also a veterinary assistant and did 1 year of school to be a Veterinarian. ( I had to give up my "dream job", when my beautiful son was born with special needs, as well as Asbergers and his Dad abandoned us; ...THE BUTT-HOLE!! 😝) So...once again... pauly the warrior who does battle to save a horses life. these horses can seriously injury him even kill him. wondering maybe fergie was druggedat teh auction? a guy up the street used to have two huge belgians and he had built a special contraption that helps him do their feet in safty for him, of course these two were amish drafts but the lady (the guys mother) loved horses and she loved on them until she died. now they have a tenn walker and pony for his little nephews and neices? not sure they never had children. anyway poor pauly

I had 4 horses that become more financially hard to take care of, they were loved greatly but I was able to do the hardest thing for me but the best thing for them. I gave 1 away for a family to work youngsters with. The next horse I gave away to a teenager who worked with others horses but didn't have her own horse. The people fell in love and I know they were able to provide excellent care. The used her in Is gymcana and went on to win everything that was win able. The first 2 mares were Arabians. The next was a Morgan, he was the hardest to part with. I had the addresses of all of the new owners. The Morgan is intelligent and went on to star in a music video,running in the desert and was taught to listen and perform by a whistle. So even though it was difficult, finding new good homes for them took a burden off the process. I love horses but it not in my future anymore.

You should get Cross Ties to protect your blacksmith. Also you will be able to comfort by petting and talking to the horse.

I was re-watching this one. I forgot how gacky (Kansas word) the scene was where Dr. Dave was squeezing out the pus from his eye. I had to scroll the screen up until he got past that scene. Ew, ew, ew....

Remember, we are predators with our eyes together facing forward. Horses are prey animals with their eyes fixed on the side of their head. Sneaking up on them is a predatory thing, and naturally, the horse will be afraid. Once they give you two eyes, you should look away and back up. Try not to look them in the eyes, as well. Another predatory thing.

I have never had a horse and i am old now, never will but fascinated by the foot care and all aspects of these beautiful animals. Thank you for sharing the good the bad and the ugly. Good job rescue people.

You are missing a crucial step here between what you are doing and what Pauly will do. Pauly will put her leg between his to have both hands free. Perhaps it is that, in conjunction with the hammering, which she is objecting to? I always teach my horses to let me handle the feet the way the farrier will, not the way an handler/owner will, as you did here. To further prepare her, you will need to progress from a tinny hoofpick to a proper shoeing hammer which feels and sounds very different.

I hope they all have a speedy recovery and regain their good health again and their strength too.

Patrick has stolen my heart, and he reminds me of a certain horse known as Queen Uniek, who is no longer around anymore and is up in horse heaven she was a freisian horse mare with a heart of gold and a sweet as sugar temperament and a good friend to all who have known her great with kids and pets and stole everyone's hearts including mine. And I needed a new horse to move on to follow the story of it might as well be his and all the other horses too.

Dr Kristen is such a great vet. Love watching her work. Brooke is doing so well with Lulu.

In the last two days I've seen a hundred vids of people in various size pastures. Ive not seen ONE person turn their back and walk away once the horse acknowledged them. Throughout my kidhood I was the horse catcher once my dad got frustrated chasing them around our 80 acre horse pasture. Pursue a horse until his brain turns on. At that point he may remember the last time you were there with a handful of cracked corn in the bucket. Merry, merry, happy, happy!

What happened to Bobby Magee?

I wonder if you take into account the size & age of the horse and the weight of the rider +saddle because a horse shouldn't carry too much weight as it gets older or too much weight for it's size. I think there's a chart somewhere that gives some perameters. I think something to consider? Cuz it can sore a horse's back too. However, mules can carry much more weight for their size, which you probably already know.😊
