Can you imagine how painful it would be to wear different size shoes for weeks without relief? Not only would your feet hurt but your legs, hips, and back. Glad you are working with a ferrier who knows his art.

These poor Horses with terrible foot problems came from somewhere, someone neglected this poor Horse badly and let him suffer for years, His Coat not brushed out ever, eye disease, multiple Organ disease from negligence why is this Organization not advocating for the Horse and allowing this neglect to go unpunished, maybe I’m nieve in this neck of the woods but Cruelty cannot and shouldn’t go unchecked. Punish Cruelty

I really appreciate the acknowledgement going back to the horses after the adjustments. Their faces are so expressive, their surprise and contentment when they know they won't be hurt by your gentle hands. Thank you for respecting these beautiful animals, and making their lives better, as well as teaching them that some humans are just there to help.❤

I'm a large and companion animal vet in North Chicago. It is so refreshing to hear a Farrier know what he is ACTUALLY talking about! I've had so many farriers for my horses and I try to keep the ones that actually know what they are doing. (Note: I don't tell the farriers I'm a vet at first until I get to know them)
Keep that man at all costs!

Your channel just earned my subscription. On the white horse with the hoof issue...
The sugar draws lymph into the wound, nourishing regenerating tissues and preventing bacteria growth. Swelling is reduced, white cells that help clean and debride the wound are attracted and nourished, and a protective layer of protein is formed over the wound. Sugar also deodorizes necrotic wounds...
    just an idea...

Oh my god that poor horse with those shoes..what sort of 'farrier ' puts a shoe on UPSIDE DOWN ? AND USE DRAFT NAILS..jeez that poor poor horse..and the one with the thrush .to be honest ALL their feet..except for the mini's were awful..l don't know farriering but all l have to do is look at Pauly's reaction to know it ain't good..!! His disgust shows..and rightly so because this is his domain and things like this give farriers a bad name..Pauly..YOU ROCK..loved you picking up Biggie Smalls😂😂.. The chiropractor did amazing with Indy and Julie too.. it made me laugh when Julie grudgingly gave a lick😊.. l think what they can do is amazing.. l have awful arthritis and would just love to go to a chiropractor just to see if it could help.. my mom had to wear a steel corset for yrs then she went to a chiropractor who worked wonders and advised her to go dancing which she couldn't do because of the pain lifting her arms..she went every 6 weeks for about a yr then didn't need it anymore..he changed her life although she did say the first time she heard a crack she thought he'd broken a bone😂.. anyway enough chatter from me..lovely to see Lily go to someone who knows her and will give her the time she needs to learn to trust again..we humans have a LOT to answer for..😢.. Halo's cut was bad..the vet did a great job stitching it..and fingers 🤞 crossed its not cancerous just proud flesh..its amazing how horses do that with the proud flesh thingy.. its definitely a bleeder..hopefully Pauly can sort the weird hoof but out next time..great new shute already been christened by Halo..!!🎉.. Great video ladies and the wonderful Nate and Pauly..l so look forward to your vids..the longer the better..l sit down with a cuppa in bed..earphones in and just enjoy..Thank you..and God Bless you all for your hard work and dedication..🇬🇧💕✝️🙏👍👏🐎🐎🐎🐴🐴🫏🫏🇺🇸

I used to work with an old retired big grey hanoverian mare and any sort of scrape or injury due to her cushings would leave her with granulation tissue. I remember we had to wrap her pasturns every day and clean her pasturn wounds because she would get proud flesh and granulation tissue where she would get these wicked bedsores... it was a constant battle we eventually found some solid bedsore boots that she would be turned out in when it was dry and put to bed with (at night check) that wouldnt rub her skin raw. Thank goodness.

Pauly was referring to Falabella and they are awesome little horses if bred properly. They are super intelligent and have unusually long life spans at over 40 yrs. From what i know about them (which isn't a bunch) they average at like 7 or 8 hands, classified as a true mini, and originated from Argentina.

    • @gilianguest8485
      @gilianguest8485 4 місяці тому

Falabellas have much finer bones than minis and should be ridden by even small children. Minis are descended from shetlands and have much denser bone. Their coats are also finer than minis.

I had a young filly that had proud flesh on the front of her leg where she had cut it on a barbed wire fence. An old horseman had me get kerosine and salt. He mixed it together and put it as a poultice on the proud flesh with changing the wrap every day and it was healed up within a week. Her leg didn't even have a scar on it when it was done.

Dr Kristin, Dr Wodack and Pauly are absolutely priceless! It is darn near impossible to find a vet, chiropractor and farrier that all see eye to eye and work in tune with one another. Most of the time self importance plays a part with one, or all, of them. Y'all hit the jackpot with those three!
I am proud to see someone step up and care for these poor horses. I am very proud of all of you! This is both physically and mentally demanding and exhausting. If that isn't enough, it drains a bank account quickly. The kindness and patience that all of you show is admirable. May God keep blessing your organization and all of you individually, as well! Keep up the great work!❤
    *WARNING* Unsolicited Advice:
For the proud flesh, a product called Wonder Dust works miracles!
You start application once the wound starts healing, and it 'eats' the proud flesh as it starts to form. It has saved me alot of expense and my horses alot of misery. My vet recommended Wonder Dust 35+ years ago, and I have used it ever since! Never a disappointment!

My first horse and my heart horse was an older appy named Tico, I still miss her 30 years later. Shoeing isn't anything you should cheap out on or just get anyone! One of the fastest way to undermine anything else you are doing for your horse/pony. So many people do not understand how expensive the up keep is for a horse, there is more then just feeding them and riding them!

No matter the species of mammal, inclusive of humans, feet are complex and wonderful structures which require a surprising amount of proper and ongoing care!
Cheaping out on the shoes is, as Franklin might have said, “penny wise and pound foolish.” There is no upside, only a downside, to neglecting the far distal end to a leg!
I’m not surprised to find that the farrier was a wrestler; he carries himself well yet.
By and large these rescue, respite, recovery, rehab and rehoming organizations seem to do much good!!

I went to visit my dad's house. When he was a kid they had a bunch of horses on their property. They had this one horse which was completely blind. But that horse knenowhere her stall was. No matter where you brought her on that property, she would go right back to her stall so a lot of times my dad's dad and my dad would have that horse lead the rest of the horses to. The stable. The same horse trampled a wolf to death. That horse was fearless. It could smell really well.Oh and if it didn't like you could not go near it.

Thank you all for showing the horses and focusing on the chiro, vet, and farrier. Love seeing the full process with the horses included. Please dont go the route of horse plus videos, where 90% of the videos are just blather, begging for funds, and static shots of the barn sign.

Just putting it out there in regards to the white horse with the hoof issue but, a few years ago a friend of mine had an ulcer that wouldn't heal. He was diabetic and there were problems with circulation and blood supply and other issues. It went on for so long and got so bad that they were going to amputate his foot but, they offered him a trial of "maggot therapy" instead. He accepted and was, as far as l know, the first person in Aotearoa/ New Zealand to try it. They put specially bred sterile green-bottle fly maggots (apparently smaller than a grain of rice) on the wound and, every few days he went back to hospital and they swapped them out for new ones. Apparently maggots actually only eat decaying flesh and kill bacteria and, within about a month the wound had healed enough that they were able to save his foot. According to him, it was pretty painless and he couldn't really feel them, plus he was pretty stoked to get the chance to save his foot. Might be worth trying on the horse hoof, if you can't get to it to get it clean any other way. 😊

I wonder if the Chiropractor ever needs a Chiropractor, regardless she performs magic on the horses, bless❤❤❤

I'm so glad that these poor horses who need so much help have such an excellent farrier for their neglected feet. I've worked with jumpers and thoroughrbed race horses, whose feet were always cared for properly, so I haven't seen such cases as you get. So glad that you do what you do to help these magnificent animals! Happy Lily has found her forever home. Curious as to what on earth happened to her tail? Did it get caught in something?

My sister has a few horses. One of them is a pain in the butt. She is extremely smart. And big and she knows it. About once a month I have to go chase her through the woods to get her back into the property. The problem is is there's a abandoned orchard near my sister's house. Somehow the horse figured it out. And she figured out there is a swamp in between the two places. So if you're tracking her in the woods like I have to a lot. She will go back-and-forth.Cross that swamp numerous times to end up in that orchard. She has a scar on her side where she slid in the swamp and somehow found a piece of bob wire. But she is a very strong horse. But when you catch her, she gives up and lets you leader to the house until she wants to do it again.Or something allows it to happen. The horse is about seventeen or eighteen hands
